Wow, Im watching from Vietnam and watching HIS JOY IS GIVING ME JOY! I go back many years with the CLARKS and they are on another level. I have often thought the world would be their oyster if they were not Gospel only, so its always good to see the world appreciate the ART aspect of her gift.
This song is pure mastery and perfection. The lyrics, arrangement, choir, so anointed. Twinkie is unmatched. Rance sang this for the first time right there live. He didn’t know the song. Twinkie wrote the lyrics out for him and he killed it!!!! She had sent a tape to his hotel by mail but he did not receive it. He came there right off the plane to sing with her. They thought they might have to do a few takes but Rance only ever needs 1.:

I HAVE SEEN MANY ANOINTED GOSPEL SINGERS BE ABLE TO SING W/O REHEARSAL. JUST AS THE CLARK SISTER IS SINGING, DIRECTING THE CHOIR, AND THE BAND, AT THE SAME TIME. ITS SUPERNATURAL.
I love how you even started worshipping as you watched. Our God is so AWESOME. Worship transcends ethnicity when Christ is the center. The bass player is phenomenal as well providing a steady rhythm.

As often as I listen to this video I always pick up something different every time even in my own singing. My dad would play Bishop Allen music all the time ❤ they are rejoicing together and I miss them both

No joke, I listen to this at least a few times a week! The way Twinkie sings, plays the keys, directs, and genuinely worships is just so mesmerizing to me. This is why she was put on Earth.
Side note: if I remember correctly, Rance had literally just gotten into town and this is the first time he's even seeing this song

This is an oldie but sure enough goody praise God Twinkie and Rance Allen and The Clark sisters as well as mother Mary McLeod was so young this is when music was really at his best vocals was good and so glad that you bought this back so others can hear you because I played just about every day. I love the song and what a praise so meaningful today. Just to let you know that The Clark sisters as well as other black gospel singers has been doing this for such a long time that we need to go back and bring out the real gospel because back then even the choirs dress well wasn't step and played like they were in Carnegie Hall with respect toward God and man himself. 😅

The Clarks have done so much work with the Michigan State Mass choir. During those years the Clarks were in their prime. You gotta gotta gotta check that out if you haven't already. The best rabbit hole to go down😅
I used to have this VHS tape. The late Bishop Allen just got up there and winged it impromptu. He was a singer's singer!
Twinkie scratched her nose, fixed her hair, directed the choice, sang lead and cracked up all while playing the keyboard and never missed a beat, and note or a key! Go head on Girl!!!

They mother is the creator of the three part harmony in music and choir. You should research the history of thier mother and family. Their mother could sing. By the way they grew up next door to a lot of motown artists

We had a appreciation service in North Carolina for dad. like a year before he died At John p keys church where he had to learn who certain rappers were because they were honoring him and telling him the influence he had on them lol.he didn't realize his abilities he just wanted to spread love ❤

Dr. Clark only directs the choir on this one. The song is really a Twinkie solo until Rance Allen comes in. The other sisters are not on this song.
