I actually thinks this fits Blaze super well, and with a few changes or at least, edits to her history in Sonic, it could play really well off the existence of the Multiverse. Main reason I say that is because when Sonic Rush came out and I found out about the Sol Emeralds from Blaze's world, I automatically thought it'd be dope if Sega capitalized on the different types of "emeralds" out there. Their individual abilities, as well as their full power as a unit. In Sonic's case, the Chaos Emeralds possess their own unique properties as well as the ability to bend time and space, but are also focused on a individuals willpower. Individuals with the ability to draw on Chaos Force (the source of the chaos Emerald's powers, as well as source of Sonic's super speed, or Shadow's chaos based abilities like chaos control, chaos blast, and chaos spear) are able to utilize the full might of the chaos emeralds by temporarily merging their ability to tap into chaos Force, and the power of the chaos Emeralds into themselves in order to access a higher level power. This makes good on what Tikal said about how the chaos Emeralds turn your thoughts into power.
Then you have the Sol Emeralds, from Blaze's universe (Silver doesn't exist in that universe, he is from the future of Sonic's universe) which the details of the Sol Emeralds could be built up on throughout the story, but in the end, there are even more emeralds in other universes. And all of the emeralds have their own things going for them, the part that will make it that much crazier, is when you find out that the Emerald's are actually essential to the universes maintaining themselves. Like, if the chaos emeralds and the master Emerald ceased to exist, Sonic's universe would collapse in on itself. The same goes for the Sol Emeralds and all the other various universe's versions of chaos Emeralds, which could lead to a Multiverse type story where the emeralds are being taken and results in Sonic and Blaze teaming up again, but also we get introductions from completely new characters who are basically the Sonic and Blaze of their respective universe.
If only they made a Blaze movie. She deserves to have one.

Even in Super Form, Silver has his hairstyle in the shape of a maple leaf, so it's not Silver, but Sonic. This scene is unofficial, so it would be stupid to start on a childish debate
