This is an awesome video! I enjoyed it from start to finish. Thank you for posting it. What a hidden treasure this place is! I love alligators and this would be the ultimate alligator viewing area. I also loved seeing the coyote.

When we visited the park, as soon as we entered, we saw about six gigantic alligators (could they have been fifteen feet long?) sunning themselves on the sandy bank by the water. Scared the heck out of me! Never in a million years would I take the walk in this video!

What time of the year was it? We were there a week ago, early January and had to walk all the way to the "deep hole" to see the gators.

This is one of our favorite parks. I remember it from the 1960's when you could see wild animals walking around everywhere at sunset. Now, you have to go looking for them - but they are still there! We hope to go again soon.....

Agree, went for a late night drive... saw a bunny, a wild hog standing in the middle of the road, didn't even budge, I don't have bright headlights anyway... We also saw the sunrise & the sunset and some birds flying over.

Spectacular alligator footage. They look plentiful and content.
Btw, I know they're a menace where they reproduce in number, but I recently saw a Dodo channel video about a feral hog who was wounded and left to suffer.
An animal rescuer found him, nursed him back to health and brought him to a sanctuary. This may come as a surprise, but evidence of the hog's gentleness was present throughout the entire presentation. Ugly? You bet. But he was a good boy.
It's senseless and cruel to leave any animal to suffer - even 'despised' ones.
Happy trails... and safe ones, y'all

I went on an airboat ride there and the guide told me that every year, some idiots go out there at dusk or night when they are feeding and there have been people killed by gators there for going out at night. People kayak there with kids. I think that's insane. It only takes one of those gators who want a little mid-afternoon snack to tip a Kayak and it's over. They have had people killed there in the past (mostly at night) for doing stupid stuff. There are plenty of places to kayak in Florida…this wouldn't be my favorite.

Nope! 24 deaths in FL from 1948 to 2016 per FWC. About 1 fatal attack STATEWIDE every 3 years. Airboat capts tell all kinds of stories for tourists. There are no children kayaking at Deep Hole....

If you swim here, stay at least one foot away from alligators for your own protection. If you feel an alligator biting you, you are closer than a foot, and need slowly back away to maintain a safe distance.

I think there's too many alligators to be messin' with in that water, wildlife is wildlife, if they have the chance they'll eat you for a meal. I'm talking about the big ones that don't get scared for anything.

Great video!! From where the birdwalk begins, at sunrise there was a red shouldered hawk or could've been a red kestrel - not sure which one was on the right side where the birdwalk starts and was gliding above the green growing grass and darting straight down into the grass to hunt. It would come back out and keep flying over. It was beautiful to see.

Anyone here bc of the stupid man that decided to go swimming in the waters looking for alligators and one bite his head??? They ended up blaming the alligator....imagine someone breaking into your home and you defend yourself and then YOU end up being blamed for it...does that make sense.
