great vid! I originally thought since my bathroom light fixture/wires were higher up that I would've needed to lower all of the wires towards the center for these mirrors but its great knowing these mirrors have such a long electrical wire.
Great info/video, thanks. I am glad I can cut wire plug and hardwire it to my circular junction box. I didn't feel like replacing circular junction box for a rectangular to add an outlet. Too much work cutting and patching drywall.
Absolutely. You would just need to either install an outlet tied into the light or direct wire in existing box. Be sure to consult an electrician for expert advice.
In your opinion, does the light output of the mirror compare with the original vanity light? I want to do this in our bathroom but I was thinking I might need to add some can lights for additional light.
Howdy partner! The light output is very good, but not quite as bright as a double or triple vanity light. We have another video installing a lighted vent fan cover. We added that after the mirror and now the bathroom is brighter than with the vanity light. Good luck!
About the wires. You said black to black and white to white. Is it not grounded by a third. wire for grounding. I have the same in my bathroom a wall outlet for shaving 220V (europe) not grounded Electricity and water is always dangerous. I want to buy a mirror led and ir heating but i dont want to take the risk not grounding it . Take care thanks for the video!
See if you can get GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) outlet for 220 volts, they don't need ground. Most old houses in USA don't have ground wire neither.
That's the way it should be done running the wire inside the wall. Put in an old work box and also a recessed box and use the plug. Pull wire from the vanity light and you can use them both and it'll meet code. A bit sketchy running the wire up the wall like this video.

Yes, partner! Not too difficult and completely reversible down the road. Good luck!

Omg thank u for this video I need this my bathroom set up the same way this helps a lot
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing video very helpful! Where did you get that tooth brush holder though?😂
Can you keep vanity light and the mirror ??
Absolutely. You would just need to either install an outlet tied into the light or direct wire in existing box. Be sure to consult an electrician for expert advice.
Neat project, thanks for sharing.
Thanks, partner!!

It's so bright, he needs sunglasses! 😬
Not even close. I just tried one, and sent it right back.
What brand is that mirror?
Howdy partner! It is a Hauschen brand - there is a link in the video description if you’d like to check it out. So far so good in terms of quality.
Although doing just the lighted mirror may not light the entire bathroom as a 3-light vanity, does it give enough for shaving?
Yes, partner! Absolutely. It is bright, just not super bright.

can the vanity light and the Frontlit light connect together?
Howdy, partner! Never seen it done that way, but I don’t see why not. Good luck!

He didn't run wires inside wall. He hardwire them inside a circular junction box, just like any light fixture is connected.
Sun never sets on a Badass
Are these lights bright enough to light up the restroom on their own?
They are bright enough, but not quite as bright as a normal vanity light. We coupled the mirror light with a lighted vent fan and its good now.
Why not drill a hole in the center of the junction box cover instead of notching it?
Howdy, partner! That would certainly work as well - good idea!
Well this for ppl that don’t wanna do all that work duh or maybe renting different things works for different ppl
@@gingerz2202 huh?
What kind of safety glasses are you using..?😂
Cool shades and safety first!
