Balloons are burdens. The cart is his mind. In Perception, his mind was in a big cage - "Outcast". Now he's got a portable cage for it because he's headed out on The Search. This song came out just prior to The Search being released. #NF 😎 Oh - the fake smile... He puts it on when people say he should be happy, make happier music, etc. Nate also is a huge fan of the Joker. You will see this in various songs and lyrics.
Balloons are a clever choice for his particular burdens. They are largely mental and emotional burdens and he could just simply let them go if he really wanted, let them float away, but part of him doesn't want to let them go.

The smile is taken from The Joker, but represents how some people want him to be happy when he’s not. I’m honestly not sure about the meaning of the cart, however The balloons are his burdens, which he feels like he can never let go and he always has to keep to himself, for now-
So basically when he says this isn't Nate's flow he means he was using big Sean's flow from the song bounce back, but then gives big Sean a shoutout later in the song by saying I wish I could decide like big sean does, which is a reference to big Sean's album "I decided" and that album also has the song bounce back on it where Nate got the flow from.

When he said "stick my knife inside of Pennywise" he was referring to how Pennywise carries around balloons. And the black balloons symbolize nates burdens, and how he should pop the balloons, which you can infer what that means about the burdens. And also when said "this isn't nates flow" he was talking about how the flow is very similar to the flow on Big Seans song "Bounce Back".
Good morning Tom, This single came out about 6 months before he dropped "The Search" Album. This is when he first introduced us to the black balloons (representing his burdens) and the Joker fake smile painted on him, directly. He did paint fake smiles on the family wearing masks in Therapy Session, previously. On the walls you'll notice, "Perception", "Texas", "Why", "Help Me", "Lies", a picture of the keys to his mind that we've seen in "Green Lights", "Outro", and "Outcast", and many other themes that are like his thoughts in "Mansion." The shopping cart represents a mobile prison of his mind that is Oscar Mike (On The Move) from the door of the cage opening in "Outcast." He opened the door to his mind to us through his music, but he is still Searching for answers and brings his balloons (burdens) with him, literally slowing him down, dragging behind his cart. He hasn't found a way to heal and fully let go of all his burdens yet. Furthermore, the Pennywise reference is in regards to the "It" clown. When he says, "Wish I could think like Big Sean does, but I just Can't Decide", is a reference to Big Sean's, "I Decided" studio album in 2017. It's a shout out to Big Sean, as this song highly models the flow of Big Sean in "Bounce Back." Big Sean is not to be confused with Sean "P Diddy" Combs. Hope this helps!
It’s funny in this video for “Why” he raps “I just can’t decide if I should stick my knife inside of Pennywise” while holding a machete but in the video for “Real” (when he is on that plane) he raps “It’s my time, this ladder I climbed. I took the machete, the game isn’t ready” while holding a knife.
Pennywise is a killer clown based off John Wayne Gasey (think I'm spelling that right), so I always assumed that "Stick my knife inside of Pennywise" meant "Kill these clowns"
When he says "this isn't Nate's flow", he's talking about Big Sean (that flow was from one of Big Sean's songs called "Bounce Back"... later he mentions Big Sean by name as further recognition of his influence).
i really enjoy watching reaction channels like yours because i think it's neat to hear somebody else's perspective on something. that's one of the positives of the internet i feel like and we can share what we think and feel like we're a part of something bigger than ourselves. it's like being able to have that connection with others without the personal element of having to maintain a relationship.
This song is so perfect because of the openness to personal interpretation. As a person with CPTSD, this song encompasses many of my own struggles. 💞 Thank you for the reactions. I'm late to this one, but it is great to hear your perspective.
Hi Tom, Great reaction, just to clarify the Big Sean lyric, he wishes he could think like Big Sean, but can’t decide, that’s because Big Sean has an album called “I Decided” so he wants to be like Big Sean and “decide”. Hope this helps
As you mentioned- if you’re feeling inadequate of your viewers/success I’ll say it’s not your training or amount of content you put out as to why I watch. Rather it is the authenticity and honest feedback of your work that brings me back. Keep up the great work
It’s so cool seeing a professional analyze the music and explain what the rest of us can feel, but not necessarily articulate. Thank you so much! You should really check out Bo Burnham too, I would suggest Can’t Handle This, We Think We Know You, That Funny Feeling, and All Eyes on Me. I’d really like to hear your professional take on them!
I know you saw my other comment, but reacting to My Life by NF would be amazing! That song isn’t one of his most popular but the message would be great to react too!
When you say you could go back to the 80’s music and do the same thing, I know you’re referring to when I brought up Don Henley and the Boys of Summer! It’ll hit the top of the queue one of these months :)
This is such a great song I love the last bars. Knowing you show your skeleton but no one really knows him even if he shares what he really deals with.
I saw your video about Dave-"Black", and i think you should listen to his album Psycodrama, because it's put together like a therapy session, why would be really fitting if you would react to it. Good songs from the Album: Enviroment, Lesly, psycho and so many more
Hello Tom. All your reactions are great. Keep up the good work. Just one thing, I've noticed in all your videos that the cameras focus is on your background instead of you, would be great if you could fix that :)
Hey Tom, how r ya doin'? Hope everything is fine, just wanted to say that you make amazing videos and I am glad to be here in your comment section dude. A Grettings from Germany my friend, keep going🤩

NF is using the flow that Big Sean uses in a verse in his own song Bounce Back. He is a big fan of Big Sean that’s why he says, “I wish that I could think like big sean does but I just can’t decide” I don’t know if anyone’s answered but i’m pretty positive this is WHY:)
I HIGHLY recommend reacting to the entire search album in order. It's an entire cohesive thing, frankly it's a masterpiece. The entire album is coming from the perspective of mental health and the search for meaning and finding yourself.
Hey, could you do a Lil Bo Weep song in memory of her recent passing ❤️ I would reccomend ‘Untitled’ or ‘not ok but it’s ok’ … too many young people lost to suicide. Love the work as always 💜
Big Sean is a Detroit rapper that has a song where he says he doesn't give a f so he's saying he wished he didn't care about it and had Big Sean's perspective and pennywise is the insane murdering clown from the movie it. Glad you're a therapist willing to learn
I don't see it yet in the comments but the flow that isn't Nates is another artists, Big Sean. Off his album "I've Decided" Both referenced in this song. Nice little shout out.
Big Sean is a "current" rapper he's pretty solid , good lyrically and has a fairly large fanbase. And the penny wise line might have been a double entrendre about the rap community, at this time he was getting on other rappers radar even had some comparisons to Eminem which is why he's seesawing from hard on himself to proud alot . There's a few other lines that seem surface level about himself but they may be double entendres about other rappers perception of him
I think you would like breaking down some of the songs from an artist called Guardin. some recommendations: Shadow Demons in my orbit In my sleep Doormat
Big Seans flow from bounce back and he mentions big sean and his album I decided. Big sean is a Detroit michigan rapper he likes. They follow eachother on socials Also a ton of eggs written on wall.
I posted the comment below originally on when you reacted to NF If You Want Love. I know it's probably impossible to keep up with every comment, but if you have a chance, can you please read the comment below and, as a therapist, give me your thoughts? I know I probably shouldn't share something as personal as this on a public forum, so to everyone else, please be respectful. I'm only 31 years old, but for years, I've been regularly breaking down and crying, and panicking, because I am intensely aware that I'm going to die, the love of my life is going to die, my baby, who's only 11 months old right now, he's going to grow up and eventually die, and I don't know how to handle it. If everyone dies, what's the point? It's to the extent that a lot of times when I'm holding my son, I'm already thinking about him becoming a teenager, then an adult, then an old man with Alzheimer's who can't remember his grandchildren's names, and I am very aware that this is not normal. I spend so much time crying my eyes out to the point sometimes that I hyperventilate over what will eventually be lost that I can't enjoy what's happening now. I'm in a constant state of mourning what hasn't been lost yet to the point that it might as well already be lost. I can't take this anymore. Spending time with my son is painful because in my mind, he's already an adult with his own life and he doesn't call anymore and everytime I call he's busy, or I'm in a senior citizen housing place somewhere and he hasn't visited for almost a year and I'm starting to forget what he looks like or the sound of his voice. I don't want to be this way anymore. I can't handle it. Please help me. I can't live like this anymore.
First of all, thank you for being so honest and for sharing your life, the good and bad. Having someone to talk with, that is good and qualified can be super helpful with what you’re describing, so I encourage you to seek that out. Secondly, our life here, your life with your child, and our experience with people everyday is about today. Appreciating the experiences we have, the “daily bread” that we have that is “enough” for us to sustain and feel satisfied. So it’s about letting those thoughts and future beliefs come in, give them a certain amount of time (5 minutes) to stay and then usher them out of your brain and go for a walk or go to a different room and bring the present moment back in. Way too much for me to just type here, but there is hope and help and possibility. Thanks for the comment😊👍

I love your videos! found you cause i'm a big juice fan and they always make my day!😁
Thanks chicken! Appreciate the comments😊😁
Yeass, one of my favourites! Maybe the next one can be I miss the days or The search. Oh and a belated congratzz on the 100k🎉 Well deserved
Thank you!😊👍
This song is my top 5 fav nf songs ever
Good morning Tom,
This single came out about 6 months before he dropped "The Search" Album.
😊👍
i only just started watching you but you make my day so much better. thank you🙂
Thank you!!😊👍
Pennywise is a killer clown based off John Wayne Gasey (think I'm spelling that right), so I always assumed that "Stick my knife inside of Pennywise" meant "Kill these clowns"
When he says "this isn't Nate's flow", he's talking about Big Sean (that flow was from one of Big Sean's songs called "Bounce Back"... later he mentions Big Sean by name as further recognition of his influence).
Pennywise is from It. He basically embodies fear, so he’s saying he can’t decide if he should kill his fear.
i really enjoy watching reaction channels like yours because i think it's neat to hear somebody else's perspective on something. that's one of the positives of the internet i feel like and we can share what we think and feel like we're a part of something bigger than ourselves. it's like being able to have that connection with others without the personal element of having to maintain a relationship.
This song is so perfect because of the openness to personal interpretation. As a person with CPTSD, this song encompasses many of my own struggles. 💞 Thank you for the reactions. I'm late to this one, but it is great to hear your perspective.
10:37 Big Sean is a rapper he released an album called "I decided" in 2017 so it's a shout out to big sean and the album
Hi Tom,
Great reaction, just to clarify the Big Sean lyric, he wishes he could think like Big Sean, but can’t decide, that’s because Big Sean has an album called “I Decided” so he wants to be like Big Sean and “decide”.
Hope this helps
This does help a lot, thanks😊👍
yo greetings from Brazil, nice video man!
Thanks Pedro😊👍
We need some earl sweatshirt I feel whoa, hive, and chum are great
Love your NF reactions i could watch them again and again
Great video and reaction as always
As you mentioned- if you’re feeling inadequate of your viewers/success I’ll say it’s not your training or amount of content you put out as to why I watch. Rather it is the authenticity and honest feedback of your work that brings me back. Keep up the great work
He helps me so much and u tom too thanks for everything
You should definitely react to killstation - Devil in her heart. The pain in his voice is so haunting, it’s beautiful 🖤
This a good song love the reaction keep up da work.
Great video! :) can’t wait for more!
WE GOT A LOGO! 🔥
Cool
You caught that!?😊
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial As soon as I saw the notification :D
I know you saw my other comment, but reacting to My Life by NF would be amazing! That song isn’t one of his most popular but the message would be great to react too!
When you say you could go back to the 80’s music and do the same thing, I know you’re referring to when I brought up Don Henley and the Boys of Summer! It’ll hit the top of the queue one of these months :)
Patreon will have some of this! Wait until that opens soon! And I’m putting this song right up front on Patreon!😊👍
CHANNEL IS AMAZING !! ❤❤
Thank you so much 😁😁😁
This is the best album from NF! Excited for you to experience the entire thing (:
This is such a great song
I love the last bars. Knowing you show your skeleton but no one really knows him even if he shares what he really deals with.
Congratulations for your 100k!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊👍

@@ReactionTherapyOfficial I'm insured well!!! Also, I read comments that said, 'outcast'. I highly recommend this also! Hope all is well!!!
I saw your video about Dave-"Black", and i think you should listen to his album Psycodrama, because it's put together like a therapy session, why would be really fitting if you would react to it. Good songs from the Album: Enviroment, Lesly, psycho and so many more
Great reactions. Great angle to come at it. Fantastic
Hello Tom. All your reactions are great. Keep up the good work.
Just one thing, I've noticed in all your videos that the cameras focus is on your background instead of you, would be great if you could fix that :)
I’ll have nick check it out because it looks pretty clear to me on this video. Thanks for the feedback😊👍
this song may not be my favorite but it’s really underrated.
Hey Tom, how r ya doin'? Hope everything is fine, just wanted to say that you make amazing videos and I am glad to be here in your comment section dude. A

For a new Artist to react to, i would really love to see: Rise Against - Make it Stop
Hey man he's got a link in his bio to a Google forum. You should submit your request there.
Definitely a Top5 NF track...👍👊😎
I wrote this. I’ll be playing this with Nate on July 19, 2023! It’ll be 10 years after my injury in college!
Wait…. What? Seriously????🤔😳
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial Yes. I’ll play this with Nate on July 18th, 2023
NF is using the flow that Big Sean uses in a verse in his own song Bounce Back. He is a big fan of Big Sean that’s why he says, “I wish that I could think like big sean does but I just can’t decide”
I don’t know if anyone’s answered but i’m pretty positive this is WHY:)
I appreciate you doing videos I need to hear some stuff you say I need a therapist like you
Big Sean is a Detroit rapper that has a song where he says he doesn't give a f so he's saying he wished he didn't care about it and had Big Sean's perspective and pennywise is the insane murdering clown from the movie it.
There's a few other lines that seem surface level about himself but they may be double entendres about other rappers perception of him
My definition of Success is going to bed in the evening with everything done.. no bad feelings, and maybe not that much selfhate for once
I love this!!!😊👍
Great reaction as always! Can you react to Trauma by NF? The song is so beautiful and raw emotions from NF.
omg i love your videos!!!!! You should react to Lost in the moment by NF if you have not already.. Your videos are amazing!!!!!
Thank you so much😊👍
Love your reactions Tom!
Thank you 😊👍
I need one to NF-Time pleaseeee
We enjoy you enjoying what we enjoy
He is preparing to leave the mansion. He is loading up his "safe room/cell from outcast " and his burdens/balloons.
Very cool!!😊👍
Pennewise is a symbol of killing his fear as pennewise the clown feeds of the fear of children
Yay love this song
I think you would like breaking down some of the songs from an artist called Guardin.

Big Sean is a rapper that has an album called i decided. Also, he is using ome of big sean's flows. Thats why he says this isnt nates flow.
Awesome! Thanks so much for telling me!😊👍
Big Sean is another amazing talented rapper you should listen to.
Hey Tom, the whole three different personas thing is honestly just looking to deep into it. Nate is just Nate
Do NF Time
Big Seans flow from bounce back and he mentions big sean and his album I decided. Big sean is a Detroit michigan rapper he likes. They follow eachother on socials

Too much to follow! He’s incredible!! Thanks so much for the comments Nikki!😊👍
Oh wow new channel pfp
