    It‘s mindblowing to me how much more modern the lift system over here in Austria is - and lift prices are like half. The chairlifts in this video I‘ve seen last time when I was a kid - like 30 years ago! ;-D

    Loved this video. I’ve been planning a trip to Whistler and just watching vids and seeing the lines, I was thinking of doing Fitzsimmons, Garbanzo to Emerald and your vid just confirmed it as everyone said the Gondola was time consuming lining up. Also, have never done a T-bar run so will try that now after seeing the conditions for Showcase. Thanks for a really good informative video of the mountains. Thanks from the Gingerman.

    the new Big Red is my favourite. Love the views and it is out of the wind. Emerald gets cold when there was winds off the peak.

    Been skiing for 10 years in Washington state, only four hours from whistler. This winter I’ll finally visit this beautiful resort for the first time 😍

    Who said Catskinner was a beginner lift in the first place? Always a park lift. Realignment of the lift meant it served more terrain, and now serves family terrain, a terrain park, and even some black diamonds. It's much better now. It's even my new profile picture!

      I thought it was a beginner lift based on what Skier 72 said about it, but it doesn’t feel like one. I took a few laps on that lift during my trip.

      @@TwinSkiingLiftsRides Wait what did I say about it? 😂I've never been to WB so I don't really know.

      @@Skier72 You compared this lift to Strawberry at Sunshine and Juniper at Lake Louise in my Catskinner video. Catskinner’s most definitely a park lift. But detachables are nice to have as beginner lifts tho

    • @Skier72
      @Skier72 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TwinSkiingLiftsRides Oh right. Funny thing is, Juniper at Louise isn't really that good of a beginner lift. Once Louise builds the Sunnyside chair, that will actually be a proper beginner lift. (BTW lift ranking of Louise coming out after all Sunshine vids uploaded)

    Garbo is a total lapping chair. Best groomers on Whistler and amazing trees. Best mid mountain lift on Whis

    I’ve never skied WB (but I’ve visited it many times t rough google maps😂), and am glad that symphony got the attention. It seems like a quiet and underrated area of the mountain that whistler Blackcomb TH-camrs (there are a few) fail to showcase (no pun intended)

    • @TwinSkiingLiftsRides
      @TwinSkiingLiftsRides  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Symphony is one of my favorites for sure. I wish I took more laps on it; I wanted to explore as much as possible since I only had a few skiing days during that trip.

      symphony is definitely not underrated and people flock to that lift too!

    What an awesome video! Great job. I'm thinking about doing some lift rankings myself! Maybe Aspen or somewhere in Vermont... I actually filmed a video of me breaking down the Aspen Mountain trail map and doing a lift ranking but then realized in the end that the whole video was vertical and not horizontal. OOPS. what do you think? Still post it or no?! Keep up the great content!

    I have to disagree that Fitz-Garbo-Emerald is faster than taking the village gondi 90% of the time. If the line is huge then yeah I can see that, but once you're on it's a 20 min direct shot.

    • @TwinSkiingLiftsRides
      @TwinSkiingLiftsRides  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The gondola may seem faster, but I prefer Fitz-Garbo-Emerald solely because I don’t have to take off my skis. WVG regularly slows and stops, making the WVG ride at least half an hour. For Fitz-Garbo-Emerald, you’re skiing for at least one of those legs, which is way more fun than waiting in line for the gondola.

      @@TwinSkiingLiftsRides I do get the point of not having to take off equipment. The first year that they had the new cabins that would run it at 1100 fpm as long as it wasn't windy. At that speed it wasn't too bad. 850 would be arduous. I guess Vail Resorts is trying to lower their energy bill... Anyway these rankings are super fun, I hope you guys make more!

      @@TwinSkiingLiftsRides wait isn’t village cabriolet at winter park a real estate lift? Or are real estate lifts only fixed grip gondolas?

    • @TwinSkiingLiftsRides
      @TwinSkiingLiftsRides  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Sterlingclub24 The Village Cabriolet isn’t really a real estate lift - it’s a connector between the parking lot and the base village. Most real estate lifts are generally fixed-grip chairlifts, like Big Sky.

      I just checked your removed ski lifts playlist and Jersey Cream is not on that list since it was removed this year
