  • Copper Mountain is one of Colorado's biggest ski areas at 2434 acres and 150 runs. In this video we rank all 19 chairlifts at Copper from worst to best. Enjoy.
    *NOTE: The Back Bowls weren’t open during our trip, so it was kinda hard figuring out the best placement for those lifts. The lift placements are based off our opinions and experiences with similar terrain.

    Good review. T-Bars are cool. Filming the new Juniper Express at Louise this weekend, might consider doing a review/ranking for Louise a bit later.

    Haha, I knew Lumberjack would get the worst ranking. Great ranking, I enjoyed it!

      Yeah, thanks! Even if Lumberslack ran at its normal speed, I would still put it in last place just because it’s just not that interesting IMO

    Lumberjack was predictable, but I wasn't sure what ranking you were going to give the Excelerator (as in the "Accelerator").

    Copper is my favorite mountain in Colorado. The layout of the lifts make it so that if you’re a type 3/3+ advanced to expert skier you can get basically anywhere pretty easily and get in a lot of runs on a variety of terrain. My favorite lifts based on lines, views, trails served, and traverse-ability are superbee, excellerator, Sierra, timberline, and mountain chief. I love the trails under the lift line of Sierra and timberline, Copper bowl for the challenge, and superbee for the speed and carving. I avoid the bubble lift and American flyer like the plague because the runs are a little too mellow and they are full of Jerrys. And plus on the bubble I can’t easily sit on my poles and people are always trying to put the bubble down. I use them out of necessity to get to better parts of the mountain. And sometimes enjoy carving turns on those blue runs if it’s not too crowded. There are some good trees off of the bubble and it’s easy to get to Sierra but that’s it. I can deal with the lines on timberline because that lift line mogul run is just too fun and it’s nice that I can use the bathroom and get a pretty decent hot dog at the shack. Excellerator is awesome because of the lodge at the base which is the best place to take a rest and refuel. Great vibes and not super crowded, the bump runs off there are great too. The Woodward express is also fun during the couple times in my day where I’m feeling some of the medium sized park jumps. I always take the black route from the alpine lot to super bee to start my day.

    Question... which resort do you think is best to work for 3 months as good snowboard... Copper Mntn or Sugar Bowl California?

    @ericepperson8409 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Rankings are subjective, but I think the top 5 here missed some points. Timberline Ridge is a decent lift that sevices some good, if short, blue runs. It definitely drops a couple places in my estimation based on 1.Getting to it is a bit of work 2.The lines are always a mess 3. A lot of the folks there are more interested in getting runs between drinks at the nearby T-Rex hut. Super Bee gets a lot of attention as one of the best lifts in North America for a reason - It's runs are challenging but fun and its operation is smooth and efficient. As good as Storm King is, it's hard to put any T-bar in a #1 spot.

      @TwinSkiingLiftsRides  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was one of my harder rankings just because a lot of major areas such as Resolution Bowl and Copper Bowl weren’t open. I just had the most fun with Storm King simply because I could take as many laps on it as I wanted to. This list may change if I get the chance to go back and check out the areas I missed.

      I will eventually. That one will be my hardest one since a lot of terrain was closed when I visited.

    Disagree about the Rendezvous lift. There is a lot of ungroomed powder there great for getting your powder chops down. AND it is some of the hardest and most varied green terrain anywhere.

    • @TwinSkiingLiftsRides
      @TwinSkiingLiftsRides  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I unfortunately did not get to experience Rendezvous in its fullest potential since the Back Bowls were closed. Plus, the runs are kinda flat near the bottom, and I probably would’ve put this lift a bit higher if the Back Bowls were open. I didn’t experience much off this lift during my trip.

    • @BrandonMeyer1641
      @BrandonMeyer1641 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sierra just does it better imo. I can see it being used to get to copper bowl but there are other ways. Lapping that lift is almost pointless because it’s so slow and flat. Sierra is right next to it and is faster, is better to lap because the terrain is more fun, can get you to back bowls, is easy to access from the bubble, and can get you to timber line via some really fun terrain over by union meadows. I barely see anyone ride that lift.
