PRIMARY BEAM to SECONDARY BEAM CONNECTION | RCC Detailing

Hello friends,
In this video I have shown some crucial points with regards to the connection between primary and secondary beam in RCC which we have to keep in mind while executing the work. sir, any beam connecting two columns is a primary beam irrespective of its direction whether length wise or breadth wise.

My Mason filled the beam of one feet height on west side starting from the height of 2 feet from ngl. Total height of ngl plus beam becomes 3 feet.Now he is filling the other beams starting from the height of three feet and saying that other beams will rest on the top of that beam(already filled on west side). Is it right way?

Tab hanger bars ate hai apko hanger bars ko primary beam ke top bar se tie karna hota hai aur secondary beam ka bottom bar hanger bars le rest karna hota hai.

Yes sir when we need to provide secondary beam?

I can explain two examples of this..
1. When there is a two way slab there will be beams required on all four sides so in that case the secondary beams will support the shorter side and primary beams support the longer side of slab.
2. Mainly during the framing plan primary beams are made to run between column to column and after that if there is any requirement for beams in between then these beams are rested on the primary beams.
