    I have printed almost every model Fulvio has masterfully created. His designs are unmatched in the 3D printing world as far as I know. I am always eagerly awaiting his next release. Thank you for making a video that puts a spotlight on this wonderful artist. You did a great job with all your color choices.

    Love watching your videos. I think this mansion would make a great present for older kids to assemble from a kit with instructions, pictures or small videos, glue and a choice of trimmings like the clock and the other part that you didn't use. I am stunned at the detail the designer has put into his creation. 5 star quality work. I'm so glad you found this project. I can imagine it keeping kids quiet for many hours. Thanks, Macy

    Awesome Video of a really awesome product. Thank you for the showcase. A suggestion, if I may: instead of glueing in the optional items, you could use some small rare earth magnets (neodymium) to hold the items in place (roof as well) and then if you change your mind you just change the item.

    Hi Macy! I love watching your evolution through 3d printing. I also 3d print products and I’m at the point where I need to do some instructional videos for them. What kind of gear do you use to do your videos? I’d like to keep things simple but I also want to produce something gives the illusion I know what I’m doing. Haha. I’m sure there are others out there that wonder how you make your videos as well. Thank you!

    • @macymakes3d
      @macymakes3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe I'll make a video on this... but my favorite intro camera is the sony zv-e10. I have a few different lenses but the one that comes with the camera is good enough to start out with. I use adobe premiere pro for video editing, but davinci resolve is free and probably what I would use if I wasn't already paying for the adobe products. And then the only other thing that I think is necessary is a lavalier mic for filming, and then a desktop mic if doing screenrecordings.

    • @ScottTalbott-l6e
      @ScottTalbott-l6e 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@macymakes3d Thanks Macy. That helps a lot. I think one of the things that keep people from making their own videos, is thinking they have to have thousands of dollars in camera gear, a degree from some mystical TH-cam academy, and overwhelming self confidence. I think it would enlighten and encourage people to see not only how you put your videos together now, but what you started with and how you learned along the way.

    • @macymakes3d

      I think they would print fine on the a1. The main house is too big for the mini but the other parts would print fine. He has slicers setup for prusa and they're all bed slingers so I think you'll be fine.

      I think it was around $210. But a few colors could be swapped for filament you already have making it a bit cheaper.

    Hi Macy, I have the bambu x1c and have purchased the Xmas castle from this designer. Not sure how to deal with the color changes so I don't have to baby sit for manual changes? Would love to hear a tip or 2 on printing these files?

      Do you also have the AMS? If so, just assign the colors when you send to the printer. If you don't have the AMS set the color changes to "pauses" in the slicer and the printer should pause and allow you to switch filaments. It may pause on its own with just the color changes, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Have you tried a multi AMS on one printer print yet?

    • @macymakes3d
      @macymakes3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, I've tried the full 16 color setup and it's nice but also tough to keep track of. I keep one printer setup with 2 ams to give me an 8 color option, but it's rare I use more than 8 colors on a print.

    Macy, what are the dimensions of the bottom of the Haunted Mansion, the sum of the four bases? We are moving to Tallgrass Creek before long and they have a "porch" in front of every door where we are going. So I need to know if the Hauted Mansion is going to fit on the "porch." Thanks for your time.

    FYI Bambu Labs says not to use cardboard spools in the AMS. You have to print a ring adapter to go around them.

    It's really impressive work! By the way, I use a lot of glue for models I make, and it always leaves that foggy residue - how do you deal with this? Or what type of glue do you use?

    • @macymakes3d
      @macymakes3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't use glue that often, but I just use gorilla glue. There's probably better options. I've heard 3d gloop is good but out of stock every time I check.

    When you print your multi colored nameplates, how do you color them? Do you always have to color by hand in the Bambu Labs studio? I’m a total beginner and I’m wondering how that’s done.

    This video made me question whether people might count floors differently elsewhere in the world ... I was taught that the bottom floor would be the "ground floor" and hence the "first floor" would be already on top of that one, but in this video (unless I misunderstood) the bottom floor was called the first floor and the top one the third floor (whereas in my view that would have been the second floor). Anyway, my question hence is: was this just a mistake or is the way of counting floors (in English) different per region?

    @macymakes3d Any estimation on how many complete Mansions you could print before you'd have to reorder more Polymaker filiment?

    • @macymakes3d
      @macymakes3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would need more marble and grey to be able to print multiple because those colors used up a lot, but the other colors only used like 100g so maybe 8-10 houses with those rolls and 1-2 with the marble and grey.
