    The fit and finish like you said is the best that I've seen. The camera doesn't do it justice. Some reviews say it always starts out on low. But I received mine today and it does have memory. It remembers the last setting if left on for 10 seconds.

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Patrick, yeah mine remembers the last mode too as long as you wait 3 seconds. Would rather it start on low always or have 1 second memory. Overall great quality light.

      I dropped my Tool aa for the last time last month so been needing a new aa light. I actually got it for the $20 us from Amazon now they are up a little to $29. Again quality is the best I've seen before. I may have to get the regular one to have that higher CRI

      @@patrickKCMO Love my tool. Looking for new AA, how this compared to the tool? Not sure i like 5 lm, 330lm to 1000lm. would like some inbetweens like 130lm and 650lm or so without waiting for drop down from 1k lm

    I'll stick with my old Acebeam Rider RX in the silver finish. It will tail stand, you can flick it around and "fidget" with it, and my friends always comment that it looks like a "mini lightsaber"! Only around 650 lumens but the build quality is superb.

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Judy, Acebeam's quality is very noticeable, even in their smaller lights!

      @@DarrenYeoYT Hey Darren. Yeah, I'm a big fan of Acebeam's construction and longevity. I've had an L18 with the ARPS-R02 attached to one of my hunting rifles for about 2-3 years. Both rifle and torch have seen heaps of abuse and keep on going strong. EDC around town, Sofirn/Wurkkos/Wuben etc are more than acceptable, (and they cost less!), but Acebeam's build quality are absolutely second to none. Nitecore are around the same $$ as Acebeam, but I've had very mixed results with them rifle/shotgun mounted. If you've got the dollars then I recommend Acebeam lights for sure.

      The Rider is better. Has better brighter moonlight mode and a low mode whereas the Pokelit has a useless crap moonlight mode and NO LOW MODE WHATSOEVER! I have both. The switch on the Rider is also better quality, I get flicker with my Pokelit switch. I notice also that the Rider has a slightly smaller hot spot but better flood. The Pokelit is nice for the med and high modes as the 219F emitter is the same nice neutral white high CRI on both of my models.

    I just got mine. The build quality is very nice. I just wish it had another brightness level in between. Its too low then too bright . also i was not expecting a beam so wide

      My main gripe is the memory mode takes too long to activate.

    Very nice. It holds 60% after the first drop. Very floody beam. How does it compare to the wurkkos ts10?

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TS10 is much brighter. But ramps down quickly.. once ramped down, they both produce a similar amount of light.

    Not sure if that is the best EDC light (but then which one is it?) but it sure as hell is one of the hottest contenders, I love mine.

      It's the only light of this size that produces this interesting beam profile :D I change my favourites often but definitely have a top 10

    I’m a Lumintop guy😅 but I’ve been eyeballing this bad boy… I have a three Tool AA2.0 one w a Cree, a Nichia, and another modified with an Osram. The Osram is I think 760 lumens? Comes in the edc15 originally, the Osram, but I much prefer the glowing tail cap and operation of the Tools, so I put an extra Cree head from swapped one back on the edc15. As the cree throws further, I find it more useful as a “keychain light” than the floody Osram it comes with… I honestly just wanted a Tool w EVERY option because I’m obsessed with them😁 I will admit, the 1000lumens has me considering cheating tho🥲🥲🥲 Also a huge Rovyvon fan, I just wish u could change out the batteries😒🙄 but my a28uv is phenomenal too. That’s my “keychain light” I primarily use for antiquing. To see in dimly lit curios, find vaseline glass, ivory, etc…

    Looks like the rider rx with a "different" body? Same battery, same led, same ui
    Edit: sorry, this version has indeed a different led, my bad

    • @TorchHacker
      @TorchHacker ปีที่แล้ว

      The pill in the head of the Pokelit AA unscrews so that you can swap emitter more easily. I think it's stuck in the Rider RX.

  • @jonskitch8082

    It can't do 400m, it's more like a compact flood!

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah I agree, it's got more of a wide 'projector' style beam but it's too wide to throw more than 100m

    • @LV-42617
      @LV-42617 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To "really" throw 400m (where you could actually see something) you need a light with a manufacturers claim of about 1200m which is total unrealistic for an AA light unless you go LEP which is also unrealistic because the beam would be so tight, that it is not helpful at all, lol.
