I just ordered the SE L 7 seater in the 2L diesel. I've got to go sign the paperwork tmoro. I asked for whatever's quickest & as the lady was checking on their system I heard her mutter "oh no that's a 4x4" then continued to tell me about the one that isn't that I've ordered. They had me at 2wk wait time. I didn't ask but hope they're not trying to fob me off with an old shape one because nissan tried that when I got a Qashqai!
At last a review with RHD , now I can see what it feels like, if you know what I mean!! Giving this some serious thought as Tiguan just looks horrible and not the same amount of space. Nice review! all the facts with no pointless pics or videos. Not sure on that colour, but the overall choice seems very limited.
I believe the bug with temperature when using Google Auto/Apple Carplay is fixed with the latest software update. So Ive heard at least. Love the Kodiaq thou, but i cant decide if i am gonna go for the Kodiaq or the Superb next year. Or the Passat .......
Finally a fantastic real road review. Have ordered through the fleet company the 2L diesel option. Saying goodbye to my Peugeot 5008. No better place to review the Skoda on the ring of Kerry. Your next review should be done on the beara peninsula, next door in Cork. Just as beautiful.
You'll love the Kodiaq had one for some time now. The storage capacity is insane, think I've packed 3 adults, 1 kids luggage and golf clubs before. Lovely drive aswell very enjoyable for big vehicle
I recommend driving The Wild Atlantic Way if you ever get a chance, the roads and scencery are incredible. We were incrediablly lucky with the weather when we done it, managed to do the two week trip with zero rain.
Need to decide between the plug in of this, the Superb or Enyaq for next Company car. Fabulous part of the world, spent every summer holiday in Kerry as a kid (Caherciveen is Mum's home town). You need to get a bike over there Tim but blag an ADV type, not sure you'd have any fillings left on the MT10!!
Looking forward to your superb l&k 4x4 petrol review. Interested in nvh and ride quality. I’m not a fan of the two tone 18” but if the 19” spoil the ride then I guess i might stick with them. oh and any carplay issues. Thanks
If you are not 60 years old and don't have trouble entering the car and have back problems and have a lot of highway choose Superb. You will thank me later (€ for consumption, tyres, wheels, stability, stability in rain, flipping over if windy, wind noise in cabin, overall safety)...
Front looks fine, rear doesn't look good. Also, despite the extra space, I am not too keen ok the rear overhang. The refreshed (2023) Kodiaq looks better than this and still plenty practical.
I like Skoda at lot, so much so I own 3 of them. But their current design changes to the Superb and the Kodiaq looks terrible. Recently got access to motability too, and this is the only vehicle to have a 2,400kg+ towing capacity:/
Both, the new Kodiaq and also the Tiguan come with a surprinsingly bland design (at least in my eyes), it‘s really a step down from the previous models with their distinct looks. Remove the badges and those could easily come from one of the numerous Chniese brands without any identity on their own. Too bad…
I tried to like i honestly did but i cant?its ugly as F so i had to go and get the previous model!Hopefuly RS version would at least look cool cause i feel it will underperform in engine department!
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff hey Diva let me give you some insights: there are stupid people in this world who buy cars / stuff purely based on looks. Some people just buy cars because of some stupid lights, hence why I mentioned this. But I have a question for you : did you honestly not even bother to turn on the lights and go around the car? So get off your high horse and do better next time.
The thing you look at 99% of the time, the instrument cluster, looks terribly cheap and bad, I have the previous Kodiaq and it looks miles better, I cannot like this car because of it, hard pass, wanted to get it to replace the previous one, I guess it's time to look elsewhere.

I like the cabin look of the previous gen kodiaq

My baby, having the 2020 Edition model for four years and now it's the time to get 2024. Love it amazing family and stylish suv.

Looks lovely over there! I just looked up car ferry prices 😮
I do like it, but I’d always be wishing I was in a Superb 🧐

I can't imagine Ireland being quite the same without rain!
I always comment about knobs or lack thereof. This units seems to have a few knobs. Excellent review.
I agree, unlike BMWs, there aren't as many knobs in Skodas
Sensible enough, but id pick the suburb
What a fun looking road, think you need to go along there again on the MT10

Great review. What is the boot space in the 5 seat hybrid?

If you had a choice between a phev kodiaq sel or a fully specced enyaq 85 edition only thing missing is a heat pump?
New Kodiaq is looking great. What's your color choise ? I didn't decide Graphite Grey or Bronx Gold. I guess, both of them are methallic colors
I use the back seats for children and they are great, but I really don’t understand why there are no isofix on seats meant for children
I agree - not many 7 seaters get Isofix back there. The Kia Sorento does though
Looking forward to this one
Ah nice one mate, I did look out for you 😂
Good to see you got at least some blue sky when you did the ring of Kerry unlike me earlier!
The blue sky you see in this video is literally all the blue sky I had when I was there! It was rain 90% of the time… but still epic
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff Yes I will say the rain and wind made the scenery more dramatic!
Least there is some blue sky in Killarney for me now though
have you drove the 2.0 TDI 148hp? how nimble is it when overtaking on the highway?
Great review. Thinking of getting either this or the new Superb Estate. Wondering what other people would pick...
I'd find it tricky to choose, but I'd probably go Superb. I'm just an estate sort of person...

Expecting-Strong Hybrid with paddle shift, battery charging port( like electric vehicles)
Love it ..and the country is mine !
Hi Tim fantastically useful review - I am 195 CM or 6 foot 5 inches - will the car suit me?
I want to go to Ireland now
It was ridiculous. Rainy, but amazing.
How was the optional Canton sound system? I'm speccing a SE L and wonder if its worth the extra £££
I didn't get to try it - it wasn't in any of the cars I drove. Sorry.
So, eh, what's that Onlyfans handle again? - Asking for a friend! Good to see you in Ireland Tim! Don't be a stranger!

The best SUV is ofc electric 😊

Not an attractive car no matter from what angle you look at it, especially from the rear.
Dude, if you review something do not provide Inacurate info. The "light bar" in the back is no light bar. Just red plastic. Do your homework
OMG that must undermine my entire review. Where can I send my penance? Btw it's spelled 'homework'
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff thanks . I edited and corrected. Now do the same to your video.

To be fair, you should be looking out the windscreen 99%of the time
Very subjective as I prefer the look of this one and wouldn’t consider the older model. Everyone is different I guess.
@@Robwatson1978a very good point 😂
You are supposed to look through the windscreen most of the time
