I think Skoda have done a fantastic job with the Kodiaq & this new version is certainly a head turner. Quality inside is AWSOME. I’m so impressed that I’m going to buy one! ✅👍😊. Great review by the way 🙏
I am rooting for Skoda! The should improve physical dials, add "more premium feel", but otherwise a great upgrade over touch nonsense. I hope Skoda implement same dials in Octavia as well
Excellent review. Yes its looks are not that exciting, but if you want a decent people/children mover, then it’s very practical, reasonable value and it comes with some proper knobs and buttons. Diesel version seems most sensible.
I think the side view is a bit bland. I liked the previous one more -especially the rear quarter window and taillights. This applies for the Superb too...
Verdict Choose Skoda Kodiaq if: You prioritize performance, build quality, a spacious interior, and the option for AWD. It's a better choice for families who travel long distances or need some off-road capability. Choose Peugeot 5008 if: You value unique styling, efficient urban driving, and a futuristic interior design. It's more suited for city dwellers or those who want a stylish seven-seater SUV at a competitive price.
I've watched dozens, no hundreds of videos on 7 seaters and never seen an official review like this sit a couple of kids in the third row. NOBODY buys one of these to fit adults in there, it's a pointless test
Quality is 90% good in all departments but price is 150% high for its quality and performance even it’s not friendly with mileage over all looks improved better it could be 5seater rather 7seater
I've been in both myself and the Kodiaq feels much roomier inside, especially as the driver you feel sort of cocooned in the 5008, a feeling I like in a sporty roadster or even saloon car but it feels a bit odd in an SUV. Material quality is also much better in the Kodiaq if that's a deciding factor for you, 5008 is still a compelling choice too though if that driver's seat arrangement doesn't bother you.
Yeah it's turned out to be even more popular than the mk1 which in its own right had initial orders over 3 times what Skoda had anticipated and even though they adjusted for an expected increase in demand for the mk2, it once again completely shattered Skoda's expectations. I'm sure they'll get the delivery time down to 2-3 months by 9-12 months into production once the initial demand spike has been processed.
I’ve got one while my Q5 is in for a service errrrr not as comfortable cheap rattling plastic dash 😮 reminds me of the grandland X I had 😱 don’t tink I’ll get one sorry
Skoda should’ve taken a leaf out of Hyundai and seen how the Santa Fe was facelifted. This is such a minor change, they may as well have not bothered! In a day and age of wide sweeping dashboard, they chose to plonk a small screen in the middle! How quaint! Nothing exciting or luxurious here unfortunately. They’ve really missed a trick..
That car looks terrible alive… I live near Skoda plant in Czechia, I see them every day. The worst face lifting ever… that back reflective bar looks cheap, like it was mounted there in the last second.
Bring back the Skoda Estelle. Skoda getting away from their roots. This car is far too big for everyday use. It will spend most its time clogging up local roads causing the owner stress trying to find a parking space big enough.
Roughly 3 billion Chinese and Indian people are laughing at Europe’s environmental concerns! And since you have such concerns, don’t forget to pay huge amount of taxes for your own “green” transition!
Physical dials. No nonsense mature Exterior. Absolute Skoda 👏👏
I took delivery of one of these about 6 weeks ago. Absolutely fantastic - 100% recommend it.

Moaning about the ADULT leg space in the 3rd row. Buy a bus then.
Yep, third row is for kids

Beautiful & Classy Car. ❤️
Very Nice & Informative Review.
Cheers to the Team. 👍
I have one in white and love it, love the exterior and the interior design, very muscle car-esq
Exterior looks awful compared to the previous model but interior looks really nice and user friendly!
Agree 100%, on my second Kodiaq, but not getting this version. Really can't warm to new look, very bland.
I think the previous one was a bit more elegant
I saw one in the Skoda garage. I liked it.

At last a sane car with real buttons! Thank you Skoda!

Have to say ive a sportline and love the look but im not mad about the new one at all im thinking of changing to the sorento
Looks good so when my 2018 Karoq is due for replacement this Kodiaq is on the shortlist - Pure value for money excellence - Go Skoda...
Doug! Great review. Are you still playing squash? I've just today ordered a new SE L. Picking it up next week. Greetings from Wimbeldon. Paul
Skoda ❤ kushaq my car now. Next kodiyaq. 2025
I think it looks very smart indeed and with loads of space. Price isn't bad either.
Nice review. Love from India🎉
Hey! Do You know what problems they have at 1.5 motor? Tks!
No problems.
Much more preferred looks of old version , and what about RS version 😊😂😂.
But still think much better than VW Tiguan
What the vertical tow bar limit. Last one was 85kg which is pants.
Quality is 90% good in all departments but price is 150% high for its quality and performance even it’s not friendly with mileage over all looks improved better it could be 5seater rather 7seater
Love the new look. More 4x4 than suv. Shame about the space in the third row. My Dacia Jogger can take 7 adults.
I would still have the diesel.
I don't think this new model is much of a looker compared to the previous gen. And now enough of a difference to warrant upgrading in all honesty
Can you tell me... Which car is more big inside feeling... This one or new Peugeot 5008??? What you prefer???

It's a £50,000 Skoda. They've gone mad. It's going to be hugely discounted, but people still won't buy it because of the extra luxury car road tax.
What is bad is the long delivery queue...6 months?

why would it be a shame not to have a manual option? it's not a sports car
The previous generation was really nice looking. This one looks bland. Hope the Sportline trim will add some character.
In Australia the 5 year warranty comes as standard, rip of in this country.
Does this Kodiaq 2024 has ADAS ?
Keep the dials, keep it practical.
Does it ha e an AWD(4x4) option ?
Yes with 2.0 TDI 142kw diesel
@@fiumeebasta3612 Thanks
Yes and soon it will get 2.0 TsI 150kw 4x4 i think.
Děkuju
I like the look!👏🇸🇪🙏👍
The worst thing is the two spoke steering wheel
I’ve got one while my Q5 is in for a service errrrr not as comfortable cheap rattling plastic dash 😮 reminds me of the grandland X I had 😱 don’t tink I’ll get one sorry
Why do they that it has a punchy engine when it is just 1.5 liter?
No 7 seat with PHEV model ... Big problem....
That🎉🎉🎉🎉
Why do need Chinese like Station wagon when you already have Nice Superb wagon
Dacia dials.
Nice car from skoda
I do like a Skoda, but not SUVs. So it's a no from me.
@WhatCar? The colour grading on this video is awful. It would be nice to see the car in a 'true light'!
Santa fé and Sorrento are bigger and more expensive.
Skoda should’ve taken a leaf out of Hyundai and seen how the Santa Fe was facelifted.

193ps Diesel Tax per year............ £680 .
That car looks terrible alive… I live near Skoda plant in Czechia, I see them every day. The worst face lifting ever… that back reflective bar looks cheap, like it was mounted there in the last second.
I've seen one in the garage and it looked really nice. It isn't a face lift. It's a mk2
I have just ordered this terrible car in Phev Sport line.
@@Slimusaklucky you bruv
😂 I think you have to much time on your hands
I think you are too much terribly thinking bad about terrible looks of terrible skoda. 🤣
Dacia Jogger is a much better choice for only 22k
😂
Diesel? Really?!
That bolted on iPad is not impressive.
36k a bargain? 😂😂

Peugeot 5008 is pretty much a better car for me
Bring back the Skoda Estelle. Skoda getting away from their roots. This car is far too big for everyday use. It will spend most its time clogging up local roads causing the owner stress trying to find a parking space big enough.
This car has been in the showrooms for know this and yet you’re only just reviewing?
So not really a 6 seater then. Very limited room
Which car comes with 6 seats 😑
Compared to the interiors of the Peugeot and KIA, the Skoda looks cheap and nasty and boring (well it is a VW)
That is one ugly car.
It's 2024. Diesel is not a good choice for no one.
Wrong
Roughly 3 billion Chinese and Indian people are laughing at Europe’s environmental concerns! And since you have such concerns, don’t forget to pay huge amount of taxes for your own “green” transition!
Ahh Skoda, you're still a joke of a company.
Why?
What's your problem?
Nah dude, I drive lots of different cars and skodas are really nice. Octavia is one of my favorites for long trips
@@julianroberts5407 Age is his problem. He's probably too old still holding on to the old and dated preconceptions.
@@pauljiltsov9950I’m on my third Octavia estate and not had a single issue… current 5 year old is now doing 58 mpg
