- I have been home in Colorado this week so I have been reflecting on my life haha. A little different video this week hahaha but I thought I would let you get to know a little more about me and how I got here. Love you !!!

I haaaated school so I dropped out in year 10 (Australia so I was 16 years old) came from a lower middle class family so we didn’t have money, worked my ass off and moved out of home at 19 and now fast forward to 27 years old I own my own Beauty salon and earn 3-4 times more a week than any of my friends who went to college and I only work 4 days a week and can take days off and holidays whenever I want. School is not for everyone and I think if you’ve got the right mindset you can do anything

I went to college for a year and a half. Realized it wasn't for me. Like you, went because that's "what you're supposed to do".
Now, I'm a firm believer that most people shouldn't go to College straight out of high school. Most kids don't even know who they are yet, much less their passions and what they want in life yet. Until you know that, college is useless.
I work with so many people who have degrees and massive student debt and work at a job that doesn't require anything.

In high schools, college was my biggest aspiration. In my sophomore year of high school I was buying books about different colleges, scholarships, and majors. My head was always thinking about going away to college and all the amazing things that I would do there. I would be more involved, I would have so many more friends, I would be outgoing, I would study abroad. College was supposed to be the time of my life. Now I'm already 4 weeks into my first year of college and I just feel emotionally drained. I have no friends, I'm stressed out about classes, and I just don't feel like myself. The only thing that's motivating me to get through each week are the weekends I get to go home. I'm freaking out that I made the biggest mistake of my life but I don't know what I'll do with my life If I drop, and I'm worried that I'll disappoint my parents if I do. I know are stories aren't similar but listening to what you went through and also reading through all the other comments really helps because now I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
First semester and freshman year of college (last year) in general was really hard for me too. I will say tho that my friend two years ahead of me told me my junior year that her first semester was so horrible but that it got so much better and that’s what I held onto and got me through. At first it can be tough, it’s a huge adjustment, but don’t let that get you down. So many others are struggling, in one of my classes we shared all of our insecurities and everyone ended up crying and in a group hug because we realized we weren’t alone. Find a club or group that you can bond with and it will help a lot especially friend wise because then you’ll already know you have shared interests and something to talk about. And if you realize college isn’t for you or that now is not the right time, that’s ok too. I had to leave school, the place I love with the people I love, a month ago due to health issues interfering with my studies and it’s given me a lot of perspective just being able to step away from it. I changed my major because I go to a polytechnic Institute so it’s super dry sometimes but I found a more creative way to pursue the same end goal and I’m soooo excited to return-even tho the first year was really hard and I even failed a class. You will be ok and don’t feel bad about asking for help, getting help was one of the best things I did. Good luck! ❤️
same, im currently in my third week of second semester as a freshman. i am miserable, unmotivated and i honestly just want to drop out. i've always done good in school, and going to college has always been the plan. im a first-generation college student, so i feel like i have so much responsibility to get a degree and finish college. i live far away from my family and friends too, so i only get to see them during winter and summer break, which is so hard, because i really haven't met any good friends here either.

I got through my first semester of college and because of the reasons you spoke of as well as a few more I didn't sign up for spring semester and went home. I realized that school is obtainable but it doesn't have to take away from your life or how you feel. I've had many struggles with my parents and how they feel about it but at the end of the day the people who love you will support you and help you when you need them. If you aren't happy don't be afraid to try new things, it's your life and you should live it for yourself not others. College isn't going anywhere, you can leave and go back if you end up thinking that's what's right for you. Don't hold yourself back for others! Believe me you're not alone and we are all going through this together!
DROPPING OUT IS NOT A BAD THING I was so devastated every day in college I would cry every day. I even gave up on my brems .Now I'm planing to go to vocational school and learn a specific job and hopefully it all werks out

This is literally my life story. EXCEPTTTT the reason I never went to college or made it through high school was because of an anxiety disorder. Which I still have. TH-cam has been the only thing in my life that I felt like this is my thing. I live in a university town and if you don't go there then you're looked down upon. Wow do I ever understand you girl. I hope one day I can give you a hug. This video is what I needed to hear.
I haven’t commented on TH-cam since I was probably like 10. I’m 21 now and also struggling to find my place in life, so this video really resonates with me. I’m in my second (almost third) year of college as a business major and I’m really only staying because I feel like it’ll give my life some sort of meaning. What I really want to do is to travel and I hope one day something will sweep me up and carry me to do cool things like you. You’re an inspiration to me and many others Morgan! Whenever i think about college, about what I want to be and where I want to be in the future, I feel like I’m suffocating. Like I have these expectations that I’ve set for myself and I’m terrified of failing. I always feel like it’s so far, like I’m not putting in enough work. Im glad you started making videos again because you’re incredibly relatable and it’s people like you that remind me to keep working because you never stopped looking for something better.

I just dropped out of college after secen years of struggling to find myself...I’ve forcing it forever for my parents and honestly I’ve been miserable. Crying every day in the bathroom,daily panic attacks, insomnia and anxiety. I’ve trying to convince myself that I wanted this but honestly, I can’t anymore...I couldn’t sleep or eat....I hated what it did to me...since I dropped out, I feel like I can breathe again...I’m gonna pursue of my passions that I always lived for...makeup 💙 Morgan you are not alone 💙 I feel like a failure too, so ashamed and guilty...when it doesn’t make me less smart!

I had an accident a few years ago that I still need surgeries to heal from and my boyfriend's parents and people who don't really know me in my extended family ask ALL the time "so what are you doing?" I feel like I have no choice but go to school. And I don’t even make enough money to go to a nice one. So I go to a community college in my small town. And I really hate it. And that’s why I’ve lagged so hard on finishing. I’m 23 years old so I’m older then you. And I still live with my parents. I have a job and I go to school but I don’t make enough money to love on my own. And all my friends have moved away or have gotten married. So I don’t even have friends anymore. And then the guy I have a thing with is starting to show disinterest in me. So... yeah. I feel like a failure. Like no one cares about me. And like my life is always gonna be this. (I know it’s not and I’m trying to make it better but it’s just how I feel). I hate college but I need it because working minimum wage is bullshit and I can’t do it for the rest of my life. I need to get out of this house and this town. But I’m scared I never will. Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for sharing your story! I've been in a similar boat, and your story is very inspirational! My friend and I started a TH-cam channel about a year ago (we have over 100 videos!). We live in a small town, there really isn't much here, and we want to break out of the mold that society wants us to live in! What you've described is so similar to how I feel, and it's nice to know there are others out there who think this way! I've felt stuck for so long, and it gives me hope that you've made it and you're happy where you are now :)

I am 26 and have to say that I’ve struggled with school, self image and the whole “correct adult lifestyle” living bullshit and after watching your video, it NEEDS to be spread. Young adults and kids in school need to hear that it’s okay to do things outside the norm and that college, yes, it’s great! But as I’m sitting here 20 weeks pregers, I still strongly believe that school isn’t for everyone or the best quote ever: “School isn’t a place for smart people”. I think young adults are put under too much pressure in relation to "going to the best school." "Finding the perfect degree." "Getting that glamorous job." You cannot be perfect in an imperfect world. For people in their 20's freaking out about the future you have plenty of time. Decided what you want to do and when you want to do it on YOUR OWN TERMS. Make the world adaptable to what you want and not what other people think you should have or do. Many parents I think live vicariously through their children or in some cases honestly want the best for them but don't let their children discover what is best for them in their own way and at their own pace if that makes sense to anyone.

Honestly, this made me feel like I’m not alone... I live in the springs, and I started out at a university trying nursing, never FAILED a class in high school, I was on top of everything. Failed school. Transferred to a community college down here and STILL failing and I feel like I’m such a failure... but seeing someone else in the spotlight go through the same thing makes me feel warm inside knowing I’m not alone. Personally the problem that I faced was that I was a suicidal teenager. I didn’t think that I was going to make it until my next birthday, so when people were applying to colleges I was trying to figure out how to live till the next day. I had amazing grades, and could have gone anywhere, but I didn’t have the willpower to apply to good colleges. So I applied to a community college during instant admissions, got immediately accepted and lived my life. I finally got the help I needed and now I’m married and happy. But that’s my story or whatever.

I went from community college, got my associates degree, then when to school to be an esthetician, worked for almost a year before enrolling in school again, been doing online school for 6 weeks while still working and Im moving to a bigger city in like 1-2 months and I have no clue what I am doing or how Im going to make it through. Being 22 and having a mid-life crisis is terrible. Let me know if you ever want to chat/vent.
Also, I know this is cheesy but I have a tattoo that says, "trust in your struggle" so I hope that might mean something to you
I'm about to turn 22. It's comforting to know we're all in a similar boat. I compare myself to others a lot and I feel very behind sometimes, but in reality I'm just finding my own path.
I quit halfway through college and my dad's side of the family acts like I committed murder or something, even to this day. They said that I will never be successful and will not amount to much because I 'didn't have proper education' aka didn't finish college.
And why? Because they, my dad's family, chose the course I have to take which is a medical course while I wanted Communications majoring in Public Relations.
I was not a very 'logic-wise' person and I really hate Math. And while I tried to force myself to like the classes cuz my parents have to pay for the tuition, I sunk into depression because I wasn't happy. I literally broke down during finals and I was so burnt out that I had to see a therapist about it and they told me to be open to my parents about what I'm really feeling. Thank goodness my parents were understanding people.
I'm currently working as a server and sometimes dog worker but I still come home smiling. Tired, but contented. I may not have a sign the door that says 'Dr' or a place in a law firm like my aunt, uncles and grandfather, but I'm happy with what I have accomplished which is a job that I enjoy, great friends and a loving family.

I've been binging yours and Ryland's and Shane's videos for a few weeks now and while I love all of them, this one really stuck out to me. I'm 23 and I've been to four different colleges. Dropped out of all of them, some more than once. The last time I took a class was probably two years ago. I've come to the conclusion that school just isn't for me, but I definitely understand where you're coming from in regards to family friends continually questioning you about your education choices. It eventually dies down, but there's always someone who loves to bring it up. In talking to strangers, I've actually found that most people agree with me and say school isn't for everyone; you should just do what makes you happy. I'm really glad you've found people that bring out the best in you and make you happy. It shows. Thank you for being open about it as well. It makes people like me feel better.

I've just watched this video just now after watching your videos for a couple of months. You remind me of myself with how you explain yourself to be. (I'm the black sheep of the family, dropped out of high school, didn't go to college, had a child young etc) so I know exactly how you feel. (to a extent)
I absolutely love your videos and I love who and what you are, and if you ever feel down just watch this video back and then look at the other videos that you have made after this. You make me and many others laugh and you should be so proud! Keep doing what you do because you have done so well for yourself and remember to keep being yourself.

Have you checked into k12? I get online school isn’t for everyone but they will send everything to you including laptop. Ps anxiety sucks!

I remember those days. And hated it just as much. Just explore what you enjoy. Take classes that interest you and continue from there. I took classes ranging from anthropology to physchology and theatre. I was interested in so many things. Eventually I started narrowing down my thoughts majoring in one minoring with two others.

I remember watching this a couple months ago and being so terrified of college in the summer because I’m a senior in high school this year. Literally the thought of college made me have a panic attack and I didn’t even touch any applications or start to fill them out until like last month. It’s so crazy how watching this video now like 6 months later because I feel everything you described. And idk why but seeing you go outside of the “norm” and doing something you want to do and pursuing your dreams really inspires me and gives me the confidence to go outside of the norm for my school. It’s so crazy to me that you’re literally only 4 years older than me and you’re brave enough to do this. Idk I just wanted to say how much this video inspired me ❤️

I am 27 as of June 25th and I dropped out of college because its really not for me. But I did try. I am starting my TH-cam channel around January when I get the money to buy a new camera and MacBook. Im excited because I have a passion and a love for vlogging and making videos and just connecting with people. Even if it doesn't go anywhere for a long time I'm going to keep at it. Its people like you and Shane and Ryland who inspire me even when there are people who are out there hating and saying its a joke and it won't go anywhere. Its my life and passion and I will do me. If you go back to school, go to a cheap school and don't get into debt. In the end, it's experience that matters most and the school's reputation is not what it used to be...the advantage to going to expensive schools is overrated..

I'm 18 and almost had a year out of school and I've just been working part time and going through a bunch of stuff and feeling lost and incomplete, but after seeing this I feel like it's okay to feel this way and that its all for a reason and I'll find my purpose later on, I just need to wait for the right timing of things
