Then it’s quite easy to see all the strings attached to each other. It actually can’t be any other way. He is fabulous with the symbolisms for everything. I’m glad you caught the reference to ‘Real’ with the knife. In ‘Real’ he says ‘I took the machete, the game wasn’t ready’ and he’s wielding a knife. Lots of reactors and people pointed out that it was clearly not a machete, and in this he’s referencing a knife and is wielding a machete. Or just taking into consideration how his heart feels? From a Christian perspective letting your heart make your decisions or be the primary guiding factor in your life is...unwise. And to be fair, that might not be what nf was even saying. But I think alot of ppl will hear that. That we should trust what our heart says. Biblically we are to "trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. In all your ways submit to him and he will set your path straight. " to be clear there's nothing wrong with listening to what your heart says. But it shouldn't be making your decisions for you. I'm not saying your heart is always wrong. It can definitely steer you in the right direction sometimes, but it can also lead you astray. That's why you should use a more reliable method. You wouldn't use a compass that sometimes points you in the right direction.

The genius of NF is his ability to tie his concepts back together but also to consider future projects and themes.
