Playing the piano while singing is not easy, particularly when you're singing with someone else, and the piano part doesn't sound easy. He even turns his own pages! How amazing!

I think my favorite thing is that the Newsies were living in America at the end of a millennium and they were tight for money and basically this song totally applies to the Newsies too.
Cheyenne Brown well the newsboy strike happened in 1899 which was the end of that millennium. And rent took place at the end of the next millennium. At least thats how i see it.
Not to mention both stories include people hating new york city and wanting to go to santa fe, but inevitably stay in new york because their family and love interest are there

This performance is absolutely incredible. Ben really owns that piano and you can really feel how they are connecting together as performers. The harmonies were also flawless. Great key for both of them, and definitely appreciated the newsies interjections. BRAVO!

I am literally obsessed with this. It's just so beautiful, and how they intertwined Newsies with Rent, PERFECTION. I am in complete awe of how amazing Ben on the piano sounds, along with singing...AND THOSE HARMONIES, YES! This entire thing is my favorite thing, I love this.... (is there something wrong with me? probably. am I still going to watch this a thousand times each day? yes.)

Ben played the piano so easily, Corey also learnt to play piano for Bandstand and completely nailed it...
Meanwhile me: had a music class for 6 years in elementary school and still couldn't follow the musical notations resulting in me having to memorize them before performing.
