As I live in Australia I'd never heard of this show. I came across it on you-tube through being a big 'Royle Family' fan (my original home territory). I watched episode 1 of this yesterday and thought that it was somehow too sick to watch any more, but I couldn't get it out of my head all night so here I am again today. It is 'horrifically' funny. Part three tomorrow!
Absolutely genius… physical comedy done right… this is a little gem of a forgotten set of characters … how we need real comedy again in this lost time for Tv and Film current day 2024 🎥 5:44
Where else have I seen the actor who plays Mr. Merton? He seems familiar somehow. Was he perhaps in the movie "Coma"? Woody Allen's "Sleeper"? Weekend At Bernie's"? Oh, I know: "The Big Chill"! (No, wait. That was Kevin Costner...)
Didn't Mrs Merton think all this Molly coddling her son was bad for him? Didn't she want him to have a normal life. She's quite selfish and manipulative.
It because your mind is one that is far too easily pleased. You cannot appreciate the nuances and subtleties of anything with a little bit of intelligence.
"I wish your father would stop sending for these catalogues for stairlifts". I love the idea that poor Mr Merton is trying to escape from upstairs.
I remember staying up until 8.30 on a weeknight to watch this. Such a privilege to be allowed to stay up so late!
Who do you think you are? Peter Stringfellow?
Just watched the first two episodes with tears of laughter running down my face. Thanks for posting.

This sitcom has to be one of the most tedious sitcoms produced by the BBC. Scene by scene it was like wading through glue.
Disagree
@@michaelbarnes3804 You have that right. I do not agree, but that is your right.
Plonker, it's called laughter 😂
Everyone has a right to their own wrong opinion.... now eff-off back to Mrs Brown's Boys.
