We heal as one was dedicated to the Philippine health workers during the Covid19 pandemic.
Oh wow I suddenly remembered the opening ceremony of the 2019 South-East Asian Games that was hosted by the Philippines where the song We Win As One became its official theme song. Said masterpiece was modified to empower hope amongst the people amidst the pandemic; hence, later entitled We Heal As One. Hopefully you could have the time to react to the latter parts of the opening salvo of the Games where various artists came together for an epic performance. 🤗🤗🤗

Ryan Cayabyab is a musician, composer/ song-writer, conductor. He has composed songs for most of the Philippines' legendary singers. His compositions have been used in commercials, TV and movie etc. and has composed for events of national and international importance. He was awarded as a National Artist for Music in 2018. The Order of National Artists of the Philippines is the highest order bestowed by the government to Filipinos who made significant contributions to the development of Philippine art. Originally conferred as an award, it was elevated to the status of an Order in 2003. The song "We Heal as One" was composed as a rallying song for the country going through the COVID19 pandemic.
He composed for and trained a whole generation of Filipino singers and musical artists
Ryan Cayabyab, the "Maestro". You know The Coconut Nut song, right? That's his. He's a great composer who's created a lot of songs for other artists. He particularly wrote for the SMOKEY MOUNTAIN group, who originally sang the Coconut Nut.
You should cover the Smokey Mountain (a group of teenaged boys and girls) with their signature song which won them 1st prize in Tokyo, decades ago. Thanks much.

You actually know Ryan Cayabyab from the video you reacted to Regine Velasquez during her rehearsal at her house. He was the man playing the piano. Maestro Ryan Cayabyab is our national artist and he has composed a lot of very beautiful songs for all other artists, but her favorite singer is Regine. You've seen Maestro Ryan at least once. Remember that rehearsal video of Kween Regine 👑 at her home? You know, that one where WE ALL were amazed by how she projected insane vocals in such a weird sitting posture. Yep, the Piano man was Maestro Ryan.
BTW, I literally grew up thinking that his first name is "Maestro Ryan". He's always introduced that way 😅 I guess I say DASUURV! 😂

RYAN CAYABYAB (A NATIONAL ARTIST) composed this song "WE HEAL AS ONE", as hope for everyone to heal and break the clutches of the PANDEMIC. Martin grew up in the States and I believe he just learned how to speak Tagalog when he came back to the Phils when he was already an adult. That is why he has a twang when he is singing in Tagalog.

Yes, Martin and Gary are friends. I think they were friends before either of them got well-known in the industry (they started pretty much around the same time) and were compared a lot - people wanted them to be competing with each other. Jaya interviewed both men during the pandemic and they talked about how the other person helped them strive to do better in order to keep up. Also: Gary's son is married to Martin's niece and both men are gaga over their daughter (Gary's granddaughter, Martin's grand-niece). The little girl makes an appearance in the Jaya interview!

We heal as one was actually a song for the Sea games and Lea is the chosen singer and she even had a music video and was asked to Sing in the South east asian games to perform that song but Lea has a prior commitment and was in Singapore for Sweeney Todd.
