Oh man, I just bought the same jacket (Olive). I am thrilled. It is expensive (of course it is subjective), but like you said I also believe I will be wearing it for next 10+ years (rotating with other jackets). It is just iconic piece of garment. Great review btw, keep it up. Cheers from Czech Republic!
Thank you for your comment. It's great that you were lucky enough to get one for yourself. It's definitely timeless as well as being a unique and special collaboration.
Well reviewed Conrad, so well done in fact that I just bought an olive one, I already have a G9 but always fancied a Barbour, such a cool item hopefully it will stay with me for many years
So for this jacket particularly I'm wearing a size large. I do not own an Ashby but in regards to the Sapper I wear a size Medium. Hope this helps somewhat.
Your best bet may be to check with Stuarts London. If you are based in London you can check out their store. Otherwise there still seems to be some navy versions available here. www.dandyfellow.com/barbour-x-baracuta-porton-wax-jacket-navy-p60840#attribute%5B1%5D=1961
@@ConradS92 Thank you Conrad! I've got a large, XL and XXL on order. I'm 5' 11", 95 kg and a 42 chest and suit jacket. I am expecting the large to be an absolute joke of a fit, and it'll be interesting to see what happens between the XL and XXL. I am very fit, so no belly fat and just an American football defensive back sort of build. But I have broad shoulders and I am still a big guy, so we'll see what happens! Appreciate your help and will report back for the bigger fellas.
@persistentconsistency No worries. :) You can never be certain when it comes to predicting the correct sizing as sometimes it's down to whether you prefer comfort or a more tailored fit.
@@ConradS92 Indeed! I meant to ask, what size is your Baracuta G9, and do you feel the fit is similar or do they differ? I think they look about the same on you, though the G9's sort of bunch up at the bottom while the Porton doesn't bunch on you at all. So maybe the fit is different, or maybe it's just the bottom not bunching that is different.

@semperf1dude Ahh much appreciated and hope you enjoy the jacket! 😀
extraordinary and beautiful collaboration:)
I agree. :)
are swatting flies?
How’s the sizing of this compared to other Barbour style jackets like the Ashby?

@@ConradS92 thanks for sharing and this info does help a lot
Any sense of sizing compared to Baracuta g9? It looks shorter in body length but blousier than traditional slim fit Harrington
I have this jacket in a Size XXL and the Asby in a Size XL. Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Is it smaller then the normal g9?
Size wise its pretty much the same as the regular g9 although a bit thicker and more dense.
Actually other colourway is black not navy. 2:44
Cool match
Hi what size do you wear in the G9 Barracuta - 40 or 42?
I actually have both, but I mainly go with the 42.
I want this jacket, can you help to get it

What’s your height and weight? If you don’t mind me asking?
5,10. 61 KG
How much do you weigh, and what is your chest size or suit coat size?
@@persistentconsistency Around 60 KG and I would usually wear a 38 regular, suit blazer.

@persistentconsistency The sizing is pretty similar to the original G9 I'd say. I usually go for the size 42.
The zipper on this one is #10? Like the chunky one?
That's right. It's a number 10 zip.
Ma è leggero o più pesante di un Beaufort?
Sembra simile.
Swiss Tony anyone?
