- This is a real chunky monkey junk journal. Loaded with 76 pages and 4 mini journals. It measures 6-1/2 inches x 8 inches not counting the overhang of the laces. It is packed full of laces, buttons, ephemera, tags, embellishments and designer paper. All pages have been coffee or tea dyed to add to the vintage appearance.

So beautiful. Another amazing journal. One thing i have done with thick journals is to have something to put behind the page like paper covered book board that allow for a flat writing surface.

Kathy , it was great excitement here.....I just received this beautiful journal, ( I told you I had to be patient, that it could take between 2-3 weeks to get to Australia ). It arrived in perfect condition as you'd taken such care in the packaging of it. It was worth the wait, it's just exquisite, all the beautiful laces , all the little details. Oh Kathy, your journals are so beautiful! I just can't get enough of looking at them! I do have a couple of questions though. Do you ever make videos on how you make them? Where did you find the extra wide lace? And lastly, where did you get your vintage looking stamps and what is the name of them? Thanks in advance!
Sorry it took so long to get back with you. For some reason I wasn't getting my notifications of comments. Anyway I do not make tutorials, sorry about that. I find laces everywhere. I got some wide ones at Hobby Lobby and an antique store when I lived in California. Not sure which stamps you are referring to.

Another beautiful journal💜You give me inspiration to go back to a journal I was working on. I kept changing the pages and adding to it until it was sooo chunky I put it in a drawer. I had almost decided to cut it up and make cards out of it. I think I will take a second look before I do that🤔It's the first journal I've made so maybe I just need to finish it...even if it's not exactly what I thought it would be.
Don't give up on your journal. Just do what you like and if it is too chunky you can always remove pages. I did that once. Took it apart and then I redid the stitching. It is what YOU like and I'm sure it will be lovely. We all were beginners at one time and the more you make the better you will get. You will like it once it is completed. After all it is your own creation and nothing is better than that. Enjoy the process. It is meant to be fun.
