I appreciate hearing that you can mix all the ingredients together before stacking into the jars. It makes more sense to see everything seasoned together
Thank you, Angela, for being part of this collaboration. I'm sure I'd have to cut back on heat, but the recipe is great. Thank you also for showing that the canner isn't always pretty inside after some foods are canned. Great job, and thank you Leisa and forjars. 😊
I love Mexican food, so this sounds delicious! I appreciate your honesty that sometimes things don’t go as planned even when you follow the instructions. It’s very reassuring for those of us who haven’t been doing this as long!
Thanks Angela - great video! So glad you are participating again in Canuary 2025! Your recipe sounds delicious - beef with any recipe add-ins is my favorite meat to can. Appreciated you showing how thoroughly you washed your jars - too many people just wipe their jars with a damp cloth rather than really washing them. Thanks!
Thank you for showing the siphoning! Most channels show perfectly clean finished product, and it’s nice to see the regular down and dirty of canning, while confirming that a good seal can still happen.
Oh my gosh! Thank you for sharing this recipe! This sounds incredible. How easy to open a jar and have almost instant dinner. My family will love this. Thank you for the tip of mixing it all together before putting in the jar.
I love seeing different people can. Not going to lie when you were putting all the ingredients in one bowl I was thinking I didn’t like that too much. But then after seeing you put the jars together and finish the process I realized I did like that! Nice job. Thanks for sharing
Im loving the meat canning videos in this collaboration! Very inspiring to see how it works. I appreciate seeing how you handled the siphoning with no stress.
Any kind of Mexican food is a favorite at our house. Thank you for this demonstration. Love, "We're not cookin for lookin, we're cooking for eating." So good Leisa may steal that one.
Oh my goodness! Thank you for this. I love chipotle peppers and watching this recipe come together has made me so hungry. I think I'm going to have to use that "We're not cooking for looking."
Angela, I’m LOVING this recipe! I’ve only been canning a few years, this will be my first year canning “meals” and not just “single ingredients”! You are right, this recipe sounds great for tacos! ❤ Thank you for sharing! 😊
Another good sounding canning recipe! I am so enjoying watching this collaboration of videos so far. I love that you showed all the steps and even showed us the water in the canner and explained why you believe it happened. It's exciting when we see clear water after canning but in reality we can occasionally get some that create quite a mess. Thank you for sharing your video!
I loved your video. You make canning fun. I will definitely be trying this recipe. I also loved your little trick of marking your debubbler so you know how much water to put in your canner. Very clever!
Thank you, Angela! For collaborating with Leisa and her Posse of Canners! for this years Canuary! I will definitely be looking into making and putting this on our Shelf! We love anything with a Mexican flare!! Wonderful video!
I found some of this on my pantry shelf the other day. It is VERY good - great for a quick dinner. We usually make soft tacos with it but have also made GREAT quesadillas and burritos with this - serve it with some black beans, salsa and cheese and you have a complete meal in less than 20 minutes - my kind of "fast food". Thanks for participating in Canuary and thanks for this video - this recipe is a keeper.
Thank you for participating in this Canuary 😊 We love jar meals for quick suppers. Just did beef stroganoff & it's great. Now I'm going to try this recipe to have for soft tacos! Thank you so much sharing 😊
I think my husband and kids would really like this! We do taco tuesday every week and this will be a great addition for variety. Thank you for being part of Canuary and Thank you to For Jars and Leisa Sutton too!
We always have a lot of beef since my husband is a former dairy farmer turned beef farmer. This will make a nice way to move it from the freezer to the shelf and make some easy prep meals. I work two jobs so easy is my friend!!
I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who washes their jars in a sink of soapy water. I love having meats on the shelf that help me get a quick meal on the table. Thanks for adding another quick flavor for my family.
Thank you Angela! I can beef as much as I can. I have done it both ways, raw pack and packed with broth. I preferred the raw pack method and I can the broth separately. When I have canned the broth with the meat, I did leave 1/4 to a 1/2 inch additional space. It turned out fine when I did that.
Very nice item to have on shelf, especially when company pops over. Really like the split screen, very helpful. Thank you Angela. Tell Leisa, thank you, I am sure all the calab and yourself put a lot of time in. Forjars is a great company
Thank you for participating in Canuary. Taco's are a favorite in our home and even better when already ready to go. I do a lot of jar washing too. Good idea to cut down on the broth.
I love the way you share canning recipes that add variety to our "plain" ones. I have the book, but have not explored this one - You're fun to watch and listen to - thank you for the positive energy and the joy you bring to canning!
What a wonderful demonstration I love how you went from start (mixing everything together makes it so easy for me) to finishing up with washing your jars. This is 1 step I know alot of people leave out.
I love how simple this recipe is. Growing up in the southwest, those flavors speak to me and the food isn't complicated when it's authentic. I'm adding this to my stock this year for sure.
Thank you for your video for Canuary 2025!! I love that you go over and show the steps to on loading the canner and what to check on the canning lid before places the lid on. And you went over all the steps to complete the canning process. From state to finish.
I love fried burritos and I'm anxious to use your canned Chipotle recipe when making them. The meat chunks will compliment the refried beans that I use. I've used frozen burritos from the store which were mushy and usually burned while cooking. Homemade from the pantry is the way to go for me. Thank you for your well presented video.
Hey Angela, I’m so grateful to be able to join you while you prepare this recipe. I find that most of the time when canning meat recipes if I place my ingredient in the jars separately I’m able to get more in the jars and only 3/4 of liquid, the liquid the meat makes will usually fill the jars.
I really want to try this but hubby and I can no longer eat hot peppers or spices. Some things do present more of a challenge trying to prevent siphoning. Sometimes it just happens. At worst , I just cool it down and put in a freezer bag to use it soon. Thanks for including the challenges as well . Happy canning.
Love learning the little tips from all the Canuary videos. When canning meats I find it better to use wide mouth jars. Easier to get meat out and so much easier to clean.
This recipe looks great! Thank you so much for sharing. I just loved the, “Not cooking for looking” comment❤️ You explain everything very well; like the difference in measuring out dehydrated versus freeze dried seasonings for a recipe….. I would say there are many that may not know that.
I love homemade tacos!! This sounds great! Thank you for sharing your video! Thank you, Suttons Daze and ForJars for sponsoring this wonderful collaboration!!
Thanks for sharing your recipe. Looks delicious! There is nothing better than home raised meats. I have friends who raise a cow for us and we raise chickens for them. It’s so wonderful to choose your cuts. We eat a lot of ground beef and not so many steaks. Our butcher stopped asking me, “Are you sure you want that ground”? She used to say, “Do you know what steaks can be made from that”? Yep! I know… but it’ll go to waste if I don’t grind it. I like choices…
What a time saver. I will have to lower the heat but it sure looks yummy. I think this would make amazing nachos. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Thanks to Lisa and For Jars for sponsoring 2025 Canuary. Blessings
This recipe looks amazing I can’t wait to try it! I also love how you show that you inspect the components on the lid! This is one thing I also stress to anyone I help start canning. Thank you for your participation again this year!
I’ve never cooked brisket. Well I tried once but it wasn’t successful. I love how canning meat makes it so tender. So I think trying brisket again using the pressure canning method this time will be exciting. So I’m enjoying learning from this video! Thx
I appreciate all the time and attention you put into your video. Love your fancy graphics. I also appreciate you normalizing siphoning. It happens sometimes even when I do everything right. Enjoyed your canning.
They look amazing! The prepared beef and seasonings looked fabulous, I bet your house really smelled yummy! What a great meal for the pantry. Thank you for sharing and participating.
I appreciate hearing that you can mix all the ingredients together before stacking into the jars. It makes more sense to see everything seasoned together
ya... I do it both ways, either way works...
Great tutorial. Thanks
Thank you, Angela, for being part of this collaboration. I'm sure I'd have to cut back on heat, but the recipe is great. Thank you also for showing that the canner isn't always pretty inside after some foods are canned. Great job, and thank you Leisa and forjars. 😊
exactly

I appreciate the Canuary challenge! I love Liesa, and many, many of the participants!! Thank you!!
Love this one! I keep it on the shelf with beef and chicken. Thank you so much for being part of Canuary 🥰
I need to make some with chicken too...
I make it regularly, but I use pork. I get it when it’s on sale for 99 cents per pound. Can never find beef or chicken that cheap.
I’m jotting all of this down. Adding pork or chicken to this mix sounds fantastic and is a great way to diversify the meals on the shelves.
I love have having meat on my shelf also!!
Thank you for being part of this collaboration! I can't wait to try this chipotle beef recipe.
Thank you for showing the siphoning! Most channels show perfectly clean finished product, and it’s nice to see the regular down and dirty of canning, while confirming that a good seal can still happen.
Thanks, glad you appreciated that!
I agree! I like the real life aspect of this.
Oh my gosh! Thank you for sharing this recipe! This sounds incredible. How easy to open a jar and have almost instant dinner. My family will love this. Thank you for the tip of mixing it all together before putting in the jar.
“Not cookin for lookin’” I love it! Will be using that phrase often. I do like to see it all mixed together before jarring.
Greatly enjoying Canuary
It is all about the food, lol!
I love seeing different people can. Not going to lie when you were putting all the ingredients in one bowl I was thinking I didn’t like that too much. But then after seeing you put the jars together and finish the process I realized I did like that! Nice job. Thanks for sharing
Ha ha, glad you stuck with me on that!
Im loving the meat canning videos in this collaboration! Very inspiring to see how it works. I appreciate seeing how you handled the siphoning with no stress.
Thanks for participating in canuary! I love to see all of the different things people are making ❤
Any kind of Mexican food is a favorite at our house. Thank you for this demonstration. Love, "We're not cookin for lookin, we're cooking for eating." So good Leisa may steal that one.
That made my day too! It reminds me of what my Mom used to say "God said make a 'joyful noise', Not a pretty one!" 😅 😊
Ha ha... you know we're all about that!
I love your intro with the previews of what's to come! I also like the split screen showing a close up of your chopping.
You'll love it!
You can’t go wrong making anything to make a good taco, quesadilla, burrito and on and on. My husband will love this. Thx.
Let me know how it goes!
I love having shelf stable meals ready to use!
Thanks for sharing. It's great to see different ways to season canned meats.
Another good sounding canning recipe! I am so enjoying watching this collaboration of videos so far. I’m with you on the water, it’s not always perfect.
I'd love to have tacos in a jar ready for a lazy or busy day! Thanks for a great Canuary entry!
We love tacos! Thank you for this recipe! It makes a very quick convenient dinner in a jar!
Thanks for your explanation on all steps, this sounds delicious & definitely a pantry staple!
I loved your video. You make canning fun. I will definitely be trying this recipe. I also loved your little trick of marking your debubbler so you know how much water to put in your canner. Very clever!
I ❤ mexican dishes. This one will be on our pantry shelf soon! Thank you for sharing😊

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who washes their jars in a sink of soapy water. I love having meats on the shelf that help me get a quick meal on the table. Thanks for adding another quick flavor for my family.
So handy, isn't it?!
Thanks for participating in Canuary. It's a great way to encourage those of us with pressure canners to try something new.

Very nice item to have on shelf, especially when company pops over. Really like the split screen, very helpful. Thank you Angela. Tell Leisa, thank you, I am sure all the calab and yourself put a lot of time in. Forjars is a great company
Glad you liked that part!
My favorite is to have a meal-in-a -jar. For some reason love this more than ingredients in a jar.
I think a meal in a jar is super satisfying.
Thank you for participating in Canuary. Taco's are a favorite in our home and even better when already ready to go. I do a lot of jar washing too. Good idea to cut down on the broth.
You are going to love these!
Interesting canning recipe and your personality is great. Thanks for your tips and all the sponsors of canuary.
I love the way you share canning recipes that add variety to our "plain" ones. I have the book, but have not explored this one - You're fun to watch and listen to - thank you for the positive energy and the joy you bring to canning!
It is a really good book and I am so glad you enjoyed the video!
I am very new to canning and I am happy you show everything. I think that is how we learn . Glad I found this learning a lot.
Great video. 😊
Thanks for yet another great recipe, Angela! I'm with you...I like my jars nice and sparkling when I put them on the shelves!
It makes them look so much nicer!

You're going to love them!
interesting recipe with chipotle--must try!!

This sounds good!!! We like chipolte flavor.
Angela, Thank you for your contribution to Canuary. I enjoy canning meat as a starter or a complete meal.
You bet, it's so versatile!
Thank you for showing that sometimes there’s a problem, and how to calmly address the issue.
It happens to the best of us!
The beef canned this way with the chipotle sounds so good. I like that we learn together even if we have done it for awhile. Thanks for showing us.
