- Hi! It's Maria! :) I had questions about how I treat my art dolls hair and here it is.

Ok, so:
1. Hot water almost boiling to get the sticky stuff out.
2. use a metal comb to comb through the dolls hair starting at the ends.
3.wash with dish washing detergent so that no film will be added to the dolls hair.
4.Immerse in fabric softner and water mixture for 3-5 minutes.
5. Brush again.
6. dry on top of towels.
now I need to write this down before I forget the process .
Patricia Willman you can also use baby powder /talcum powder to get rid of the sticky stuff

This is where I’m at in my motherhood. I buy my daughter dolls and I always give them new faces and do something with their hair! Only my friends think they’re cool though 😂

I did a combination of things a couple years ago to get the gunk out of a doll's hair. But I didn't write it down and no other tutorials I had found were helpful (the fixes were all temporary and would have to be redone over and over again).
This is just what I needed! I have a couple of dolls with gunk hair that I hope to fix with this method.
Really wish I didn't chuck out my old bratz dolls now...

Yes, I've seen other videos specifically for frizzy hair and they use clothes softner as well.

Beautifully done and this is very helpful! I collect bratz dolls and whenever i come across them in thrift stores their hair is so messy and tangled and after doing this her hair looks as if i just bought her, only better because her hair is actually silky! Thank you!
