    Is this for the prison service RAD/ARC or the police RAC? I have done both and this seems more like the police RAC as you play as a customer service officer at a shopping centre. The prison service you play as a prison officer

    Hi I'm glad I watched this video, I'm guessing you work within the prison system. Most of the videos & scenarios I've looked over are the way I would approach any situation. I've thought of a career in the prison services around 10yrs ago but was too scared and shy. As I'm now gathering its more of a supportive role to prisoners who have messed up in some manner of speaking. I'm 29 now but nothing has really changed for my assertiveness. Is this it for me or could on the job experience improve my role I'd take. or the original fear being would the day to day task of working with 'bad people' change my morale code.

    • @CareerVidz
      @CareerVidz  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi John,
      The role of a prison officer is extremely diverse and you will need to handle extremely pressurised and often confrontational scenarios. There are many core competencies which you will be assessed on as to whether you would be suitable for this job role.
      For more information regarding the process and what to expect, please check out the following link: www.how2become.com/careers/prison-officer/

    What happens if you fail the RAD then, can you do it again??

    • @oweno2045
      @oweno2045 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think if you’re close to passing, but have not passed, they ask you to come back and try it again. If you fail again you have to wait 6 months to re-apply.
