    Having lived in that same area as a teenager long before they built all the high dollar housing all the way out to the end of "R" Drive, I recognized it immediately! Lotsa good fishing along that rip-rap rock line, tho we never pulled any bulls from there. I still anchor up along the rock line from time to time...and yes, the tide rips coming and going! (I use to tie new Levis to a dock line and let the rushing tide fade/wash them for a cycle or two.) Great vid and good 'public service' about catchin' and releasin' as quickly as possible!

    I know I'm late to the party because I just found your channel but after watching I have to comment. Watching Jeff on that fish I expected y'all to have to revive him.

    Great job 👏, what sz are the rods and what sz weight&braid do ya"ll use

    • @truluvinfishing

      Thank you. For the big reds we use 5000 to 6500 series reels with 40 pound braid and 50 pound fluorocarbon leader. The weight varies based on current that day we were using 16 oz. Weights and 5.0 circle
      Hooks.

      Thanks a lot , I'm looking to add couple rods w 8000 sz reels , gotta have that in your arsenal for fall mullet run even that I don't like to fish live or cut bait..must be hard to sit in that strong current

      @@vladimirnovakovic1606 a lot of rope and a good amount of chain. About 35 feet right there of depth right there. Good
      Luck and thanks again for watching.

    I can’t tell where they are located

    What kind of rig is that? I’m looking to make one of the same, is the weight on the braided line?

    • @truluvinfishing
      @truluvinfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No.... the braid runs to a three way swivel. From the swivel you then run a fluorocarbon leader to your hook. On the side swivel loop run a piece of leader about 4 inches and that is where the weight goes. If you need pics let me know it's not a problem.

      Tim if I can find it I will send to you. It is actually from the GoPro studio under the edit section I believe. There are a bunch to choose from but I will see if I can find it.

    Hey I came across your video and noticed how you talk about taking care of the fish. You’re doing something very wrong and you need a little help on another thing. First is you should NEVER use a lipping device on fish that big if you don’t intend to kill them. Hanging them by their lip especially while they’re thrashing around can damage their organs. The other thing is when reviving the reds you want to make their bodies move pretty much like a snake to help them break down the lactic acid that’s built up. We all learn from eachother. Good vid and tight lines buddy.

      I appreciate the feedback and I will definitely learn from what you said and improve. Thanks for the knowledge!
