It is crazy how Juan Manuel Marquez survived those 3 knockdowns in the first round. Although it is said Manny hurt his left hand in the process and had to endure the pain the whole fight. Seeing Marquez with a bloody nose is like a preview to the Pacquiao-Marquez 4 fight. Where Marquez yet again survived and finally got the KO victory. Time flies, I can't believe this was 19 years ago.
The same thing happened to Morales… you notice after the 3rd knockdown, he’s not hurt, he’s frustrated. Even for even a second, he probably thought of calling it quits. It makes you mad. You’re not hurt, but you keep falling. Unfortunately, Morales said “I’m done”. I’m glad Marquez didn’t. Though 3 knockdowns in a row, whether your hurt or not, will just DESTROY any confidence you’ve ever had.
This really was a historic fight. Pacquiao crashed in on the Mexican Triad in the lightweight divisions and challenged everyone. Marquez was being avoided by both Barrera and Morales but Manny simply did not care about losing. By fighting all these different styles, he became the best in the division and eventually a world class boxer.
In another perspective, Juan Manuel Márquez was NEVER afraid of Pacquiao unlike countless others. Always felt he was robbed, so he chased Pacquiao throughout his career until he got his convincing win. Amazing.

The opening round here was the most spectacular round in Manny's career. Pacquiao's lightning fast left straight was in full display here putting Marquez on the seat of his pants 3 times and it can't get any better than this. Awesome.
It’s funny; you can easily argue that either Pacquiao or Marquez should have won this fight - the one judge should have scored the first round 10-6, so Pacquiao got robbed. But Marquez also may have won 9 or 10 of the 12 rounds, so he sort of got robbed, at least by the 115-110 scorecard for Manny.
Facts. The 115-100 card was ridiculous. In my opinion, this was close to a draw, but could easily lean to Pacquiao slightly. My issue was with the 2nd and 3rd matches. Marquez improving in each, but getting scored worse was dumb.

@@ghoststealth3057 I'm not the biggest fan of neither 1 n this was my first time seeing the fight.
@@seandafnyi wouldn’t say dominated pacciauo knock ‘‘em down 3 times and then after that he gave a even fight not domination
@5:28 - In the business, we call this foreshadowing.
Marquez is one of my favorite fighters after years of evaluation. I love the Hispanic fighters.
This shouldn't be a draw. Pacman won this fight.
One Judge made a Mistake in Scoring Round 1. . . He scored 10-7 . . . it should be 10-6 for Pacquiao.
@@Bardamu3000 wrong
@@vicvega3614he's actually right
Doesn’t matter anyways, Marquez knocked him out and finished the rivalry.
@@mundoo8779still not finish😂😂
Remember the 1st fight is robbery😂😂 The judges admitted that Pacquiao got robbed😂😂
And second fight pacman dominated him 3rd fight pacman also won 4th fight is Lucky Marquez The gay nose was bleeding he almost lost
@@keynbas-wx1lx How did Marquez almost lost when he knocked Pacquiao into a concussion?
I had marquez winning an incredible comeback winning probably 9 or 10 rounds of the fight but a draw seemed reasonable
Judge is not fair.. Marquez has 3time knock down at round 1
Same here I had Marquez winning
Not sure how anybody can say Pacquiao won this fight; I saw him get schooled all through the fight by a superior technical boxer... I too agree with the announcer that Marquez was winning and won this fight...! In terms of the 3 knockdowns, none truly hurt Marquez; I attribute the knockdowns to Marquez being caught off-balance rather than Manny´s power...
Knowdowns has big impact on judges, and you wont be knocked down, if it didnt hurt you. Do you even have any idea what youre talking about?
@@ps-zb6dg Lol he doesn’t . He hasn’t replied to your comment because he knows you were correct.
Im not gonna argue he's not technical, but he cant execute that technicality without someone coming forward, so i wouldn't say he has "superior technicality " with manny in front of him, it just cancels it out, they cant both be counter punching while moving backwards Lol, he's simply a great counter puncher. Pays not to be Bias so you can see the world from a clearer neutral position.
I agree, Marquez schooled Pacquiao in this fight.
marquez survive becoz of memo steroids
manny is on steroids too.

No Pac-Man was the one that wasn’t willing to take drugs tests so he can fight Floyd, Marquez always took his drug tests.
@@mundoo8779 manny never looked a body builder marquez has memo who postive of peds!
the commentators expected marquez can't make it to the last minutes of the round,,but marquez catch it up ,,and make it all the way to the last,,very genius,,,,both great
22:51 why did the ref separate the two?!? Marquez slipped the left and turned Manny to the ropes gaining advantageous positioning!?! AND THE REF SPLITS THEM UP??!! BLASPHEMY!!!
Marquez thought the fight was over after the 3rd knock-down. He got up after he saw the ref counting.
This fight is like Goku vs Frieza, straight up brawl fight
Rob, rob, rob. You're not a real boxing fan if you keep saying that. One scorecard should have scored Pacquiao in the first round a little higher, and another scorecard should have given Marquez one or two rounds a bit higher. In a sense, both scorecards cancelled each others. Just watch the history, no need to feel bitter lmao.
Honestly, the fight should have just ended on the 1st round after the 3rd knockdown.
This is the fight where the winners are the viewers..

Robbed. The judge admitted after that he didn't understand he could score a 10-6. Really?!?!
That first round should have been a 10-4 round. 😂😂
No le hagamos caso a los jueces, ya salieron los resultados por medio de la inteligencia artificial, de las cuatro peleas, saludos.
Can you guys PLEASE upload more of Mike Tyson’s fights
Don't forget Floyd. TBE
