  • Here's a look at LRP's top of the line Flow Team Works Electronic Speed Control. LRP is known for their Flow Speedo and winning championships as proven by Steven Hartson this past January at the IFMAR world championships (4wd buggy). This 400amp brushless sensored Speedo pack tons of features and on-board programming for the true racer. An aluminum case and heat sink and included fan will keep temps super low in your 1/10th scale 2wd/4wd vehicle. Motor limit is set to 3.0t (That's FAST!!)
    I have this LRP FTW Speedo slotted for my new Team Durango DETC410 and with the help of the the LRP x20 5.5t motor, it will be super quick!
    Here's where I got it and some info from LRP:

    LRP celebrates an impressive comeback with the Flow WorksTeam and Flow Competition high-end brushless speed controls. In two years of hard work LRP did it again: another revolution in brushless technology and a new benchmark in high-performance speed controls is ready to conquer the market.
    The new Flow speedos are based on a completely new platform, designed from scratch. They replace the existing three SXX Version 2 speedos. Racers can use the Flow speedos for modified and stock racing, for both classes it offers a multitude of setup options.
    Optimised cooling, extremely high power output over the entire RPM range and simple but flexible adjustability are only some of the highlights that make the new LRP Flow speedos stand out. The unique software, a heavy copper 8-layer powerboard and the compact 2-piece machined aluminum housing have been never seen before in a brushless competition speed control. Its construction from thermo-conductive aluminium makes the case highly efficient for cooling. LRP is sure that the success story of the LRP SXX speed controls with their uncountable World, European and National Championship titles will continue with the new LRP Flow. The LRP Flow WorksTeam and Flow Competition are the most powerful LRP brushless speed controls ever. Let the energy flow!
    Modified and Stock Racing - All purpose onroad and offroad software for modified and stock classes, incl. boost 0
    Multi-mode profile adjustment - 7 fully adjustable parameters for stock and modified: auto brake, feel, torque timing, boost timing, boost angle, boost turbo, cutoff voltage

    Do you like this esc or the Orion r10 pro more? And what do you run this in? Thanks mike

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're both great ESC's. The racing heritage is awesome with Steven Hartson running the LRP and the Ryan's (Cavalieri and Maifield) running the Orion. The LRP will be making it's debut in the Pro-Line Pro 2 truck for right now

      I'm def gonna do build updates and include any issues I ran into on the build

  • @Elshadi777
    @Elshadi777 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is regarding the Lpr ix8 esc. I would like to see a video, where you fit the cables step by step. The manual that i have does not show which wire goes where.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just pulled up the manual for that ESC and it has designation for each wire on the pictures. Obviously +/- are your battery wires and the A/B/C are your motor wires - the motor wires need to sync with your motor to the exact letter vs a sensorless motor, which it doesn't matter which order. Here's a link: www.lrp.cc/en/product/ix8-brushless-speed-control/

  • @S619jensen
    @S619jensen 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah that's the same manual I found ......it only gives the phase amp current which means burst current kind of like a battery pack ....the phase on the competition is spec rated at 223 phase amps but it's a 80amp continuous current .................the work team is 400amp phase I'm assuming it's a 160 to 190 amp continuous but IDK.....RCN videos are extremely helpful thank you for your time..

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +S619jensen I think it's safe to say it's between 160-200 continuous. What are you powering? The FWT can power anything 1/10th 2wd and 1/10th 4wd buggies easily with no problem. I've even seen 4wd SCT's being powered by them

    • @S619jensen
      @S619jensen 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The RCNetwork im running the SCT momba max 1410 but it does not have Blinky mode.....but I'm getting a team associated TC 6.2 so I need a Blinky mode.... And I've always was a LRP fan in the past .....

    Hey Rich, how do you program that, I have downloaded all I could but it doesn't recognize my esc and later I saw it on the website I doesn't support win8. I have emailed them but no response.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am assuming that you're in the US. The LRP America office is located on this page with the service email and phone number. Best time to call is weekdays before 4pm: www.lrp-america.com/welcome/ JD is the tech guy you'll want to speak to. I saw also on thier site that Win8 is not supported. You're best bet is to get a hold of another computer at this point or maybe even a buddy's at your track

    • @TheRCNetwork

      I think it is.....unless you want to program it via the two buttons and flashing LEDs

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, if you pair it with an X20, there's two additional programming options that only the X20 unlocks

    Can you do a review on the turnigy track star 120a turbo ESC as it is a copy of the r10 pro and I'm wondering how much different it is. Could you also review the track star 540 motors.

      I'm not a big Hobby King fan, as I've been burned by them way too many times. Plus, I have the real deal! From what I've heard, they are similar, but Orions are designed in Switzerland and use a bit different software and programming card that the step child turnigy. Also warranty wise, Horizon Hobby in Illinois deals with all warranties for Orion

      Plaease do I am getting a B44.2 in about 3 days so any info ASAP would be great. though I do see he ae guys that aren't sponsored by Orion or other brands running Lrp for esc reedy for motor!!

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The B44.2 is a great 4wd buggy! The Team drivers for AE are pretty much locked into Reedy motor and LRP Flow Speedos. That's pretty much what Hartson runs. Cavalieri runs for Team Orion, so he's doing the R10 Pro combo

    • @TheRcworld101
      @TheRcworld101 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then i'll probablly go orion esc reedy 6.0
