Yea, the character was clearly templated off the Office. She was a peppy lady clone of Michael for the first season before they decided that it wasn't a great way to go with the character.
Shauna is an actual sweet person and Bobby is actually a really nice person. Neither one is the sharpest tool in the shed, with Bobby being a little duller than most. I think she is the type to actually fall in love with people who are kind to her and he just likes cool people, so their relationship is as real as any of the other on the show.
I never got the impression that Shauna was dumb, just naive. Bobby, on the other hand, is just childlike. It's a match that works, just look at April and Andy.
I always thought it was funny how everyone, even the people she dated called her by her full name, Shauna Mulway Tweep, every time. It's a fun name to say!

Shows how low the standards are for white men in writers' mind for them to create a character so bland and basic as the Don Juan of the city. Other men had things that made them stand out: Andy was the adorable, fun Golden Retriever guy, Chris was not only objectively handsome but also caring and positive, Ben was nerdy, quirky and reliable, Ron was very respectful, honest and charismatic, etc., but Mark really didn't have anything that made him special. Which is probably why the character never worked either, he wasn't bringing anything.

You can literally an empty glass-like wall of text popping out. It's in the future, where phones project the information. The fact the phone case is empty and the text pops out for everybody to see is ridiculous on purpose.
She also was agressive towards Shauna. Leslie is always shown being highly imaginative. With Mark she envisions being in a bond close to relationship despite that not existing. So in her emotional state Mark sleeping around is a betrayal. It's silly and that's were the fun comes from. And people behave like that in real life
