      Hello! I hope everything went well for you. My wife and I are going to do the same very soon. Was it easy to return home for you?

    Thanks for your video! I’m curious why you wanted to have your baby in Mexico if you didn’t plan to get permanent residency? Is it a safer, more comfortable or less expensive option than in your country?
    I’m considering because I would love for my baby to have dual citizenship, and I love Mexico! Just wondering. Thanks!

    Hello, thank you for making this video. Can you tell in which trimester of your pregnancy were you when you arrived in Mx and if they asked what was the reason for your visit? Thanks in advance!

      Hello, we arrived at the beginning of the 3rd trimester. Yes, they asked but not because I was pregnant. We said turism and they didn't seem to care about my pregnancy at all. Best, Dominika.

    If your daughter was born in Mexico, you now qualify for permanent residency.

    Super interesting. Thank you but it doesn’t take into account the whole experience with the accommodation and all. I guess my question is how much does it cost to spend three months in Mexico to have your baby there. If you have the answer, it would be very appreciated thanks

      We paid from 1000 to 1500 USD per month for accommodation (1 bedroom appartmants but they had everything we needed). We booked it through airbnb and moved every month because we didn't find anything that would be free for a longer time. It was not ideal and quite expensive but we lived in a very safe area and everything was in walking distance. Depends on what you are looking for.

      @@tomasanddominikayoy can pay half that for a perfectly decent, safe small apartment or house in Rosarito or Ensenada. You inflated your expenses beyond what is necessary. Please advise people of that.

    Hey! My wife will be giving birth in mexico! thank you for sharing your story. I am super interested in learning more about the difficulties trying to leave the hospital. What kind of paper work? and did you get your kid a mexican visa?? thanks

    • @brooklynstylee
      @brooklynstylee ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I obviously do not know about the hospital part but I can tell you (as a mexican) that babies born in Mexico are automatic citizens, therefore, they do not need to have a "Mexican Visa" since they are citizens from birth.

    • @eduardobaz6413
      @eduardobaz6413 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your baby is born in Mexico, in any part of Mexico he or she has the right for a Mexican Passport. In other words, she is Mexican.

    • @All_things_Daysi
      @All_things_Daysi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eduardobaz6413they are not worried about the Mexican passport, it's obvious that any person born in Mexico is a Mexican.
      They are probably wondering about the passport of their country.

      @@brooklynstylee and @zuleykavill thanks! Originally, what I meant was Mexican citizenship not "visa". I didn't hear them mention Mexican citizenship. So I wanted to hear about the process of getting them Mexican citizenship. I know it is automatic, but I think there is a process to get it. For example, getting a birth certificate and getting all the proper certified documents and registrations. That is what I was wondering about.

      Just in case, if your baby is born in Mexico the parents automatically receive the Mexican Permanent Resident.

    • @tomasanddominika
      @tomasanddominika  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The first you need to have a valid visa, find a gynaecologist right away and paediatrician ahead of the labor. Rent an apartment nearby your hospital if your preference is a natural child birth. Consult with the gynaecologist where and how. Once the baby is born you can go to Registro Civil to register your baby. Make sure you have all the paperwork and make copy of everything. Don't be discouraged if you don't get it done on the first go. After that you can ask for the baby's passport. Extra paperwork there :D But, it's worth it.

    Hello guys! Thank you very much for this video. We've visited a doctor here in Mexico and calculated the price of giving birth after that. It's about 7000 USD at least :)
    Could you explain, why did you choose Lindavista? Was it okay that you don't speak Spanish?
    And one more question: how did you choose obstetrician gynecologist for the birth?
    Or maybe we can contact you on Facebook? :)

    • @dominikapanik5182
      @dominikapanik5182 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That price is quite high. My gynecologist said it's usually around 60k Pesos. Which is around 3000 USD.
      Our friends recommended our doctor because I wanted natural birth and she was very good and was pro natural birth.
      Lindavista was a coincidence because that's where she had one of her offices and she needed to check my daughter's cord in the middle of the night.
      They were very nice there and they had one nurse that spoke English which was like a miracle. My doctor also spoke English well enough to coordinate :) But when I visited her for the first time, my friend went with me to translate.
      You can still get around with Google Translate but I definitely want to learn Spanish until next time.

      If you go with a doctor from a private hospital you need to consider that private hospitals will give you a diferent price beacuse some of them will sell you a "package" and the will charge you for everything(even if you dont use some services) and others will only charge you for the service that they give you, i reccomend you to check other hospital options in different cities and for sure you will find a lot of cheaper options with people that speak english and a great quality service.
