    I had gotten 4 of the old D&D copper dragons about a year ago. Nice models but they were just a little too yellow to look like copper, so I mixed GW’s Scorched Brown with Mithril Silver and dry brushed that onto them to darken them up a bit, then I washed with some Dark Angel Green and acrylic floor polish (since copper oxide is green). That did wonders for them. That’s my same issue with that Pathfinder copper dragon, he looks way more like brass than copper.

    Little green stuff, some pins and sculpting you could turn one of those halfling butchers into a rogue

    Overall a cool set. I like the uniqueness in most of the minis. And the Nightmare Dragon is sweet.

    I should of known I could count on Blandco to be the first to finally make a video on Maze of Death boosters! Thanks for the vid! Totally pumped for this set and I have a case on it’s way. All and all I think this set will be very satisfying. Last case I purchased was Deadly Foes and I was very satisfied for that. Pathfinder has been nailing it since Rusty Dragon Inn. I also got the elements lords case incentive. The Fire Elemental is amazing.

      Man good for you. I wasn't able to get the case incentive this time.

    Love the lizard folk model, wouldn’t mind having a few of those with my GW and Mantic models

      Blandco would be perfect to use as a Saurain for Dark Sun

    Weirdly enough in all the Pathfinder art the Ice Devil's spear is always the same color as his carapace! Weird stuff!

      @DrowNemdas 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd go full psycho with that - Ice Devils make weapons - from other Ice Devils. Ice Hell is a Darwinist wasteland where the strong survive and the weak become spears, tents, chairs and funny hats.

    • @Blandco
      @Blandco  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting! That must be a Pathfinder thing maybe since D&D ice devils seem to have metal spears.

    I pulled the exact same pack with the Minotaur, and sea drake seems less random than I thought! Still cool.

    (Long ramble ahead on what Pitborn are and how your vids are good and cool and fun and help a lot and also I love the owlbear cub but that's unrelated)
    Hey man, at the 6:30 mark, love your vids! As a lover of minis and as someone finally DMing again after like a year and a very harsh game-group break up these vids have kept me going and will now help me get what I need.
    As for the Pitborn - Pathfinder has this thing where any race that's "Human + X" aside from oddly enough elves has subtypes - what this means is Dhampir, Aasimar and Tieflings can just be that, and basically while they probs do get their heritage from a single source (Dhampir have one vampire parent, Tieflings and Aasimar have one ancestor) some of them display really specific traits - so since a Peri is basically a chaotic fire angel of sorts that is more susceptible to corruption, an Aasimar with one as an ancestor might either just be generic silver-haired angel guy or, in one of my PCs case, be a type of Aasimar with fiery hair and basically totally different stats from an Aasimar. So Pitborn are basically, if the memory serves me correctly, Tieflings with very blatant Demon heritage rather than just "IDK, my great great grandfather had an affair with an evil fiend". There's oni, kyton, devil, demon etc. tieflings, angel, azata, archon, Peri etc. Aasimar, Moroi, Noseferatu, Jiang-Shi Dhampir etc. as well as Skinwalkers which is like lycanthropy, but a race. It doesn't make much sense logically to me why everyone wouldn't just be a subrace then but IDK. Apologies for the long ramble, I actually don't know much about PF lore or rules or anything, I just read that in my races book I've had and used for quite a while.

      Interesting stuff! I should get more into Pathfinder but I am having such a good time with D&D right now. Maybe I can find a game nearbye.

      D&D 5E I will say I've not played - kinda untrue but it was literally my first game at a high school D&D club and it was pretty garbage but 5E looks great. Pathfinder, for as much flak as the combat gets for being slow, has very FUN combat. And hey, it's D20, therefore if you want something in your game it already exists, just google it. Want a Tusken Raider race? It's in some Star wars book. Want alternate classes? Just give me an idea and you can find 5 of them online to pick from. Kobold Xenomorph? I legitimately have that saved on my Onedrive. Homebrew or 3rd Party, official or a modified version of something else, it exists.

    In dark sun there was a small rat race called the tari.
    They were actually pretty interesting. They were sewer halflings haha. They were a little taller than halflings... And they had a poison bite. They also had a back story involving an advanced civilization, that fell long ago.
    Anyway you could use the tari as a baseline for these miniatures, and there are works of fiction in that book series, that go into tari culture.
    www.lomion.de/cmm/tari.php
    I mentioned it a while ago... but meant to post some information ... so there is a link of the second edition monster entry.
    And for the record a 2nd edition armorclass of 6 is the equivalent to a 14 armorclass in 5th edition.
    I miss Thac0
    Interestingly enough, the sorcerer king Kalid'ma was tasked with the genocide of the tari during the cleansing wars. He failed, but did manage to reduce the once great race to the shadows.
    The sorceror-king himself is now trapped in a coma in ravenloft by the evil of his high-templar and the dark powers of the domain of dread.
    Incidentally, some theorize that the demiplane of dread is a maze created by the lady of pain to remove the most evil of mortals , and help preserve the balance of the multiverse.
