    Yes, credit card is a sick. It'll attract people to spend more which is beyond their limits. Always avoid taking that, borrow money from someone you know instead of getting credit card. Save money for emergency fund to avoid credit card. Don't fall in the trap of credit card.

  • @andypham6335

    Short answer: Credit cards are haram unless from an Islamic bank, because you sign a contract to pay riba if you miss a payment.
    If there are no Islamic banks near you, just use a debit card.

  • @watvid1
    @watvid1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    That is a very valid point, even if you just take out the credit card you have to sign to agree you will pay interest which is haram. My question is, I'm looking to get a credit card in UK so I'm protected under section 75 for purchases above £100, if they aren't delivered or are broken, the credit card company will also be responsible. I don't think Islamic banks here do credit cards

    • @dijabelle8348
      @dijabelle8348 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’ll only pay interest if u take credit and will not be able to pay back. That’s when they start to charge you. So don’t risk it if you can’t pay back simple

    • @amerkiller1995
      @amerkiller1995 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isnt it logically not to use it if you follow islam. Just like keeping your money in a Savings account that offers interest, taking a home loan to buy a house, etc. Any activity that involves taking or paying interest is haram in islam. One does not have to wait for Zakir Naik to realise this thing. Anyways now that you realised you should cancel your Savings bank account and any loans you took too.

    I have a question
    If debit card is halaal, when u withdraw the money there is some charges (withdrawal charges) is dat withdrawal charges halal or haram?

    • @fouziayameen7023
      @fouziayameen7023 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you withdraw from same bank there is no charges, but if you withdraw from other bank then charges applied, this is because bank reserved money for their own customer card holders but it is also available for everyone, so when you swip from thier 🏧 they have to access your data from your bank so in simple words they are arranging funds for you even you are not their customer
      So as we all know
      Soud is money against money
      So here services are involved as they are not giving you extra money or borrow money, according to my knowledge islam give permission money against goods/services is Halal

    Um So If I sign a document to take a credit card and in doing so I am accepting that if I don't pay in time I will have to pay Riba to a conventional bank - thus taking a credit card is haram - and I am waging a war with Allah and Muhammad PBUH - then when you have said I am allowed to open a current account in a conventional bank - a current account that doesn't give me interest on my money in it, if that is allowed according to your logic Mr Zakir - what about the conventional bank that has access to my 0 interest funds and uses those funds to earn money by issuing loans, investing in riba based assets. I might not be making Riba income but I am aiding and abetting the bank to earn Riba income through my 0 cost funds to the bank. Remember a bank uses deposits to issue out loans or make investments. Savings accounts just allow for some of the returns a bank makes to to be passed on to the depositor - Isn't the idea to avoid any partake of RIBA - either taking it or essentially giving it out or aiding someone else in it. Zakir your logic is flawed or your research is lacking.

    • @rzlb5
      @rzlb5 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not flawed and what you had said is true too. Zakir talks about the "darurah" situation where you still need to use the banking system. It is like in football, open an account in a conventional bank is like you commit a foul play, using the interest earned from your savings account is like getting the yellow card, and taking mortgage or credit card is like getting a red card.
      If we are talking about purity, then using fiat money can be considered as haram. Most scholars (including Zakir) would acknowledge that but they also would allow it under the context of "darurah". What else can we do.....
      It is in the hadith or so (I do not remember it clearly) it said that at the end of time even the best among you cannot get away from the slightest form of riba. For sure it is about using the current fiat monetary system.

    • @zehash
      @zehash 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      rzl you don’t need the banking system. You can keep your money at home . Zakir is an absolutist not a relativist. Give me an example where u want to use the banking system. If such an example exists I can use a credit card and pay on time to avoid riba using the same logic

    Daily Reminder: Try to supplicate this dua every single day to become a habit.
    1. Dua That Guarantees You Forgiveness (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
    Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) said:
    "Whoever gets up at night and says:
    La ilaha 'illa Allaahu, wahdahu la shareeka
    lahul mulku, wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer.
    Subhana allaahi, wal hamdu lillaahi, wa la illaaha ila Allaah,
    wa Allaahu akbar, waLa hawla wa la quwwata illa billaah.
    There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allah Alone,
    He has no partners, He has the Dominion and for Him is all praise,
    and He is capable of all things, praise is for Him,
    and Far is Allah from imperfection,
    and There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allah,
    and Allah is the Greatest,
    there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allah.
    "Then he says:
    Allaahumma aghfirlee.
    O Allah forgive me!
    Or he supplicates and his supplication is answered,
    and if he makes Wudhu and prays, then his prayer is accepted.
    2. Dua That Guarantees You Jannah (Sahih Al-Jami, An-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban)
    Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) said:
    "Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi, verse 255 from chapter number 2,
    Surat Al Baqarah after every obligatory prayer,
    then nothing is stopping him or her from entering Jannah,
    except one thing: Death."
    3. Dua That Wipe Away Sins (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Muslim, At-Tirmidhi)
    Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) said:
    "Whoever says:
    Subhana allaahi, wa bihamdih
    How far from imperfections Allah is, and I praise Him.
    "a hundred times during the day, his sins are wiped away,
    even if they are like the foam of the sea."
    4. Phrases That Are Heavier On The Scales Than An Entire Morning Of
    Recitation (Sahih Muslim)
    Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) said:
    "I recited four words three times after I had left you.
    If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning,
    these will be heavier." These are:
    Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, 'adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi,
    wa zinatah 'arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi.
    Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise,
    as many times as the number of His creatures,
    in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne
    and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words
    (for His Praise).
    5. Dua To Stay On The Right Path (Sahih Muslim)
    Ya musarrifa-l quloobi sarrif qalbi ala ta’atik.

    'amman siwaaka
    O, Allah! Suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You
    have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.
    9. Dua Of The Treasures Of Paradise (Sahih Al-Bukhari, At-Tirmidhi)
    Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) said:
    "Shall I not tell you of a word which is one of the treasures of
    Paradise?"
    La hawla wa la quwaata illa billah
    There is no power and no strength except with Allah.
    10. Dua To Literally Boost Your Energy
    Before you sleep recite:
    Subhana allaah 33x, Alhamdulilah 33x,

    earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
    12. Dua To Get Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) Help in Yawm Al Qiyamah
    (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
    Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) said:
    "Whoever says the following, after hearing the call of adhan,
    the call of prayer I will intercede for them yawm al qiyamah."
    Allaahumma Rabba haathihid-da 'watit-taammati wassalaatil-qaa'imatah,
    Aati Muhammadanil-waseelata walfadheelah, Wab 'ath-hu
    maqaamam-mahmoodanil-lathee wa'adtah.

    that is about to be established, grant Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
    al waseela, Resurrect him with that status, that is so praise worthy,
    which you have already promised.
    13. Dua Forgiveness All Believers
    Allahumma ighfir lil muslimeena wal-muslimaat, wal-mu'mineena
    wal-mu'minaat, al-ahyaa'i minhom wal-amwat.
    O, Allah! forgive the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men
    and the believing women, the alive from them and the dead.
    14. Benefits Reciting Surah Ikhlas
    - Reciting 3 times a day is equivalent to reciting the whole Qur'an.
    - Reciting 10 times a day and Allah will build for him a house in paradise.
    15. Sayyidul Istighfar (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Sahih Al-Jami, At-Tirmidhi)
    Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH) said: If somebody recites this invocation
    (given below) during the day, and if he should die then, he will be
    from the people of Jannah. And if he recites it in the night, and if he
    should die on the same day, he will be from the people of Jannah.”
    Allahuma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana 'Abduka, wa ana
    'ala 'ahdika wa wa 'dika mastata 'tu, A 'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu,
    abu'u Laka bini'matika'alaiya, wa abu'u laka bidhanbi faghfir lee fa innahu
    la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta.
    O, Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You
    created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my convenant and my
    promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have
    done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me,
    and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for
    nobody can forgive sins except You.
    16. Dua For Protection From Shirk

  • @abdullahtahseen602
    @abdullahtahseen602 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I disagree with his opinion. No one can say that credit cards are halal. I agree with this. As Dr. Zakir said, even if you pay on time. You are still risking making riba due to the fact that you signed a contract that includes it. But my issue with this opinion. Is that the Quran itself in Surrah Al Baqarah verse 173, says if you are forced to do something haram and there is absolutely no other alternative. Then you will not be punished. In some countries, credit cards are a must to live a normal life and do some basic things like rent a car, rent a home, hotel..etc. In this case, you can use a credit card as long as you will pay it in time and as long as you have no other alternatives. Lastly, I would like to say, Dr. Zakir’s sometimes goes very extreme in his views. God doesnt expect us to be 100% perfect. This is why there is religion to guide us in the first place. No need to be extreme in everything. We all agree its haram or forbidden. But sometimes you are forced to do something for a good reason. If you personally decide to force yourself to not get a credit card and sacrifice those things in life. Then congratulations, you are great mashallah. But for those, who cant sacrifice for a reason or another, it is permissible by the Quran to do it as long as they have no alternatives. (Please refer to the Verse 2:173)

    • @Islam-gy9lj
      @Islam-gy9lj 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think there are alternatives. You can use cash or debit card.
      If it is really impossible then I would say it is better to have a credit card but only use it when you need to or when you really have to and don't use it to buy normal things which can be done with cash or debit card. This is just my opinion.
      And also we have to be as perfect as we can because we will be held accountable for every bad deed we commit.
      And of course Allah knows best.

      The answer is very simple brother.. Being a lawyer make you supporting some rules for judging between people.. If these rules are against shariah or in another words against Koran and sunnah then it is prohibited to judge or defend according to these rules because it is mentioned in the Koran
      [4:65. But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.]
      If you can be a lawyer in India and do your job according to Koran and sunnah or at leat not against them, then go for it and defend oppressed people.

    I disagree with 2 things in this video. This is the exactly reason for why whole ummah is poor and has no own defense and has lost humanity. 1. It's haram to take riba. Not to give riba. At least it's not written in Koran. 2. Modern banking were created around 1800 interest rate we are paying today are the cost/risk of lending money. Not exploitation of other humans. In fact. In many muslim countries in fact having not an uppertunity is more dangerous. They sell their daughters as prostitutes because of the poverty. 3. ZERO INTEREST RATE and RIBA are different. If zero interest rate. Meaning it does cost not to borrow money. Will create mega hyperinflation. Even negative interest rate or zero is still interest rate in the economy sense.
    4. Credit card is not good. Because it charges a great interest rate. It's exploitation. But conventional bank loan to buy something/ products which are secured. Should be allowed. Why? Because in that sense poor people will get opportunities to buy houses. Instead of living on the streets. 5. Modern interest rates to the industry has created all the products which Sir Zakir is using. Because it's almost impossible to start a factory without a bank loan. Planes he travels with, buildings he lives in. 6. This hadith about mother is false! I don't believe prophet could have said that nonsense! 7. In future there will be no Muslim countries. If Muslims don't apply modern banking which is fair. (two percent above the state banks interest level). Because to create a good national defense requires an healthy industry which has incentives to create new products. Only with interest rates you can motivate people with that. Especially in these days. Where weapons get old in very fast speed. It's very high tech world now. 8. Again. It's not written somewhere. That we can't give interest rates to anyone. 9. Modern banks are often a corporation. Not an human. And they often has initially borrowed money from the government. Which again belongs to the people. Also you. If you live in this particular country. So, if you borrow from you. And give to yourself. It's not in reality borrowing with interest rate. 10. Credit is modern worlds blood in the economy. If no credit. All world will go back to 1500. There will be no development in any medicines. No factories. Only handcrafts. 11. Please, all ummah, should think together. And create an economic system. Which will give people incentive to stand up from the bed and go to the work. And make a product. Which someone need. 12. No humans should take interest rates of other humans. But if in need. You can give. For example in a foreign country. 12. And lastly. Modern bank system with interest rate deletes poverty! So you can have more time to pray. In 1900 not many millionaires. In 2020 many 1000 millionaires. Interest rate system/ capitalism give jobs to the people. Please dear ummah open your brain. Or their will be no Muslim countries. But many Muslims in non Muslim countries. Because only there the life will be better. Because they will be using interest rate system. 13. Is Riba same as modern interest based loan. I think No. What you think? At the end of the day we must have ijtima on all matters. If ijtima. Then it'd halal. Not only Sir Zakirs fatwa.

    You forgot to include visa debit cards which give one the ability to purchase online through vendors in a similar way to credit cards, but the funds are not borrowed from the bank, and instead are drawn from your linked debit bank account. Another issue with debit cards if you follow the haram/halal conditions is that it is still possible to overdraw debit accounts and incur interest and nsf funds. Does that possibility also make debit accounts haram?
