Love the doggy window....a game changer
Yeah, thats unique. Haven't seen any other car with that?
The Ocean is indeed impressive, and this very informative video has gives me the reasoning to seriously consider acquiring one to replace my beloved Model Y. Personally, EVs work extremely for me well given my driving requirements and also the fact that I live in southern California (solar panels take care of all electrical needs). My lease expires in December, maybe time for an Ocean, it’s now definitely a contender!
Thank for your comment, and I am glad this video could help you to compare them. I've recently bought a Tesla Model Y RWD my self, and I am very happy with it. But I am looking forward to the Day I can try the Fisker Ocean, but I have no idea when that will be. I Don't know when the Car will Come to Norway.
I totaly agree with you that EV is working Great for daily living. I could never go back to gasoline car
Have you thought about other evs as well, or is the Tesla Model Y ok?
@@itselectricvideos I really like the Model Y and have no significant complaints with it. Given its pricing, it's still very much a contender. I've been looking at the Kia 6 and Hyundai Ioniq 6 and find them impressive too. They've also been in existence for enough time to work out the inevitable issues that are inherent with brand new models. Lots to consider.
@@itselectricvideos I agree, rarely do I ever need to charge away from home. Pretty great!
I want to buy in Vancouver canada
Saw the title and thought what? The only Fisker I have seen on the road was at a vintage car show. It was one of those one off that someone bought before the first Fisker company went under. The owner said it was a total waste of money as he will never be able to get parts for it and showing it at the show was the only use he's gotten out of it. Fast forward wind a few years... sitting on the front steps on my house on a busy street (California bay area), a good one forth of the cars going by are Tesla and a some number of Bolts, ID4 and EV-6 and many others. In my garage I have a Tesla model 4 and A Nissan Ariya EV. Had an order for Subaru EV, ID4 and Fisker Ocean. The others took too long to come to market and ended up with the Ariya. As for HUMILIATES the entire industry...no in my mind. I hope to see the Fisker Ocean on the road soon. We need more EV on the road and lean to transition away from fossil fuel. Our EVs are fully charge with our home solar.
Tesla Model 4 🤔😅
How is the Aryia compared to the Tesla btw?
@@itselectricvideos In terms of power and charging speed, Tesla is way ahead. The bad about the tesla, the glass roof heats up your head on sunny days. The ride is rough and cabin noise is loud once you go over 75 mph. Seats are uncomfortable and you drive with one eye on the display. The Ariya drive like a well equipped ICE car. Comfortable ride, two display and a HUD unit. Comfortable seats and superior all around option makes this my preferred EV. The bad...slow charging and outdated navigation are the worst issues along with non existent support from Nissan. After 8 months on the market not a single software update. I got the tax rebate otherwise the car would have been way overpriced.
@@dchow007 I Wonder how many Ariya there are out there. I have only seen a few, so at least here it's not popular.
@@itselectricvideos not popular. Nissan took too long for delivery. I ordered the car in mid-2021 and took delivery in April 2023. In the USA, there was a tax incentive of $7500 but it went away in late 2022. Several other cars such as ID4 and Tesla are cheaper and they still have the tax incentive. The Ariya overpriced by $10K . Love the car but the tech such as navigation sucks. I have been to several Nissan dealers... poor customer service at most of them.

Extremely Impressive and Epic... I Love it.
Love the Fisker Ocean. Such a beautiful car.
I agree. Have you seen one live?
Looks nice. Great features. I'd like to hear more about Fisker battery swap infrastructure. Battery swap, two way charging and the luxury features are going to be game changers for Fisker. I'd get one of the second year model but not the first. Gotta have my Harmon Kardon.
Have you seen the Nio battery swap video we've made?
NIO CEO: "Our new Battery Swap System will CHANGE the Car Industry!"
th-cam.com/video/l6x--OD4tOg/w-d-xo.html
I think battery swap is so cool. You can swap to a battery with better range in the future, not buy a New car. I love this.
@@itselectricvideosMy concerns are how does it effect your battery warranty?
Batteries degrade differently, I do not want to swap my battery that I take care of for a battery that has not been treated properly.
I feel like the constant disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will increase wear on parts and connections which could lead to failure.
With dc fast charging technology constantly improving ( we are already seeing 15min 20-80% charge times) it wont be long before we will have 10-5 minute 20-80% charge times which would compare to the battery swap time.
The idea of changing range is a positive though.
I'm wishing the best and hope they are successful as competition is always a good thing. I'm confused about where you got 440 Miles of range on the Extreme Version? I haven't heard or seen them mention a number like that ever and have been following since the announcement. Just curious if I missed something as I didn't find anything online on their site or third-party sites mentioning anything above 360 miles(this of course is still a very good number).
Hi, Greg. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You can find more about that here for instance:

@@itselectricvideos oh WLTP estimate! Ok.
So clarification there’s no actual EPA rated range beyond the official EPA range of 360? Correct. Just trying to get on the same page. If there’s a version I’m missing I’d love to know. As I’d wait for an even longer range. Even though over 300 on a crossover SUV is perfect for most people.

The video just started, and I already want one! Mission accomplished 😊
🤩 So cool. Do you have an ev yourself now?
The reason Tesla abandoned battery swapping was due to the fact that they offered a warranty on the battery you had with the car. Nio and Fisker will have a different policy. If you take care of your battery, it'll last longer. There are pros and cons to it. Now Fisker has to build out the swapping network. Good luck with that.
The Main advantage with battery swapping is for me that you can upgrade your car when you need more range, and also when there is new battery technology you can upgrade with it. I know there is a lot of still nice ev's (Nissan Leaf) thats sent to the scrap dealer because of battery degredation. If they just could get a New battery they would be fine, but it costs to much to replace it
@@itselectricvideos you commented in your video that you did not know the reason why Tesla abandoned battery swapping. Like I said there are pros and cons to swapping. Not only are battery swapping facilities more expensive and take more time to install. Tesla has 45,000 Superchargers worldwide, and installs new ones weekly. The charging times get faster and faster. 15 minutes 200 miles. Let's see if Fisker margins will allow them to build out a robust swapping network. Anyway most EV owners charge at home. The average American commutes 41 miles a day to and from work. 76.4% of U.S. workers drive alone to work.
@@itselectricvideos I also invest in Nio. I'll watch and wish Fisker all the best this time around. The most important thing is building great cars and scaling up to get great margins.
I think Nio will be the one Chinese ev Company that will succeed. They are delivering luxury cars for a lot less money than other cars with the same spec. But we will see.
I've tried the ES8 and it was so great, but unfortunately I Cant Afford a car like that
@@itselectricvideosToo expensive, that's why I think BYD has a lot more chances to be successful. They're not a startup, they build there own excellent batteries and they already have a foot in America
Nice ride...what about those in the east coast? Are there battery swapping stations there?
There's very little info about power swapping available, so I guess it will take time before it eventually will be available at all. I will update with a New video in the future when any info available
thank you! @@itselectricvideos
Magna is kicking ass
Took delivery today of an Ocean One and WOW!!! I absolutely love it!!!
So cool. Any issues? Is the Infotainment buggy?
Swaping keeps your battery newer so you never have to get gauged for new battery like tesla
Let's do a thought experiment. Assuming Fisker will swap 100 batteries a day, you need to have them available and charged in different ranges, etc. This is per charging station. So let's say you want to have 100 stations, that means 10,000 extra battery packs, just for swapping. And if technology changes, people will want the latest tech, so then you have to arrange to upgrade them all. I don't see it happening.
Watching this 9 months later , this clip did not aged well...
😆
The only issue I see here is distrust. This is but a commercial and REAL usage will reveal several important issues; such as real range, charge time, quality of components, solar charging capability, parts, price, service availability, and technology applications. Previously the company has not been able to be successful in the USA. I could continue but for now we need boots on the ground. 😊
I guess we will find out in the near future. Lots of new owners will hopefully share their experience
Do you have an ev yourself?
Price, range, style, handling, reliability is what most people want. Build it, they will buy it.
So do you think the Fisker Ocean meets your criterias?
@@itselectricvideos they are off to a good start. If they hold up like most Toyota’s, they will be successful. Cadillac and Lincoln lost the market because their vehicles break down. Also,I think people are holding back on electric vehicles because the infrastructure needs to be built.
what about the charging network?
Ok, a longer answer on this is: Fisker has partnered with ChargePoint in North America to provide extensive public charging solutions. This partnership gives Fisker drivers access to more than 210,000 active charging ports, including over 16,700 DC fast charge ports and 400,000 roaming ports. Drivers can easily find these stations via the central touchscreen of their vehicle or the ChargePoint mobile app, which also allows them to filter for DC fast charge locations and plan EV routes. This makes the Fisker Ocean, with its range of about 350 miles, viable for longer journeys 🎉📈🔋

Obviously, a very ambitious car. I'm skeptical, but at the same time I wish them every success. If they can produce this vehicle to spec and in quantity, they'll have a big success on their hands.
I agree. Do you own an ev yourself now?
@@itselectricvideos I have never owned a car, and I am now 66 years old. My main method of transportation is a bicycle, and I'm fortunate enough to live in a city where cycling is practical for about 350 days a year (we don't get much snow in Vancouver most winters). We also have a good bus system, and a high number of GPS tracked shared cars, so I can use a car when I really need one.
If I could afford it, I would buy an electric vehicle--either a Model 3 or the KIA EV6. But the only garage where I live is already occupied by my landlord's BMW i3--a fantastic EV if you don't mind its very limited range. It is so well thought out and so much fun to drive. (My landlord is also a good friend; we should all be so lucky!)
@@eyesuckle Oh, you are Lucky! Money saved and also gaining good health with your cycling 🤩💪
We live in Norway, so not so easy in the winter without a car. But as we speak they are Actually going to offer free public transport here in my City. An amazing thing to do that might help solve some of the trafic problems 📈
@@eyesuckle MY first ev was a Nissan Leaf and it was so amazing to go from ise to that car. But now the range on it was to bad, so we bought a Tesla Model Y RWD. Im not sure how it will work in the winter, but I Hope its ok 😅
@@itselectricvideos Good luck! I'm sure that even in Norway's extreme cold, your Tesla will retain more than enough range for every day driving. I've often wondered if having your battery refrigerated for much of the year (especially during charging) extends its overall life. If so, that might be a real benefit to balance your reduced winter range.
The EX 90 out classes Fisker big time.
I really have to make a video about the EX90. Ive allready got a video where I compare it with Polestar 3 btw:

🎉🤩 Have you got a time estimate for delivery?
amped with my order, I'm in NZ and nothing has been said about us :(
Yes it's sweet and I'm very glad that they're pushing the range further than Tesla is. It's great competition but... unless they can actually build them in decent quantities, it's Irrelevant to Tesla. Model Y is the best selling vehicle on the planet now.
Btw, where would I get it fixed if my car gets run into like my last one? Fisker should also look at installing NACS on their North American vehicles.
This is the info I found:
Your Fisker Ocean will be serviced and maintained by Fisker service partners at special service centers or by mobile technicians.
Do you have a Tesla yourself?
I think when it comes to Europe all we really need is maybe still a bit more range (to cover winters) and lower prices, supercharging is already at pretty insane levels with newest chargers. But I would be a happy man if 300 miles were standard range and we had price parity with ICE in all segments at least. Of course other unknown is batteries but there are taxi Teslas who have done 200k miles with little degradation, there are also of course lemons, time will tell... In Europe most people do not go that long distances and usually they also do not buy cars to cover every possible necessity in life. In USA it will be harder, maybe not as many people cover long distances too but there are some more extreme driving and people tend to buy a lot of trucks just to cover all the possible needs they might have with a car, towing and hauling etc. So it will not go as easy, the transition, in USA.
Battery exchange is a game changer for EVs. I saw a video on this technology a while back and wondered why more EVs didn't do this. This eliminates the charging time, range and battery life a non-issue. More EVs manufacturers should adapt this.
I totaly agree. You've seen my video about Nio's new battery swap system?
th-cam.com/video/l6x--OD4tOg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eCdSMC5UWP6rZ2vx
For most people charging time is a non issue now, my furthest drive in my car is 300 km which I do somewhat frequently (186 miles), I can fully charge Model Y at home and it will easily do this, even if it does not in colder winter, it will maybe take 10 mins supercharging to top it up as much as I need along the route for my trips. Swapping is a good thing, but it incurs extra charges as it is not free foe example from NIO, you pay extra for battery every month
I am a Fisker Ocean One reservation holder that is getting frustrated and moving towards anger because Fisker, Inc. is not communicating effectively at all. The lack of any communication on top of slipping promised delivery timeframes has me unable to plan or even project what might happen or even when. Fisker, Inc. won’t return emails and they won’t return phone calls, they won’t give delivery dates and timelines and at this junction, I am ready to find out how many reservation holders want their money back. I am unable to plan accordingly because no dates have come to fruition. I don’t know if I should sell my current car and when that would be appropriate because Fisker won’t effectively communicate. Everything is haphazardly being done and with no communications or responses from Fisker, Inc.; it does not reference well. I don’t know if we are now looking at Q3 or Q4 2023 deliveries or is it now sometime in 2024. Fisker has to do a better job estimating timelines and communicating more effectively with us reservation holders.
Oh, thats bad. Not heard anything more from them?
I really understand your frustration.
I ordered a Tesla Model Y RWD last year and the estimated delivery date was changing all the time, but just within a couple of months. We sold our Tesla Model 3 before we got it, but have an old Nissan Leaf as car nr 2, so we had no problems with that.
I really Hope they will sort things out and that the communication will be better. They really should get an estimation date on their website like Tesla now that they have got more experience with production and deliveries.
They will not fix anything. Stop dreaming. Fisker is well on his way to bankruptcy for the 3rd time. And no! The roof doesn't recherge the battery. Fisker admitted it.

EV Battery swapping isn't new and Nio did not pioneer it. Tesla tested that process years before Nio but chose to build out their charging network instead.

Weren't they having problems with liquidity? And their partnership with Taiwanese firm Hon Hai is on rocky ground. As for the battery swapping technology, there are some issues with safety for the swapped battery. Since it can be swapped, it might be prone to damage.

WHAT'S your favorite ev design wise?
You ask why I wouldn't own this car... I don't want to be dependent on a swap station when charging at home wouldn't most likely be cheaper and definitely more convenient.
You mean it would most likely be cheaper, not wouldn't? 😅
But the battery swap is just an option to ude when you need to charge fast. You can charge at home just as you would do with a Tesla etc.
Do you have en ev today?
@@itselectricvideos Yes, a typo (wouldn't) I don't remember "charging at home" ever being mentioned in the video. Yes, I do own one of the early "compliance" ev's. A 2016 Kia Soul, and I love it even though (depending on how cold it is) the 80 to 120 mile range sucks. Also, I believe CHAdeMO is on its way out, and where that will leave me... who knows. Lastly, just like all the other EV manufacturers, I have little doubt that the prices you quoted will ever see the light of day. It's nothing more than price hype.
The battery swap will be for commercial customers, fleets.
Yeah, I saw that. But dont you think that if this is a success, they will also do the same for the ev's to ordinary customers?

Well, I've only heard that they will get swappable batteries by 2024, so not much more info than that. Tesla is of course far ahead, but it will be interesting to see how a possible swap system will do over there. @@itselectricvideos can they really install that many swapping stations? Much larger footprint, and way more expensive to manage and maintain.
iwould to own but can effort

China's Nio cuts prices, ends free battery swapping as sales slide
Oh, I saw that as well. I Wonder if something will happen elsewhere as well 🤔
Probably won't be available in Canada for one reason or another...
Another gorgeous fantasy...only destined for the scrapyard, just like all his other fantasies...

Al these "wonderful, cutting edge" dreams are just that, dreams.. just check his track record...😳
Come on already, do this after they've delivered a few thousand...
This dude is one of the best fantasy artist that's ever walked the planet...

😂More like Fisker humiliates itself!!!
So, not a vif fan of him, I guess? 😅 I think the Car looks amazing and like the concept. But have no idea about the Build quality etc.
@@itselectricvideos More like not a fan of the headlines….How many Ocean’s have been delivered this year? Not sure who they would be humiliating….

Have they sold one yet?
Yes, they have 😅👍 There are more and more videos here on youtube by owners of the Fisker Ocean.
Or did you mean the Fisker Ocean One?
@@itselectricvideosFOO.
NOPE, ONLY ONE REAL OWNER POST ON TH-cam WAS VERY BAD.
But you carry on trying to sell them.
I heard deliverys will be here in my country, Norway, This coming week. So I guess someone have bought it? 😅

Fisker Ocean Performance is 3.9
@@itselectricvideos right, you said 6
Ohh. I thought it was the base sport version I said that about 😅? The Performance is 3.9
I want the EV that costs less than $20k.

This makes Teslas look like station wagons.
😅 Well. I love the design og Tesla Model Y to be fair, but this One is so beautiful
Dude, I WISH someone made an EV/ShootingBrake… I LOVE my VW 2.0T/6speed MT Sportwagen
Where are the third party reviews from highly respected publications like Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and German Auto Publications? Henrik and Fisker Fan Boys gush with enthusiasm, however they are not objective. The third party reviews should have occurred two months ago. What is Fisker hiding? I have a Fisker Extreme on order, but I am growing concerned.
I've watched a few videos about the product, but most of them have only showcased its exterior and interior from a stationary perspective. I'm eager to see more footage of it in action outside. I believe once they start delivering to the general public, we'll get a better glimpse of its capabilities. By any chance, do you have an estimated timeframe for when they will begin deliveries? I'm really looking forward to experiencing it firsthand.
Where are these battery swap locations . Do they have an infrastructure in place already? Not buying it.
Thank you for your comment! Fisker has partnered with Ample for battery swapping technology. The infrastructure is in early stages but aims to grow. It’s essential for EV success, and your skepticism is valid. I’ll cover any updates in future videos. Hope to see you there!
Gotta see real life usages and wait at least a year or 2 to fully grasp the quality of the car. So for now, ill stick to tesla
Yeah, that might sound like a smart thing to do. But its also Nice to have a car thats unique and new, unless there are many problems.
@itselectricvideos I agree uniqueness is important for some ppl and I do love the car and it's many features.
Battery swapping won't work. Think about it. Tesla did. At least Fisker won't need Tesla's SC network. But they'd better start building the 1000's of swap shops they'll need.
Hahahaha yeah right....Fisker??? How many bankruptcies did he go through? Swap shops???? You have a better chance of seeing Elvis.
😂 Hey, give the man a chance to Finally shine. I love the Car and Hope they make it this time.
I'm buying its share..thank you very much
No Financial Advice from me 😅👍
Sorry, sorry, sorry! In Denmark and - Israel we had a system named "Better Place" which managed to built many battery changing stations round Denmark, which would change rented batteries in - minutes on a, sadly single, large Renault model! The Firm B.P. never managed to make other Brands join the system, as hoped for, so when Renault decided they wouldn't make this model any more, it became stone dead!!!
Oh, This was new for me. When was this?
it is fast, going out of business
So Actually Game Over then?
😅
Why does EV companies aim their sales pitch towards other EV companies? If they all realize that nearly all of their sales will come from ICE owners making the transition to clean energy vehicles.
Trying to steal sales from one another seems a waste of time when the overwhelming majority of EV customers have to be lured away from gas guzzlers, not EV companies that have already lured away early adopters from the ICE market.
Yeah, I guess you are right. But thats how the world works, I guess. "The best defence is to attack" or something.
But what about you, do you own an EV?
@@itselectricvideos I do. A 2020 Model Y long range w fsd beta package.
@@cinemuh Cool. Happy with the FSD? We're not allowed using FSD where I live.
@@itselectricvideos absolutely happy with it. Uses it on 95% of my drives. It's truly amazing.
Oh. Thats cool. I Hope that it will be allowed in Norway as well in the future, but I guess we need to change a few things with the roads in regards to marking etc before that happens, because now its not working as it should now and then.
