I finally got the review of the exact same laptop that I also have. I upgraded RAM to 64 GB just yesterday. I got mine for 1400 Euro including 64 GB RAM. I bought it last week. Battery is a bit disappointing. Apart from that everything is top-notch. Btw I moved from Mac M1 2020 bought in 2022 to ASUS.
Thanks for sharing your experience and It’s great to hear you're enjoying the performance. I totally agree with your point about the battery. Just to note, this device I reviewed has a maximum 32GB RAM supported.
@@HashanDeZoysa Yeah 7845 processor supports 64 GB RAM. But I already see that the RAM does not exceed more than 20 GB no matter what application I run.
I didn't test it specifically, The Asus product page says its just a 150 nits in standard. But they claim the latest A16 has 400 nits. Not sure about that.
I want to upgrade my ram., my laptop is same that was shown. Asus said it max 32gb but crucial said 48gb but reddit user said they upgraded their laptop up to 64gb ram. What are the pros and cons.
Hi, ASUS' official website specifies that the maximum supported RAM is 32GB on this device. In my opinion, I do not recommend upgrading to 64GB RAM on this device. One reason is, that you will not get actual 64GB performance due to hardware limitations. Most Likely the laptop will only recognize and use 32GB. It might be a waste of money, so consider it before upgrading 64GB.
Yes, It's kind of confusing. As far as I understand, there are four variants of TUF A16 in 2024. 1. FA607PI (RTX 4070) 2. FA607PV (RTX 4060 WQXGA) 3. FA607PV (RTX 4060 WUXGA) 4. FA608 - NEW (AI 9 HX 370) In this video, I reviewed the FA607PV (RTX 4060 WUXGA) variant.
Hi, 1. Make sure you have installed Nvidia drivers including the Geforce Experience app. 2. Select GPU mode as "Ultimate" in the Asus Armory Crate app. This will make your device use the RTX GPU for all tasks. (Please note that Ultimate will rapidly reduce device battery life)
@@HashanDeZoysa oh that was it, I had the GPU-mode on ECO so my battery lives longer, when choosing normal mode it shows the RTX4060, interesting to see that it disables the GPU! Do you have any other tips to make the battery last longer?
yeah, apart from activating Eco-mode, 1. You can select the "Silent" profile in Armory Crate. 2. Turn off AI noise cancellation in Armory Crate. 3. Reduce the refresh rate to 60Hz in the Nvidia control panel app. 4. Turn off Asus Live wallpapers. however it will be really difficulty get good battery life from these gaming laptops. I usually always plug into power and only use for gaming.
@@HashanDeZoysa alright, thanks a lot! I’m planning on buying a portable battery to take the laptop to school and stuff so hopefully it Will be alright, pretty weird that the school recommends this type of laptop
Yeah, that might help you. Asus is a good brand and it is durable. Hope you have a good time with the device. Also thank you for sharing your thoughts.

@@wrightvcx2249 I see, it seems single ram slot can handle maximum 16GB in this device, that's how it make 32GB all together I assume.
Thanks for a nice review!
Glad you like it 😊
Have you measured the brightness of the screen? Is it at least 300 nits?
