    • @Kenprints
      @Kenprints  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Should be a straighforward swap the calibration is only due to the fact the individual parts of the gimbal were from different sources and needed to all be synced together as such - but if you had a complete mavic 2 pro gimbal assembly it would be as simple as opening a few screws and removing 1 or 2 flex cables and installing the new one

    • @Kenprints
      @Kenprints  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tony Kelly and you have tried reseating all ribbons , theres the one to the main body of the drone 3 on the gimbal control board also if you have and still no success then u may have a faulty control board radiocontrolshop in dublin probably have one they might be able to swap it for you or sell you the board and you could swap it yourself and then calibrate using the method above

    • @tonyk998
      @tonyk998 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya man so iv taken it apart and the connector on the back of the camera is attached correctly also on the top of the gimbal going into the board that one is correct and then the flat ribbon is new and also correctly attached so you think it just maybe the board on the top of the gimbal so just really replace that and then connect all connectors and should be good?

    • @Kenprints
      @Kenprints  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tony Kelly hard to know but the fact you have picture thru the camera makes me think its either a cable issue or possibly the board although id be more inclined to think its the cables - the little ribbon cable under the board controls the yaw motor the long connector on top of the board controls camera and roll motors so if all those are connected correctly and it has power its either a pinched cable or the board is damaged

If the gimbal start correctly as soon is the drone leave the ground or i make a turn the gimbal goes crazy. I send it back to DJI but they said there was water damaged and won't take the warranty. So now my only option is to see what song by my self. I tried to correct by the app with the automatic gimbal recenter but it's stop loading at 20 %. I tried changing the cabel connecting the phone to the remote, sometimes that the issue but it didn't work. I reassembled the wire to the gimbal and give it a brush also not working. I noticed that the wire that connect the gimbal to the drone is in two separate pieces maybe that the problem I can see the connection between the tow. Please help me I love my drone and want to keep it. I can still do hyperplas and a the end of the shooting. Since there was no abrupt movement the camera return to norma. Ok guys so a wee update on this I managed to find a link to a video that showed how to edit this using python script for the DJI spark, now you have to modify the text slightly to get it to work with the mavic 2 pro but I used it earlier today and it worked a charm the gimbal is now perfectly calibrated again see link below

      @SUAS Media
      Hi, great video. I had one incident. I will be sk thankfull if someone can help me.
      Now I will tell you my story: I have Mavic 2 Zoom and recently I crashed it on the concrete. So the drone stuck to the power wire and camera snaped and the drone fell down on concrete. The impact was on the front of the drone(front left arm and then the front left vision sensor and then front right arm) Rear and upper part of the drone did not get any damage.
      Front left motor stopped working and the arm broke, while right motor is ok but the arm is bent. Front left vision sensor does not work but right is working work. And now the worst damage...
      The gimbal arm snapped off where it connects with gimbal dampener mount where those three screws screw. That transmission (long wide camera) cable that you connect directly to sensor of the camera has snaped and also that yaw axis motor conector that connects underneath camera gimbal transmission (long and wide) connector also snapped. So I think I need to replace the same gimbal arm as you did but I also need to buy that long conector (transmission cable) which has one wide plug od top and one wide plug on the bottom and one wide plug in the middle. •Do you know what I mean?
      But there is no way to test the camera sensor, from the outside it looks it is ok but I do not know is it ok inside and does it works.
      ●Do you think that something could broke inside of the camera sensor from crash impact?
      ●Can I buy Yaw and Roll arm for Mavic 2 anywhere but I need to calibrate it or it has to be original arm?
      ●And what are the setting for Mavic 2 Zoom to calibrate Yaw and Roll arm?
      I made a list of what I think I need to replace...
      1. Front Left Arm with Motor
      2. Front Right Arm with Motor
      3. Both Forward Vision Sensors
      4. Gimbale Transmission Flex Cable (that long wide cable)
      5. Yaw and roll arm motor
      6. Gimbal Dampener Mount
      7. And Plastic Shell for Aesthetic

    After just watching a breakdown where the narrator explains every move he makes, and why he makes it, this video needs a couple things to improve the content. More light as somebody else mentioned, and more comments on what you’re doing, example of when a piece or two “flew off” and you made no mention of what it was that flew off. I don’t mean to be dismissive or critical, just making suggestions as how to make a good video “better.”

      @@Kenprints I should have also said that your job of taking apart the gimbal and camera was really a complicated undertaking, made me jittery just to watch. Overall..it was very complex and well done. I have taken my Mavic Two Pro apart "twice" now to make repairs....replacing the left front arm after a crash, having to buy a detailed soldering tool and the arm...I felt like a macdaddie after doing that repair. Make your corrections and keep your videos going, you'll help a lot of UAV pilots.
