I bought the ws dash. I don't understand the comparison with the jade pro. The ws dash are so much louder than the jade pro. They are less wobbly than the jade. But the loud clacking is too unpleasant for me.
I wish I could find more optical switch choices...there are finally a few others out there, but I think I'm going to be stuck having to do a spring swap on my Gateron Blacks to get something a little heavier since I doubt anyone is going to make what I would like. It's also good to see more magnetic switch options, especially ones that sound that much better.
@@Tyreinn Not sure if it will or not, but for my Optical switches they're about the same, so it would work for what I want. I've seen it done, just haven't done it myself yet.
In my opinion, Geon Raw HE or Gateron Jade Pro are the best options for the wooting. I've been rocking the lekkers until I heard how good these sound. I went with the raws
The problem with 3.5mm switches on Spacebar happens when you have TX stabs (non long pole). I know because thats what happened to me. I just tunned the stabs with some strap on pcb and giving some hot air to the spacebar keycap and install at the moment. Perfectly happy with my Wooting Module with handlubed Jades and TX stabs. I dont know why people dont lube this amazing switch. Ok its fine stock but lubed is a step up.
@@YoChrisWTF. As I know, stock stabs doesnt have problems with 3.5mm switches but I have it with TX stabs, but in worst case you can use Lekker switch just on space bar or just tune a little bit spacebar stab.
I was wondering how come many manufactures of HE keyboards specify they are compatible with their/xxx switches only, like even Keychron Q1 HE states "*The Q1 HE is compatible with the magnetic switches sold on the Keychron website only.". Why is that so? Does that stay true to Boog75 as well? Another question that came to my mind - Are all HE keyboards (makers) with their magnetic switches have the feature of secondary activation (ex. press W to walk, press harder to Sprint) or it depends on if the switch has such support and respectively the software supplied by the keyboard maker? Thanks for the video.
At the moment, there are two types of HE switches. The ones I presented today are compatible with the Wooting, but may not be compatible with other HE keyboards. Secondary activation depends on the keyboard software.
No issue with the WS Dash switches on my wooting with a real wood spacebar. Though I did swap the spring in this specific switch with a lekker60 I had due to the weight of the wood keycap.
Also when the email arrives you have to hold down the tracking number and a option to track package popped up and it told me when to expect so dont use the big ol track package use the number
Alright, I've got a few questions - Is the anti-dust stem a superior stem in every case? If so then can I just used the bottom housing of the Dash/Gaterons and use the anti-dust stem and Light Diffusing Top Housing of the Rice's to create the perfect switch? And maybe the magnet of the GEON RAPTORS which registers much more RAW data than the gaterons.
Hi a question i just ordered the ws dash he, but i am wondering if i can hand lube them already even tho they have been factory lubed. Am i allowed to lube 205g0 on top of it or do i need to wipe it off with q tips
one thing I would be interested to see is, what kind of stuff you guys would recomend in terms of short travel distances. These are rather long with 4 mm and 3.4 mm, but there are shorters ones for sure, right?
@@Baconator119 a lot ofpeople running wootings do it for playing competitive fps games, we don't care about a lot of the analog actuation features, just actuation distance and rapid trigger. I have the gateron jades, but I'd kill for even shorter travel honestly
@@liamobrien9451 I don't get it. Whether you have a shorter travel or not does not change the speed at which commands are input to the game. If its some kind of mental block you are talking about, then probably its best to just train yourself. Alternatively, there are definitely some DIY mods you can do yourself, such as measuring and adding hard Spacers to the bottom of the Gateron Jade housings which prevent it from reaching the Full 3.5mm Bottom Out. This wouldn't be too difficult to accomplish.
@@Baconator119 it's a comfort thing, yeah with long travel switches I'll be as fast, but for keys that I do bottom out, I'd rather they bottom out quicker, and once again, I really don't need the whole travel
Damn they both sound so much better than the lekkers... to think a switch can make that big of a difference.... kind want them now. You guys ship to europe (netherlands)? cant find the sticky rice anywhere else.
Love the sound of these! Can anyone please tell me if the (now discontinued) 30g lekker springs that wooting used to sell will work with these switches? I've been using them for a year now and dont want to get used to heavier switches.
actually, i rather have my lekker45 all of them sound too clacky for my taste currently the lekker45 sound the best, but i would love to have the sound deeper
I'll never understand why people are so obsessed with how the keys sound... So hard to search anything about keyboards when 99% of the results are about the sound of the keys.
Because that is what most people in the keyboard circle care about? Okay if you don't care about sound, what do you care most about? Mech keyboards can be very loud, at least I'd want a pleasant sounding one lol, imagine writing an essay and its just constantly annoying sharp clacks.
Because sound is everything. Sound is not just sound. Sound is a way of life. Me personally for example I like cars. But I care the way they sound too. I like keyboards. I care the way they sound too. I'm a musician too so I guess that has some influence over it too.
They all sound too clacky for me. Wondering what keycap and switch I’d need to get a muted creamy type sound.
Not really possible. Maybe add mass loaded vinyl (what I did) at the bottom of the case
totally possible. Get the L45’s and overlube them. Totally happen to me. :/
They both probably sound different in person
I just overlub my lekker on wooting and it is like you want it
I would kill for a silent switch version.
The new Lekker v2 is like a night and day difference from the v1
I bought them as well and agree the keyboard feels so premium with them. Sounds even better than these that were reviewed imo.
