I agree, the original The Stand was much closer to the book and had that unique atmosphere that’s hard to recreate. And 12 Monkeys - absolutely brilliant! It’s amazing how well they captured the complexities of time travel and created such a gripping story.
Yes! 12 Monekys, brilliant. Less so the TV series. Haven’t seen the last man on earth but it looks interesting. H+ another one I have to see. I loved the 100 but the last season was diluted and more formulaic. Still good entertainment. I loved number 3, the last of us, not so sure about the upcoming season but will give it a go. Of course the walking dead is a classic. The original TWD was by far the better series, groundbreaking. Alas it did loose its way towards the end. It was poor writing and silly plot changes the contributed to its demise. Silo has made a reasonable adaption from books to screen. I hope it stays faithful to the integrity of the original stories.
You’ve got great taste! I totally agree, 12 Monkeys is a gem, even if the series didn't fully capture the original’s magic. The Last Man on Earth offers a different, more humorous take on the apocalypse - worth a try. I had mixed feelings about The 100’s final season too - it lost a bit of its unique edge but still delivered. The Last of Us was an emotional ride, so it’ll be interesting to see how they expand the story in the next season. And The Walking Dead… a classic, no doubt! The end was a bit disappointing, but it set the bar for years. I hope Silo stays true to the source material and keeps up the tension.
I thought 12 Monkeys was decent, held my attention, Silo was of course, fantastic, I love it when they don;t f*ck up the book with a sh1tty adaptation!
You're absolutely right - Fallout is an obvious omission! It definitely deserves a spot on this kind of list. Don’t worry, I’m planning a second part, and Fallout will definitely be included. Thanks for the reminder!
I totally agree, Last Man on Earth had such a unique vibe, and the way they portrayed life in isolation was so well done and surprising. It’s a shame we never got a final season - that last episode and cliffhanger left us with so many questions. We can only imagine how the story might have unfolded
You're right! Many of these are classics that have been remade or reimagined. Sometimes old stories are so strong they're worth revisiting, though the originals often have their unique charm. Do you have a favorite version of any of these - the original or the remake?
I'll be able to survive it and all of those Apocalypse, except for developers were on the unlucky ones that got sick. Except for one thing, all the last man on earth, I think I would be bored. I'll be bored half out of my mind. I'll be nothing to do except for I'll be having to be busy having to feed myself, but there's tons of pretty last for years. So I Don'. T have to worry about that. Except rod, when does all the food start spoiling? Gonna have to worry about that so basically I have a whole bunch of food but it's all getting spoiled really, really quickly so it won't be very good. So I'll have to manufacture if you have any port so Lisa I'll have to be not lazy. Well, at least I don't have survive.
Sounds like you’ve got a survival plan all worked out! 😉 You’re right, the solitude of Last Man on Earth style could be challenging, especially with boredom and having to deal with food spoiling. You’d definitely have to get creative to manage - maybe even producing your own food like in those survival shows! Sounds like you’re prepared for anything!
I totally agree, Y: The Last Man had such an interesting storyline and so much potential. It’s a shame it ended after just one season, as there was so much more to explore! Sometimes shows like this need more time to really hit their stride. Hopefully, they’ll revisit the idea someday.
Thanks ❤
The original stand was 100 times better and closer to the book
As for 12 monkeys that was absolutely brilliant

Always good choices👍
Thanks! Glad you like the choices! 👍 If you have any recommendations of your own, I'd love to hear them - always great to discover new titles!
@bestmovies-wg1rq your suggestions mostly less known movies or series🙏ım interested in post apo. and survivor-horror genres bro. thank you
One obvious ommission..."Fallout"

It will probably be in the second part, because there are more cool American postapo series
I loved Last Man on Earth. It’s too bad they never got a final season. The last episode ended on an interesting cliffhanger.

A lot of these aren't new and actually really really old series or movies that have been remade....
Like the stand

The 100 series is masterpiece but in english🙄🙄
I really got into Y: The Last Man. Too bad it only got the most the season.
