That was a concept coz they showed what can be done but production version has to be affordable as RE is known for that, spending 2 3 laks more will get you that byke but it would be underpowered with fat tyres and for that it has to turbocharged as 650cc engine is best for cruising in higher revs hence they toned it down but same design language, it's a new category design a true custom

change the front tyre to the same size as back ! Thats what bobbers are for ! also price 4,25,000 for 50 bhp bike isnt justified make it atleat 3,50,000 !

Why no new speedometer , looks like supermeteor with straight handlebar…tank is also being taken from RE SP650 even if you see it from behind the mud guard and rear tyre doesnt go nice it just awful, i was waiting for this bike more than 1.5 yrs when you launched the concept of SG 650 now you launched this ,,, you broke hearts RE …

- It's a custom bike. The price is for the limited colorway which is hand painted. The production version will be launched next year, expect the price to be lower then the 'Super Meteor'.

Looks good but a bit too modern for my taste. Glad you didn't put the digital speedo on this one, it's fine in the Himalyan but here would out of place. Hope the Classic 650 doesn't take much longer to come out, but if the SG650 has some more traditional colours I might be tempted as well.

Those were concepts. Concepts always go for outlandish and impractical design choices to grab eyeballs. When you make an actual design for everyday use, there are many factors to consider like rider ergonomics, balance, performance etc. They can't stick a fat wide tyre on a production bike just because it looks good.
That launch was way “ over the top”. Very naff. Not sure what segment of the market this bike is aimed at but I think the PR people went a bit wild with this one. Just looks silly.
Do RE need a change in management? Tired of seeing bikes launched on the same platforms. Either innovate, adapt or the company will really go bankrupt.6 years for one new bike. With current market share in India, they should have scope for multiple new projects. And please get Siddharth lal to introduce new bikes, not that moustache guy. So corny😂😂😂

Please don't call it as SHORTGUN 650 it was looking like HUNTER 650 🥲, very disappointed by the design, I was booked GT 650 and cancelled for this SG 650 and waited 6 months finally these guys disappointed me ☹️
