Meeeee
59 and he still alright with me
Great Easter song!
Real Men and real Musicians.
Take me back!
"My Sweet Lord", "Spirit in the Sky", "Put Your Hand in the Hand of Man" and "Jesus is Just All Right" are examples of late sixties religious songs that were hits.
Early 70s...
Well, The Byrds covered it in the 60's. You might say this was a cover of a cover (though, honestly, I've never heard the original Art Reynolds Singers version)@@towertone
Please check out Glass Harp and Phil Keaggy if you haven't already, another tremendous religious hard rock wizard
Amen!
And of course Jesus Christ Superstar.
Pat Simmons with the best hair in the business
Tiran Porter on bass is great.
Just WOW 😲 Jesus is just alright!!! I've always loved this! Thank you Jesus Christ!!!
Titan Porter - probably one of the most crucial, but unknown relative to his band mates, components of the Doobie’s sound.
Tiran
Such a fantastic musician, one of the top bass players in rock
The Doobie Brothers are another shining example of great 70 music.
In the Wrecking Crew docs they always say that bands like The Doobies and The Eagles started a trend of bands that could actually play their instruments and didn't use session players. Pretty obvious here.
And then became session players for other people
Doobie Bros been gettin' the job done for 53 years. Just saw them 6-28-23, still an amazing Band.
Saw them in the early 70’s , Amazing then and amazing now
@@letitbe777good in the 80s also.
One of those classic Doobie Brothers songs that you NEVER get tired of listening to!
on top of being excellent musicians/song writers these guys had the LOOK
They certainly did! I saw them back in the early 70’s , up close and personal…oh yea!
And def lived the lifestyle
@ ohhh yeahhh 👍🏾
Greetings gentlemen and scholars 🇺🇸
This is as good as bands get vintage Doobies dam what a band...
Where we would be without jesus
He set me free
Amen!
Such an epic song! 1:53 is when the best part of the song begins. Jesus is one groovy guy
Definitely the best part.
It’s so nice to have a secular group sing about the Lord Jesus Christ. I have lots of respect for them.
I picked up Tiran Porter in my taxi circa 1990 outside of Los Gatos in the Santa Cruz mountains. Took him to pick up his Chevy Blazer from the mechanic in Campbell. Nice guy.
I love Tiran - you were so lucky to meet him .
One of the best bassist out there.. Is he still alive.
That is my alltime favorite DB line-up!
Doobie Brothers,I grew up on this stuff when it was very fresh!
These guys were the original bikers band, too!
Amen, Jesus is just alright with me.
No other name under the sun can do what the name of Jesus can ❤
right on, man!
Phenomenal song....I hear a LESLIE sounded guitar in there...
Never heard of a Leslie sounding guitar, I still say there is a Hammond in there somewhere.
How about that, kids?! A proper band!! Nobody in it had an easy part, either--there's a lot going on, and the work is just superb. Fantastic!
The best music came out of the 70s!
I always loved the way they slowed this song down and picked it back up.
That's perfection! 💎
Happy Wednesday... thank you for sharing! 💖
Impeccable live performance, nothing else to say
So many great performances from The Midnight Special!!!
A true TH-cam treat!!! I can’t get over how good they were. Great guitar, bass and vocals. Thank you Midnight Special!

In one word: "COOL".
1975 I was in Deleno Ca , Most of my family liked Spanish stations, I did too norteña ,but I Always like the music of Dooby brothers, Beautiful music 🎵, Iwas 13 yrs , so many troubles , in my Family, That’s was my refuge, It was not a bad one, May God bless them, Sinceramente,
The best version of the band
Happy 50 years Midnight Special.
Im an atheist, but this song kicks ass musically, that riff is badass.
Yeah man agnostic here
Jesus is indeed just alright. My sweet Lord
I'm rediscovering this band. I found a used copy of Toulouse Street on vinyl at an estate sale. I forgot what a great band they were. Every song on that album is perfect. I also forgot or didn't realize how much acoustic guitar they used on their studio albums. They covered Cotton Mouth, a Seals and Crofts song. Great stuff!
What a great, raw, live sound. Love hearing it without the extra layers in the studio recording.
That is a terrific way to kick off my birthday on the 5th of July morning, I hit play on this video and poured me a stiff drink, I'm feeling better already brother!
❤. 🇺🇲 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Bruce❣️🌞
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to you!
You're getting close to hitting the repeat button my friend ☮️♥️🎤🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶
Tiran is my personnel favorite man,,in music,,,regardless any better,,or any anything,,I just love him
The sounds of the Gibsons are delightful.
Awesome song, thank you TMS.
Still amazes me. You can just feel all the love
This has to be one of the coolest songs the Doobies made, that guitar riff at 0:23 and 3:27 is totally gnarly, I totally dig it!
I love Rock and Roll Heaven cause they got a Hell of a band...yours very truly Alfonso Cantu
Amen, brother!
I am. Saw this in 70s. Still blows my mind.
Skunk Baxter on bongos !!! … priceless !!!
That's John Hartman, not Jeff Baxter. Jeff wasn't in the group yet. BTW, those are congas, not bongos. Nice comment, though.
Very powerful song when you understand the cause of Jesus!
❤ You said it ☝️Thank ya!
What a great song for rock and roll we needed to hear about Jesus all the drugs and drinking we did thank God Jesus saved me and many of my brothers
My favorite and the best rock and roll band . Thank you for the upload .
The early year's,... the best one's.... from those 3.......

I love this song!!!
I remember playing this song at a mixer at a catholic school mid 70s thinking hhhmmmm perhaps not tonight 😅
1:56 that doobie chemistry
That bass !!!! mmm hmmm
Porter's Bass lines on all the Doobies songs are a real treat.
Smoking 🚬 too many Doobies. Jesus is God!!! Much love, Robert Duggan ⛪️ ❤️
Saw them several years ago, front row, the house was a rockin’ 😅
RIP percussionist John Hartman and drummer Mike Hossack. Great memory!
Saw the doobies a few months ago when they opened up for the Eagles, they blew them off the stage. Still kicking ass in the 2020's .
Amen😎
One of my favorite tunes by the Brothers
Oldie written by Art Reynolds circa 1966. Flawlessly done.
I remember when I got the album with this song on there, when you opened the album up there was was naked women, what a exciting era of rock!
This is some serious 70's gold. What a great band!
Jesus..!!!🙏🔥🔥🔥
Jesus saves
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
God bless
Im 61...my hair is long...but after seeing this....I want to grow it longer!!!!!!!!
I walked out on this song in '77 at Red Rocks, then Stayed and Sang along when they came back a few(early 2000s?) years ago.❤🙏🏼
Why did you walk out on the song in 1977?
@SkuttleBug1974 Hi,because in my 20s -30s it seemed like people were constantly trying to "save" me. It felt like they were Pushing religion on me.
@@PumbasSporty so you found Jesus? Or did you just sing along longer because it no longer bothered you? - Just curious and thanks.
"RIGHT ONNNNN!!!!!....MY BRUTHAAA!!!!
Always wished for an official live album with this lineup.
To be honest, I would want three---- this one....Later a 1975 concert with Skunk with Johnston in the mix, Then one say from 1976 or 1977 with McDonald, both uncluttered by touring horn sections.
Doobie Bros smashing it outta the park. Great version of J.I.J.A 🙏👍🙏👍
One of my favorite songs with my favorite message.
I stayed in the land next to Mr. Simmons, He looks the same. Awesome love his solo and this song.
Just awesome! I loved this song back then, it still holds up. What a band.
Love how it goea into the Pink Floyd- Esque part.
Jesus is The Savior of the Whole World
Yes Jesus saved my life from death.
