Dallas is a corporate center. It's all about money and power. But, that's not a bad thing, necessarily. Over, DFW is a great place to live. Lots of entertainment, golf courses and shopping.
I’ve been waiting for a DFW video! I’ve heard Frisco, Plano, and Mckinney are thriving burbs. I love the pride and appreciation people from Fort Worth have for their city! You won’t see any of that in most American cities, especially in California!
I was born in Bedford Texas and my family lived in North Richland Hills. Some things have changed in Fort Worth since the late 80’s, but a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Great job Nick I really enjoyed this episode.
Hey Nick. Native Dallas here. You're pretty spot on for the most part, as usual. The rivalry has pretty much faded away since Dallas and Ft. Worth have slowly expanded toward each other into the 3rd largest metro area in the country. I love Ft. Worth and I'm so glad they are hanging on to the Cowboy frame of mind for so long. Gorgeous cowgirls every where you look. Dallas is about to chase me out due to all the construction, gridlock, and I miss the old days of the Cowboys in the Super Bowl every other year.
I live 1- 1/2 hours southeast of Ft Worth. I love the DFW metroplex for shopping, The State Fair, museums, Six Flags, and eating, plus they both have some of the best hospitals in the world. I must say, although I love Dallas and Arlington, Fort Worth does have a certain special something about it. ❤
Finally!I live in north Dallas, and work closer to Ft Worth. I've been waiting for this video ever since I knew you were here..! I moved to Texas from Ohio. It is so funny to me hearing you call Dallas "fancy, flashy, wealthy and Shiny"😂😂 Ft Worth areas are no longer much cheaper.. people priced out of the Dallas areas headed to ft worth. Its getting expensive there too. Still less than Dallas but its catching up in cost fast, because everyone is headed there but still working in the Dallas area.

It's good to see that being embraced there. And it sure is good to see Nick Johnson finding a place more his speed. We all need that sometimes.
Great video! My high school marching g band and our rival high school's marching band were in the 1973 Cotton Bowl Parade and the buildings were tall but not like it is today. We landed at Love airport from Denver as DFW was just being built. Thanks for the memories.
I've been to Texas many times and I love the place! Great people, great food, lots of space unlike here in Chicago, and the folks are amicable and down to earth. One of my sons recently relocated to Houston. 🤠
The old song “I’m a little bit country, I’m a little bit rock n roll” reminds me of the dynamic of Fort Worth and Dallas. Dallas def has more hoods but we also have that grungy 1990s rock vibe,.. at least we used to!
Amazing example to set for how law enforcement should be. Part of the community, while still caring enough about the community to keep the streets clean and safe. I visited once and loved it.
Thank you for this video of Fort Worth ! It is wonderful . I am now planning to go there for a visit. Officer Calzada is such a nice person.I need to go to a positive motivating city like Fort Worth .

It is refreshing to see how nice those cities are!! I would even consider Texas as a vacation destination!! I love the “Cowboy Rodeo” theme!! And the two police officers were fantastic!! Fort Worth looks like a great place!!Thanks for the video Nick!! 🤗
So true they are different cities! I've worked in both. Difficult getting around in Ft Worth, as the streets are built kind of in a wagon wheel design, & most of the original street signs are missing. Speaking of the hood in Dallas, my work took me there. One day, I had to go see an elderly, bedbound man. The front door was broken & had no way of being secured anymore. I kept knocking loudly & yelling as loud as I could. I finally, & cautiously, opened it & finally stepped inside. I startled the man awake, as he roused himself to a half sitting position in bed, & his 357 dropped from beneath his pillow onto the floor. He apologized, immediately retrieved it back under his pillow & invited me in. I assured him I'd always knock & yell loudly before entering each time. I have other stories from the hood for the grandkids, but I finally made my own escape to the country. (Great git-up you had on for Ft Worth, but I'm not sure it would go over in Big D!)
I like cities that built their roads when horse and carriage were the big thing. I remember living in Colorado Springs the roads and intersections were so wide. They designed it that way so you could maneuver a horse and carriage changing directions in one swoop.
@@jrs4ex That makes sense! Often the streets stop at a cross street, & begin again a half block over. It drove me crazy. However, I must say I would prefer living in Ft Worth than Dallas (but I was country girl before moving to Dallas).
Dallas is definitely just about the Money. It’s not a bad thing it’s just what it is. Dallas revolves around money. In Dallas If it ain’t about money nobody cares. ❤️DTX
Go Fort Worth!.❤ My best times were always in Fort Worth when I used to travel to the DFW area for work. And I always felt safer there than in Vancouver BC, anyday of the week!
@Nick Johnson, I’m a Fort Worth native. Hopefully the next time you come to Fort Worth I can get a chance to see you in person. Appreciate your complements about our city. I follow your channel and love your work. Keep up the good work my brother!✌🏽
I was in Fort Worth and Dallas last year. That city was MUCH better than I thought it was gonna be. Its high on a list of places I would move but damn if the taxes. tolls and fees are a killer once you do the numbers
Driving during the evening rush hour from DFW airport area on my way to Austin, it’d take hours. So, the Toll & over $20 just to get outta that congested area - driving thru the southern side of Ft.W. is a heartbreaking mess. But the city proper, yeeesss indeed!
I'm a DFW resident i grew up in Ft Worth to be exact! The area has changed so much! The urban cowboy vibe that's been here for generations, is slowly disappearing! Ft Worth still has it but it not in Dallas like it used to be! Not to many J.R. Ewings anymore. That being said this is my hometown and i will always love DFW!
Also Dallas ft worth is the largest metro area in the “south” you could never experience the whole are in one trip . We have so many suburbs and cities
Fort Worth and the area west of Fort Worth is still traditional…a lot of growth but it just seems better than a lot of the other parts of state…it is a good family town
Fort Worth definitely beats every city in Texas. Despite me growing up in a rough place like in Austin, I appreciate the tradition the stockyards keep in place, it feels more lively there. Even a lot of my good friends come from the DFW area but really Fort Worth is something special. Gotta love the rodeos, they’re fun.
I live in Houston I'm from Houston but I must say that I have a special place in my heart for fort Worth because fort Worth is tried and true fort Worth is the backbone of Dallas is what's keeping Dallas afloat pretty soon fort Worth will surpass Dallas in population if it keeps the trend that is going right now it's a very clean beautiful charming City it looks like one big master plan community / theme park!
Next time you're in Ft. Worth go to the Ole South Pancake House, it's killer. Down by TCU. I do like Ft.Worth better than Dallas. Lived in Arlington as a kid.
@texasgina I don't mind driving there being as I lived in Houston for a few years and that us some rough driving. We'd go to DFW and it was like a nice smooth vacation drive. Hahaha
Yes absolutely do a video of the stockyard. You got my attention regarding FW. We are preparing to sell our house and land in Florida ( cow country ) and travel full time in our RV. I NEVER planned on Texas urban areas since I cannot stand urban areas. But more and more I’m seeing places to visit in Texas.

Went thru Dallas in 77 as well as San Antonio . Fort Worth seems like a nice place to vacation or even to live.
Very nice~I think I'll move to Fort Worth,Texas😊 Yaya! enjoyed watching the video.
I’m thinking Nick and Mappy should move to Texas…they have so much fun and I enjoy seeing them in Texas. Dallas Ft Worth my favorite so far.
I dated a Ft. Worth cop once & IDK what it is but a delightful personality & his service was… uhh, outstanding…😎
You should visit Texas in the summer! It's hot as hell!
We lived near the DFW metro for several years and loved it, especially Fort Worth. I'd gladly live there again.
Nice Citys. Looks good! And the Officers are sympathetic. I like it.
Love you Nick! I’m so happy you’re in my home state. I hope everyone treated you well. ❤️❤️❤️
Most did!!
Except that B in the bar!
God bless our great police officers! Thank you for the video, Nick
13:24 Ross Perot used to live in the Preston Hollow neighborhood in Noth Dallas, but he passed away in 2019.
6:07 Officer Buddy is awesome and funny! 😂 A very likable person. Officer Chelsea is wonderful.
I like Fort Worth. I like this video!😊❤
I like this comment!
We all get to find out in every episode that you truly do love America.. thank you for another great episode..
This was so enjoyable. Gotta love the Texans. Well done, Fort Worth!
Go my Aussie brothers, go!!! I know for a fact that they won’t let the team down. Fricken awesome!! Glad you had the pleasure Nick! ♥️♥️⭐️🇦🇺
Thank You Nick Johnson For This Interesting Video❤❤.
This looks like a nice little slice of America.
Hahaha
This made me subscribe. When we drive from Austin to Fort Worth, we have such a great time.
You hadn't subscribed by now Yolanda??
Yes absolutely do a video of the stockyard.
You got my attention regarding FW.
We are preparing to sell our house and land in Florida ( cow country ) and travel full time in our RV.
I NEVER planned on Texas urban areas since I cannot stand urban areas.
But more and more I’m seeing places to visit in Texas.
Wow! Looks like DTLA in the late 80's. Must be that money keeps it nice! Fort Worth seems like the place to be. Like the attitudes, a lot!
Thank you for going to and exposing these deplorable states and the awful conditions so that we don't have to! stay safe!
And I loved Buddy the police officer.wish our police in Australia were that friendly and community friendly and helpful.great guy.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ YAY! My favorite place in the world!!
This is one of the first cities you've explored that I actually felt drawn to, thanks for that!
Nick, you gone to Luby's restaurant yet? That's a big thing down there, not many cafeterias left in the US anymore.
Or Mama's pizza in FW. It is just a good solid pizza.
You giving Fort Worth a thumbs 👍🏾 is golden.
Nick and Mappy ❤❤❤😮😮😮😊😊😊
Hope you had a good weekend Wanda!
I moved to Fort Worth a year ago and love it. Scary weather takes a while to get use to. Working at Serious Pizza is fun.
Went thru Dallas in 77 as well as San Antonio . Fort Worth seems like a nice place to vacation or even to live. I like the Texas accent being born there myself. One of first things a person will pick up on if they go to Texas is the accent. Even the hood slang is different there too. Mike in Denver😊😮
