A bit of Trivia… that guy Mr Martin Nievera is one of the first people to discover Regine and paved her first break in TV, he was the one who made the suggestion to use the name Regine Velasquez as her stage name.

ReRegine has been singing for more than 40 years now without falter.. she's the Philippines' norm in singing, that's why the so called "birit" queen and younger and new and budding singers emulate her.. i think Katrina also has been mentored by her earlier in her career.. in our country, the established professional singers are usually guiding the new ones.
