  • In this video, I'll be showing you how to change the O2 Sensor and Battery in your Analox O2EII Pro. Full written instructions of how to do this (taken from Analox) are detailed below and available here: www.analoxgrou...
The O2EII Pro is a small, lightweight and rugged oxygen (O2) analyzer. Designed to check the quality of your scuba diving gas mix, the O2EII Pro can be used directly at the tank or through a BCD adaptor while in harness (BDC adaptor is not included).
This highly accurate analyzer comes with a three-year graded sensor warranty and an expected sensor life of four to five years in air.
    1. Remove the contents and take the sensor out of the packaging and carefully cut open the antistatic bag to obtain the sensor. Allow the sensor to settle for 24hr prior to use.
    2. Loosen the 4 screws located on the front cover. The gasket seal is designed to prevent water from leaking into the O2 EII Pro as a result the seal may be tight. Loosen the seal by moving the lid from side to side, and then and carefully lift the cover.
    3. Screw the sensor to the inside of the front cover tightly.
    4. Connect the JST cable connector to the JST header on the PCB of the O2 Sensor.
    5. Replace the cover carefully taking care that the sensor locates properly and that you
do not trap any wires. Screw down until you feel the gasket tighten; do not over tighten the screws.
Your Oxygen Analyser is now ready to take a reading.
CAUTION: IF AFTER HANDLING THE SENSOR YOUR FINGERS OR OTHER PARTS OF YOUR BODY FEEL SLIPPERY OR STINGS WASH WITH A LOT OF WATER. IF STINGING PERSISTS GET MEDICAL ATTENTION!

I have this unit and just realizes Analox discontinued the O2EII Pro. Still a good analyzer.

Great video and good to see they retained the original dome and hole adapter capability on the PRO. I can walk straight up to a tank and analyze it without having to install my regulator to access my drysuit hose. 👍 Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

I’d start by changing the battery and o2 cell and hopefully it’ll be like a new one

Does the lifespan of the O2 sensor depend on how often it's used

Hi Ira, I'm Ryan, I work at Analox Group.
The lifespan of the O2 cell will be the same regardless of whether or not it is used.
The way it works is that an electrolyte inside the sensor itself reacts with oxygen in the air.
It will still be reacting with oxygen over time whether it is in use or not.
      I hope this helps!
Let me know if you have any further questions.

@@ryanleopard2795 Does this still get affected if (a) the O2EII us stored in an airtight container (once the O2 in the container is gone surely there is no more reaction from the sensor) and (b) for the "green coloured" model there is a white "sensor saver" which can be used to replace the dome - as above, there is inly a limited amount of O2 to sense?
