Great video ,I used to drive the SeddonAtkinson that belonged to k& sj Harvey, the Volvo with the reels on ,is climbing the hill out of creams paper mill little lever
Well made up seeing this as I am originally from Bolton and Dad having drove for Parker’s ,BRS, And Markland Scowcroft I am familiar with most of the outfits from the late sixties onwards .Thanks for you great work 🎥👌👍🥇
My Dad drove for Parkers and then Mansells which eventually became Fort Sterling and then BRS at Kay St. He then moved onto to Mitchell Freight Services in Walkden.
At 5:00 ish there is an F88 of Mansells. My dad drove MFV 416P for them and then later an F10 ANE 818Y. The BRS Merc just after the F88 was driven by a chap called Chris Trickett.
Brilliant video, used to do a night trunk to Fort Sterling 5 nights a week from Falkirk, Scottish Road Services. Happy days then, glad I’m retired now. Thank you so much for posting these great videos. Kind regards from Scotland Johnny
Also meant to say, I’m sure Hipwood and Grundy were taken over by Hoyer. I remember when they got a huge contract with BP in Grangemouth, some of the tankers and units had Hipwood and Grundy on them. Kind regards from Scotland Johnny
