@@jyrrin Well, close... Daryl Ong (owner of the One Sweet Day video) made an English version of K-Pop artist Crush's "Beautiful Life" (orig soundtrack of Goblin) and was signed by KPop producer Shin In Soo to revive 2 of his classic songs in English when he saw Daryl's video.

hmmm but we do know they did several takes and did punch and record bit by bit hehe. It's an MV, I don't see why you think it's pretending to be one take. Did I miss them declaring it was one take?... Even Daryl and Morissette's was done in several takes, and they say it themselves. Don't a lot of MVs have similar concepts? We Are The World comes to my mind. He was probably cheering because they did sing it while recording for the video that you see. The already recorded audio was of course put into another layer with the video. You can hear them doing stuff live live if you search BuDhaKhel. You'll even here the mic feedback since they're basically home videos.

But you can't take that the voice was so good. The harmony, the riff and runs was on point even the adlib.

How could you say that, when he doesn't even know studio performances are not done in 'one take'?! It's mind boggling how he does't know these kind of recordings (NOT LIVE) has several takes!! And he is a professional guitarist?!
considering Katrina is so tiny the camera angles I am sure had to be tweaked to get her face in the video as much as her voice- I noticed on some angles you can't even see her but hear her --lol-- I love her so much cause she gets me in the feels--fyi -Katrina's sister lost a battle with cancer not too long before this was recorded

That's why its called post produced. There are behind the scenes from Katrina and Michael's channel to explain the layering and multiple shots. There was a live version of this cover and they have each cover in Wish Bus 107.5 recorded in just 1 take. Good reaction though

It was only two takes, as far as i know. Check Kat's pre-recorded vlog on this.
@@alphaomega6365 I've already watched that when this video came out. If it wasn't multiple takes, the camera angles suggest to me that it was taken in cuts. If not, the camera from one angle would have been seen from another vantage point. But whatever the recording that was done here, I don't think that the video recording was done straight. And again, I don't see anything wrong with that.

From what I read, they created a backing track and then sang over the top of it in 1 take. I could be wrong.

You have to watch their live performances of this song. One is during the 1st major concert of Katrina last Feb 1. This one is a polished studio version. But their voices are definitely undeniable. You should react more to Katrina Velarde and Daryl Ong. My personal favs.☺

They weren't hiding the fact it was done in multiple takes. Also another vocal teacher commented that it was impossible for Katrina Velarde to hit some of the notes with how her mouth was shaped. This was a music video first and foremost.
Maybe the jumpsuit guy acted like that because it was "finally, we finished after several takes", think about that for a moment. :)

There's a behind the scenes for this. It isn't one take, for production quality purposes (cam angles / layering). But they have performed this live (there are numerous sources online), and it's just as good. I suggest you view that too, you'll appreciate how crazy good these talents are.

It's actually recorded. You can react to Katrina's vlog during the recording. The idea of the video is as if they are singing it the first time. That's why they seen very Happ at the last shot.
