Need better cameramen! . I fell from the top of fence to the ground and landed on my back - that would have gone viral BUT guess what, no camera was filming me!! Any one would think its all about the animals we save.Thank you all for watching our mad antics or in my case - antiques!
There are similarities between u and this video. U are trapped with essay ,dead line , school work same like that deer and waiting for somebody to help u like this guy.
The deer seems to have been afraid of the blaze of that thin aluminium piece, even to me that is a bit intimidating. It gives enough reflection to scare the animals, so it needs the rescuer's careful use of that. That could look like a guillotine to those animals.
Maria Uribe u are not alone. 😃😃. In my class most of the people want to be doctors n footballers but I'm the only one person who want to be an animals rescuer in my class. There are 43 students in my class. ☺☺
You don't have to wait until you're grown. Try finding ways you can help now. You should leave the actual rescuing to people who already know what to do to avoid injury to themselves and the animal. But they had to start at the bottom too. Try calling local animal rescues of different type to find out how you can help. It could be helping to feed and clean up after the animals. Especially cleaning the cages. Although probably after the animal is removed. Or you could help raise funds by having a yard sale with donated items or a lemonade stand. Getting donated blankets, towels, and similar items. Then washing them before donating them would help. These are just a few ideas. You can also research animal behavior and what is needed to care for them. Including watching these videos. good luck.
BlueUncia same I would probably just try to push the deer out but then i dont think i’d be able to do that either cause it might hit me with it’s antlers
+BlueUncia A while ago, I joined a crew that was making a kids movie. In the scéne, two 'criminals' had escaped and were hiding in the basement. We walked through the basement and then had to climb up, on a bridge. About 3 meters high. Both guys (cameraman and actor) said; 'Oh you'll be fine, just run and grab our hand, we'll pull you up." But I jumped and both grabbed my arm and they nearly pulled my arms off. I just hung there, kicking, trying not to fall, couldn't climb, and couldn't get down (because I had jumped, so I was hanging above the ground.) We seriously tried this about 4 times, untill I decided to crawl up against the wall and push myself underneath the steel bars. It was quite awful, all and all. Not only was it very painful (my arms hurt for days) but it was extremely humiliating to see two men (holding a camera, gear and other heavy items) just run and jump with nó effort, whereas I just hung there and made about the same noises as that deer.
You know I really admire the rescuers and they are doing a great job but I also want to congratulate the public for all they do to help these poor creatures. It is so kind of you to do this. Thank you!
Same how a human structure as simple as a fence is able to reduce an animals likelihood of survival so easily. Even the most menial of things we create have an impact.
Well - he has no dignity left, but he has a good chance at life thanks to you guys! Thank you! What's the name of the capture-something syndrome you fear if you had brought him in, Wildlife Aid?
Ingeborg Anne Rakvåg Capture Myopathy is a condition observed in wild animals that have been captured or handled. The condition is usually lethal and stress has been identified as the single most determining factor, exacerbated by muscle exertion.
catch myopathy basically means the animal will die because of the fear from being handled by humans and from being removed from its natural habitat and taken someplace with all kinds of frightening objects, noises, smells--you name it, the animal is terrified, and wills itself to death.
Wildlife Aid So cool, especially that they are sharing some really wonderful animal stories. I think these stories are very powerful, as the compassion and desire to make better is so evident! Great role modeling! Love it!

Maybe carrying some antibiotic spray or something to put on the wounds of injured animals, in cases like this one, would be a good idea. That way, the wounds are protected from flies and other dirt, giving the deer...or other a animals, a bit more of a chance at healing. Just a thought. I don't know how well it would work but I see the wildlife vets, in videos on saving African wildlife here on yt, always put some kind of mud or something on animals they save. Love you guys and all you do for wildlife in need. Thank you.
Ayano Hattori I never said to use human antibiotics. There are antibiotic and other medications made specifically for animals too and if someone was in the business of saving wildlife, that is what they would carry with them......although some human meds are also used on animals.
You guys realise that there is no species antibiotics right? Animal and human antibiotics are exactly the same. Besides one off spray wouldn't do anything as generally a course of antibiotics is much more effective. But maybe antiseptic solution could come in handy is cases like these
I don't know how old you are but I can see you reaching a hundred or more if you keep this lark up. You're never going to give up fighting for animals and you're as fit now by the look of you as a thirty year old. Keep it up.
SIMON!!!! What are you complaining about? So Old...Pfft and you go over the fate nimbly. Oh so you fell on your butt...you still did it glwell. If you were old you would have broken a hip or something. As always great job and a beautiful rescue.

Simon, You guys do such great work the reason his antlers were bleeding is because he is in velvet, he shouldn't have been lifted buy his developing antlers hopefully they will harden normally hope for the best with that guy
Bravo Simon and team!! That was hard. I was holding my breath when you scaled that spikey fence. I did that once and almost impaled myself. You mean that the deer could die of shock if you took him back to rescue center? Isn't there any way to prevent that with sedation? Poor thing looked so terrible.
this was so fucking dangerous (i make a conscious effort not to swear in these channels but). This had more suspense than recent suspense movie thrillers, only because I've seen so many impaling accidents due to such fences.

Naishadh shroff. xD you're totally right !
that woman is lovely. and the guy was lovely. and the kid was lovely too. and simon was clumsy... but lovely
Lovely lovely lovely
Was??
Are they all alive?
Muhamed Nibin of course. The English language is very flexible. “Was lovely” can mean both at that time and in his or her lifetime.
So everyone is so lovely
The deer seems to have been afraid of the blaze of that thin aluminium piece, even to me that is a bit intimidating. It gives enough reflection to scare the animals, so it needs the rescuer's careful use of that. That could look like a guillotine to those animals.
What I learned watching these
1) British fences are scary
2) British people hop said fences with no fear
3) British deer are tiny
We have big deer such as fallow deer and red deer. Although they aren’t as common as the smaller roe and muntjac deer.
Myrcella RykkerMuntjac deers are very small deer in the UK ,originating from China - don’t think
this was one though. Red deer are huge !
we get use to climbing those fences as children they are everwhere i got a spike in the leg collecting a football
@@catsdofunnythings4046 😨 good grief! Your a brave one. Those fences look like death smiling sweetly, whispering 'come on over'
We have six different species of deer in the UK

Get a grip. I did it as a kid. Never got spiked.
@@susiearviso3032 I think a kid and a 65 year old is a little different, so some needs to get a grip!

Magnificent! 👏👏👏 Simon and all the the other wildlife rescuers deserve real Awards/knighthoods! ❤️ this touches my heart ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow.... mein Absoluten Respekt den Rettern gegenüber... 👍👍👍
Wow, that was the hardest rescue I've seen you do. I can't believe you carried him over that spiky fence! I hope he healed up.
Those two that helped Simon should really be helpers.. They were a great help I could see :)
Still got it then Simon. We are probably the same age,but don't think i could manage that climb.
Well done to you & all your great team.
I'm 70. I'm sure I could do it. I'm not particularly athletic, but God has blessed me with agility, even at my age.
I don't think I would have had the guts to climb that fence, to be honest. I'd be too scared I'd fall and impale myself!
