I remember when Flygod was first released in 2016. I noticed that not a lot of people knew about this guy (including myself) so I thought I'd give it a play. After the first two songs I was HOOKED. I remember thinking "THIS is the rap I've been wanting to hear for so long!" Thankfully Griselda has been releasing MANY albums since and I've discovered so many low-key rappers that aren't really talked about. Roc Marci, Tha God Fahim, Mach Hommy, Eto, Flee Lord, Your Old Droog, etc.

When I first listened to this album, I thought Westside Gunn sounded a lot like Action Bronson too, just with a higher pitch voice. Definitely has a similar flow
The first vibe I got from it was action Bronson. Just the way he references all these nice beautiful things. How he raps everything together and paints such a vivid picture of something I haven’t experienced myself
To comment on something you said about not wanting to pick a favorite yet: in my experience, the deeper you get, they’ll all be your favorites at one point or another lol. While what they do is similar, they all offer something a little different, and shine brighter at different moments.

Im disappointed too that "the plugs i met" didn't receive that much views for the channel but it appears to be that the members and the sound of Griselda are on the rise to becoming mainstream. There is a lot of great content to discover with these guys and ik you and Simon Miller must love those wrestling references, they have it sprinkled all over their projects

Griselda been the nicest in the hip hop scene for the last 3-4 years, those that know knows. They drop classic after classic, everything they touch is gold! Could recommend westside gunn-flygod, 4th rope, conway- reject 2 and blakk tape, benny- tana talk 3. All classic albums, i could recommend more but the list would be too long. And also, wrestling is to griselda what kung fu was for wu tang clan, hence all the wrestling references. Westside gunn is aaaaall about the culture
