My late pure bred Norwegian forrest cat was highly trained to take care of people with disabilities! He opened doors and saved my sons life! He also told my son when he was to have seizures! My half siamese half Russian blue is very intelligent! He' plays fetch with me! Likes my neighbors dog! He isn't destructive even when we don't play much! He's hands on touches everything and is only vocal around me and my daughter!
Yes, we got a 3 generations Pedigree Turkish angora from Geneva now she's at 6mo. and super smart already - can almost open "Swiss" doors and they are harder to open trust me! Already trained on leash and starting to walk in the garden for now... FETCH games are a nature for her if and when she wants to starting at 4mo. old :) Also she is VERY talkative! What I want to see is also my 2nd favorite is Maine Coon - they are intelligent and gentle.
I have a Persian and I just noticed that he is quite intelligent and I know now that he is on the list of top 10 most intelligent cat breeds I'll try to teach him some basic commands
