    I got myself an Anne Pro 2; initially ordered the Kailh Box Whites from Banggood.com however the delivery time was delayed MASSIVELY and I settled with the Gateron Browns; to say going from Razer Greens to Gateron Browns was a massive improvement is an understatement. The best way to describe them is a smooth and chunky and they feel great; the sound as well is just so smooth I love them. Would definitely suggest browns over reds however I've only tested Cherry MX Reds not Gaterons but brown is certainly the choice to consider :D

    One thing I did to mitigate the loss of the arrow keys was to map them to the keys in the bottom four corners (after swapping the alt and fn and doing appropriate remapping in the app). I've found that it works surprisingly well, but only if you don't use those particular modifiers in that corner.

      Hey thank you!
      I modded my keyboard a bit so I might make a video about it to show off what I did to it, but other than that, I will not have keyboard-related content soon I think. I will focus a bit more on clean setup tips, audio gear and stuff like that. But keyboard reviews will be back someday whenever I get tired of that one haha! :P

    +Minimalistik do you recommend this one over the Master keys pro S as I'm a very serious gamer and I don't want a low end or a low quality keyboard, and as usual keep up the good work!

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment! :)
      I'm pretty sure the Master Keys Pro S will be a better quality keyboard (pricier though).
      The Anne Pro is a really special product (RGB, mech, bluetooth and wired) so it's really meant for people who want to deal with the slightly unstable behaviours it can have.
      As a gamer, the bluetooth mode is useless as it will introduce too much lag.
      For a more "stable", always working keyboard, the Masterkeys Pro would be better I guess.
      I also have a CM Quickfire TK Brown and the quality is amazing for the price, so the Materkeys should be on point.

    • @Inzentiv
      @Inzentiv 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok thanks but I don't wanna go for something like the TK cause its a single color LED and im looking for a cheap and good quality keyboard i've seen the masterkeys pro go down to a pretty good price in sweden where i live so thats why i asked you :) but i've also gotten alot of recommendations for the anne pro instead cause of the price and better keycaps and better rgb and case and so on and i heard that the gaetronn switches are superior to cherry mx so idk what i wanna get it's a difficult choice XD but thanks again if u change your mind of what i should get for my suitability then tell me atm im using a devestator II

    Wish there was a keyboard using the same technology as your wireless mouse is using... The wireless gaming mice from logitech are AMAZING! Using the G403 Prodigy Wireless myself, and LOVING it.... if only Logitech could make a mouse keyboard wireless gaming combo

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment! :D
      Yeah, I'ld love that as well!
      I have a G900 and the lag can't be perceived, I'ld love if Logitech made small mechanical keyboards with the same wireless technology!
      Someone in the comments linked to a reddit thread where people have found a way to minimize the lag to an almost perfect way, so I will probably try that soon to see how it performs. Maybe I didn't have that setting on when I tested the bluetooth function.
      As of now, I've been using it wired as it's 100% reliable.

    • @PerStianDigranes
      @PerStianDigranes 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you try out that wireless "lag free" method make a video, I will watch the shit out of it! :P Because if it actually works well I will order it assap

    I'm pretty sure you can game on this keyboard. I've read that even with wireless mode, there isn't any noticeable input lag even at 5 meters. I've done some research and apparently this is an issue which you can fix by enabling/disabling some weird feature by pressing some key combinations, I saw a thread on reddit.com/r/AnnePro about it.

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could try various bluetooth adapters.
      I think the one that comes with the keyboard is probably not the best out there.
      And you could try having it as close as possible to the keyboard without objects interfering.
      I can't say if it will be enough for gaming though.

  • @dinchik011
    @dinchik011 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Right now i have CK108, I'm tottaly fine with it but sometimes i want to have that witeless mod. Maybe my next mech keybord i will buy in next 2 years and it will for sure wireless. Maybe companies like corsair will introduce their wireless rgb, mechanical keybord. But nowadays if i had a chance to buy new keybord, it would be anne pro rgb for sure!

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a pretty cool keyboard!
      The wireless mode is not good enough for gaming imo, but it's getting there.
      Corsair released their first wireless mech keyboard I think! (K63 ?)

    • @dinchik011
      @dinchik011 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you are right. But K63 doesn`t have rgb lighting and for me it`s downside. If Anne had TKL size, then it would`ve be the best mech keyboard in my opinion.

    Question : Can I use bluetooth option while wired? If so, how is the switching between cable and not cable and how fast is it to connect? I'm mainly asking this because I think I would find it awesome to game on a cable, and to reply to messages on my phone, which sits on a charging dock!

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I just tested this feature, and it doesn't work.
      The keyboard can be connected to a phone over bluetooth while connected over usb to a PC, but I haven't found a way to type on the phone that way, it only sends a signal to the PC. The only way it can work is if both devices are connected over bluetooth, with the wire unplugged, and then you can quite easily switch between both.
      hope it helps! :)

    • @MistwalkerMayakii
      @MistwalkerMayakii 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for trying it!
      How quickly does it switch between each device if one decides to actually game without a wire?

      Gaming is not really possible using the bluetooth mode, as there's too much input lag, and it's inconsistent.

      Hope it helped!

    Is it possible to use this keyboard wireless to play League of Legends? Or will it lag too much?

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lag varies depending on multiple factors (bluetooth receiver, location, etc.) but I would advise you to use a cable if you want to use it for gaming. In my tests, the lag factor was variable which made it unsuited for gaming. It was pretty intense some times, and unnoticeable at other times. Hope it helps 🙂

    "it would be perfect if it had arrow keys" lol then don't get a 60% keyboard layout

    • @LongTran-yv2nq
      @LongTran-yv2nq 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, it's quite ironic to have a complain like that with a 60%

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Some 60% keyboards have arrow keys, the matias 60% keyboard as an example.
      I wish there was a 60% bluetooth RGB mech keyboard with arrow keys.
      Nothing ironic in there as it's only a matter of putting all those features together.
      With the Anne Pro, you can still remap the bottom right keys to arrow keys, but you loose some keys that can be useful.

    • @ChristophWedenig
      @ChristophWedenig 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      that's a 65% keyboard then.

    • @ZooterTheWooter
      @ZooterTheWooter 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the matias isn't 60%. 60% keyboards don't have arrows. I think the matias would be considered a TKL keyboard or a 66% since it only has 66 keys.
      60% boards are boards that have the standard layout between tilde and the numeric numbers. + alphabet and standard keys. Also thanks a lot for this review, I was considering on buying this board but decided to just go with the poker 3 because of the input lag you mentioned. I'd rather just drill a hole to hide the cable than to be wireless and have input lag.

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ultra late reply, but matias call it themselves a 60% keyboard : matias.ca/60/pc/
      Also, I got used to the lack of arrow keys (using Fn + WASD instead) and I love it that way!!

      FOX GAMING drevo is awful. it uses bluetooth 3.0 while the anne uses 4.0. 3.0 has insane lag while the anne has a lot less. wired is best for gaming but the anne is probably the best bet for wireless and wired.

      Yeah didn't include one as I feel these vary a lot depending on the skills of the typer. It sounds a bit more like a Cherry MX Red than a Brown. I think that TaeKeyboards on TH-cam did a more in depth review of that keyboard as well and I'm pretty sure he did a typing test.

    I have exactly the same keyboard with the same switches and I'm not happy with it... Battery on wireless lasts 6 hours with RGB turned on (it stays on all the time for me). I haven't noticed any lag via bluetooth. Some of the keys squeak sometimes and not every key needs the same amount of pressure to be pressed down. Most of the time keyboard crashes (and i have to reset it) when it's connected via usb to my PC and via bluetooth to my phone. There's only 25 colors that you can choose from in the software and they look super ugly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS KEYBOARD AT ALL!

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow I'm sorry you don't like it.
      I haven't noticed any crash on my side, but always turn off bluetooth when it is plugged via USB, so maybe that's why. I haven't noticed the key pressure issue either, although my switches seems to be a little loose. About that battery, the RGB might really be the issue, although that's a bit sad to hear, as I would've like LEDs on wireless with a decent battery life. Maybe we could swap the battery for a bigger one, as it's not soldered and only plugged into the board.
      I found the colors pretty vibrant on my side, maybe not as good as razer's RGB models, but on par or better than my Corsair K65.
      Does your model have Gateron switches or cheaper alternatives?

    What The Vast Majority of the "Ooh-Aahs" have yet to realise is that current motherboard BIOSes do NOT allow for BlueTooth keyboards to gain access.
    In other words, one cannot access the PC's BIOS when using a BTooth keyboard. How convenient and "Ooh-Aah" is this?

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, luckily, it also supports a wired connection, which will work in MOBO's bioses

    Wireless mech keyboard are stupid and pointless. The point of mechanical keyboards is to be faster, but when it's wireless then it travels without a wire so it's slower. pointless

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wireless can be super fast, checkout the Logitech G900, which is faster than a lot of wired mice.
      Although the purpose of mechanical keyboards can be their reactiveness, most people out of the "gaming" sphere buy them for the feeling it gives. This keyboard's wired mode is using the wire to send the signal, resulting in a lag-free experience.
      For what is now 80$ US, this keyboard is an incredible value, and it would be even if it was only wired. The wireless option is really interesting for tablet/phone users who have to write stuff on the go and still want to get the mechanical keyboard switch feel.

  • @nitroxide17
    @nitroxide17 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    All the reviewers for this keyboard are hilarious... Oh the wireless feature sucks... don't worry just use wire. NO. That defeats the the whole purpose of this keyboard as there are wired mechanical keyboards that cost even less. Unacceptable.

    • @minimalistik
      @minimalistik  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't defeat the purpose as 60% keyboard with RGB LEDS alone are rare at that price point.
      For the money spent, it's a good value even when if it didn't have bluetooth.
      Also, with firmware upgrades, the bluetooth experience gets better (like always on LEDS, and less lag)
      And it depends on your bluetooth receiver as well, some people experience no issues with it.
