When it comes to looking the part I think you forget how much work the makeup and wardrobe team put in to make her look even younger and Pedro older. And with s2 she'll be playing around her age. There's no show Abby to even compare to yet so that's too early to say but it already looked ridiculous for game Ellie going against Abby. That was the point, there was more to it than muscles. It was about how far they were both willing to go.
I'm so glad they've got that "oath" to stay away from the comments around the show, be it negative or positive. Some of the hate Bella Ramsey has gotten is completely unwarranted and insanely immature. I'm sure she probably has thicker skin than I imagine, but it kind of made me lose some faith in humanity from hearing and seeing it myself, so I can't imagine if I was her and it was directed at me. The creators still know about the source content and direct the actors in the general path that they want the characters to follow, while still giving them some leeway and not expecting them to just do a carbon copy of their counterparts in the game. It allows for a different and fresh portrayal of the characters, while still keeping the essence of who those characters are. My point is exactly that. For anyone who's played the game, it's clear to see that Bella isn't just trying to replicate Ellie's persona from the game. She's putting her own spin to it, and for what it's worth I think her portrayal has been pretty damn good. She's absolutely adorable in those scenes where she's trying to display the playful, innocent side of Ellie trying to crack down Joel's wall, and she's really fuckin' good in the more emotional scenes where her character experiences trauma. I wasn't sure from the get-go but she's been giving a very good, nuanced performance, while still being very different from Ashley Johnson's portrayal.

Watching episode 5 has in my mind solidified Bella Ramsey as an INCREDIBLE Ellie. And I feel the same way, the negative comments towards her I’ve found negatively affect my mood, I can’t imagine if it was actually me those senseless comments were directed at!

She comes across as so awkward and uncomfortable doing interviews like this but then you see her performing such astonishing scenes with absolute conviction and mastery and it's like she's a different person. She's definitely winning a lot of awards for this season 👏

Think Bella grew into the part of Ellie. I thought she came over a little too street wise and cold in the first few episodes but in recent episodes we've seen that softer more vulnerable side to Ellie, which I think is so important in the growing relationship between her and Joel. Some amazing reactions too. Bella's (Ellie's) reaction to Henry shooting himself sent chills down my back and the "everyone except f--king you" really hit home. Of all the games I've played over the years TLOU is my favourite by quite some distance and I think they're doing a wonderful job so far. I only wish you guys would have been given 12 or 16 episodes, because there's so much more to tell and I feel they're having to rush through sections a bit. Good luck with the rest of the series Bella....the age thing , my daughter was just like that. She was still carrying her passport at 26 to show she was old enough to drink lol. God if I was recommending classics I've loved from back in the day, there are so many. I guess 'One flew over the cuckoos nest' from my teenage years and a more recent film (2004) and one that flies under the radar is Shane Meadows 'Dead mans shoes'. Such a superb film, but I have to say it's a little violent and disturbing in places but one that leaves such an impression.

I had watched the gameplay a thousand years before seeing the HBO series poster, but when I first saw the poster, it made total sense, as if Bella was in the game. Then I watched the whole gameplay again and obviously see now their differences, but they're both so valid in the idea of who Ellie is that it's easy to accept they're the same person. I just wanted to say Bella can play older Ellie in Season 2. She can act her actual age (19 years old), and they can make her look older with makeup, hair & costume. She can wear lifts in her shoes and she can bulk up a bit.
I don’t agree , I cannot see Ramsey square off against Abby in the least bit … I’m not knocking her acting this literally boils to a physical mismatch beyond the mismatch in the game , ellie at least is tall and slender with ripped arms … she got smashed by Abby but it was a believable fight in a sense … Ramsey woudl get annihilated in 1 second by Abby purely based on the physical build … I think they need a 10 year time jump and cast maybe the redhead from IT or something , someone that is built more like Rey from Star Wars

I went into this video purely to thank you so much for including spoilers in the title, and no spoilers in the thumbnail. I have been spoiled so much already of season 2 because of people literally spoiling stuff in their thumbnail, it has ruined the entire story for me. At least kinda, the show is absolutely fantastic tho. I have not played the games, because they are pretty expensive, and the story will come out on the show anyway.

I am very exacted for the 2nd series, there are so many thi9ngs I am looking forward to. As far as I am concerned the 2nd game is bigger, better and more mature. Its 10 times as impressive.

Voice overs. Their talent is a once in a century occurrence. They have obviously received lessons in many areas. But the spark was already in their soul. I can only hope and pray the “entertainment industry” does not push them to do things just for profit. And that the horrid online trolls do not smother them with hate. I spotted her out on "Game Of Thrones", as exceptionally talented, little could I had known. I think now our thoughts are now shared by millions, myself I can't get enough of her and she has that iconic level of charisma that cannot be taught or given.

You all are so mean sometimes, the reason their stuttering and not seeming like they are not prepared is because it’s not scripted they might’ve seen the question but it’s not scripted so they had to think of it on the spot
i don't understand why people are so mean, this is cute. she is still young and maybe somewhat inexperienced or shy. that's ok.
