Are those the large 63mm swamp king or the smaller 57mm tire? The inserts are for 62mm or bigger. Just checking.. you didn’t specifically say, and hard to tell with the Ascent18. Thx.
Thanks for the review and info. Could have used this sooner. Bought a set of each. I used the yellow set in some very soft and sticky 64mm pin style wheels. My Trantula build is pretty heavy. Really helped. Especially side roll. But, now I have a set of green I'll probably never use. Lol.
I run the yellows in a set of DJCrawler Mud Studs (68mm) and they perform pretty good. I've also seen people remove the first layer running them in smaller size tires.
I think 68 70 mm would allow for some space between the tire and insert which would prob work better. Def not trying to waste time modifying them when i can just use two stage foams
Could the tires play a role? I have the yellow inserts in my trx4m with injora king trekker tires and they conform beautifully. I do have a bit of brass on it
I think it's really all a combo of tire casing and set up/rig weight. I had these in a few tires on a few rigs and the same set up didn't work between any of them.
Thank you i was thinking about trying them but you just made my mind up,they did work on my 1/10 trucks. But the weight is the difference, I like the two stage foam also on the smaller rigs
Tip for all of you. You can trim the outer cell to to fit smaller sized tires. I’ve got some some cut down a cell to fit a 58. You can also cut out some ribs to get it to conform more without losing the sidewall strength. Heavy trucks run super soft yellow up front and green in the back.
@@JUSTHAVEFUNRCthis is true, nothings perfect. Pro of inserts less maintenance, less sidewall roll, and tuneability. Cons they're stiff out of box, and you need to work on them to get to perform the way you want them to, or even to fit tires. its the opposite for foams. again nothings perfect, but thats the beauty of America we have options to go for!
Thanks for the video. Lots of excitement about these lately but now I don’t have to waste my money on them. My 1/10 scale trucks maybe. I think Injora seen people printing their own and wanted to cash in on it themselves, who knows
Great info to have. I had thought about getting some of those for my 4m Bronco, but they really don't conform to the rocks very well. Gonna stick with the foam inserts, I guess.
Its a shame they didn't work for you, i found them to conform very well

They are 64 lgrp not injora
Injora says 62-64. I tried putting a set of yellows in 62's. Couldn't keep the bead in the rim while assembling. Gave up.

Sorry, im in the same boat though. Maybe i will hack them or use them on some 70 mil tires. Thanks for checking out the video

Def agree there. Not enough gains for the price. Thanks for checking out the video

Sounds like way more work than just running two stage foams. Lot more money as well
@@obrothersrc that is true. But it also opens up lower maintenance water and mud running.

Maybe they are better for 1/10. def sticking w 2 stage foams. Thanks for checking out the video.
Make sure the tires are vented. The silicone seals over the holes in the beadlock ring

Im not a fan, def think two stage foams are the way to go. Thanks for checking out the video
👍
I've tried several different tires on the ascent 18 and tusks far outperformed the others I've tried
Nice! Thanks for the tip.
Well that's a bummer I just received mine in the mail yesterday
You can hack on the yellow and make them work. Or put them in big tires like 70 mil. The green are useless
You need to cut the outer ring off
Why would i do work on them hoping they will be better when i can just use two stage foams
