Thank you! This has been my issue as I dive deeper into one sticking and a ring of steps. A methodical approach especially in the dark is key to not taking an hour to set up. 😊
I started one-sticking this fall and I agree having an extra step on the strong side is a great thing for those 12-2 o'clock shots. I don't really see a need for an extra step on the weak side. I was thinking about using a Pursuit Platform off to the side as an extra step.
Just what I needed, finally got a ROS to go with my EWO and was thinking of ways to use them efficiently. I went with XOP Orbit just because they were cheap and fold for packing, have not arrived yet, but hope they are decent. Excellent video!
I personally refuse to pay $350-425.00 for a one stick set-up. I'm using the Bullman Ring of Steps. I climb using a few WEI steps, knaider/swaider and considering the WEI "perch" for next season. I watch enough of your content to know that you go all in with your equipment. Great content!
I tried a ring of steps but didn’t really like them…I use a beast gear stick with a bat platform on top to climb and set an Xop invader platform next to it…let’s me get most of the way around the tree with a solid surface to stand on and push off of…

That is the beautiful thing. Adjust to your needs.
I’ve thought about this this season. Haven’t tried it yet. I have the older ones. New ones definitely upgrade
The new ones are excellent

I run with a buy once cry once philosophy most of the time. Thanks for the views.
I thought you kept your tether in one dump pouch and your lineman's rope in the other dump pouch. How many dump pouches do you use?
I do not use a tether when I one-stick. My rappel rope is my tether, so it never is in a dump pouch. I just run the one dump pouch.
@@NewDayOutdoors You let your rappel rope hang while your hunting?

Lots of options out there for everyone.
