Best character review so far. No one that I watched said that the full uptime of her debuff needs an on-field pyro or Xiangling. As a new player, it took me three days to realize that the effect only works on the initial slash of Raiden's burst and then falls off. Also, absolutely everyone considers this a “buff”, while it is precisely a debuff on enemies affected by an overload. Means that during a fight with a crowd, not all enemies will receive it.
i love how you explain all things, when you explain chevreuse kit, weapon, and artifact. specially on artifact, i can only understand how songs days artifact mechanic works when you explained it, even i watch many hours on other reviewer and got nothing. thanks anyway
really liked her character in the roses and muskets event so glad she's turning out to be pretty good in her teams, sucks that her BiS artifact set is so inefficient at C0, though. Chevreuse was a god send for my Cyno. I'm reaching similar numbers I did with Aggravate and Kazuha's buff but with the benefit that Chevreuse's buffs last longer and will apply to the next waves of enemies. While Thoma helps with the juicy Overloads that deal up to 25k and keeping Cyno from being interrupted.

her “signature” set takes into account 4 ticks in the first 6 seconds and only 2 in the second 6. You can check this in the test room. (1356 * 0.908 + (2407 * 0 * 0.08)) * 0.5 * 0.9= 554 first normal attack. change the zero in the formula to 4, we get 900, change it to 2, we get 727 in the second proc of the set. The set can only be fully exploited on c6. but on c0 you can already fully implement the first proc by accelerating the healing to 3750
I’m glad you covered Yae Miko and it looked like that team absolutely destroyed abyss. I currently used Yae, bennet, xiangling and Navia this abyss first half. I wish I had chev so I could experience that team as well, but it’s unfortunately a very unfavorable banner for me. I have both bennet and kujo c6 and I don’t want to raise my raiden or my yoimiya past c0. If clorinde speculations are true being an overload based character, perhaps chev will rerun when clorinde runs. Regardless I’m saving my standard pulls for right after this patch to potentially get a lucky chev pull, very unlikely, but i usually save them for moments like this.
Hi, i have to correct you on one thing. The artifact set actually records the first instance of healing, the 2nd, the 3rd AND the 4th too. So in the first 6 seconds she will record 4 healing ticks (not three), while in the second 6 seconds of recording, she will only record the last 2 healings tick. While this means that the second wave of bonus ATK will be very low, it also means that at C0 chevreuse can actually cap out the 15k healing cap. With E talent lvl 9, you need at least 43279hp to cap out the first wave of song of days past. With talent lvl 10 you only need the 40k hp as required by the 2 ascension talent. Getting c3 will alleviate more the hp requirements (altho i would just recomend building her for healing as it will also improve her second round of atk bonus with SoDP.) C6 WILL make you able to cap out the second round of healing recording too, of course, just with 40k hp. (That's because while the first round of recording is 4 ticks, the second is 2 + a third one that is procd by the c6 that heals all party members by 10% of chev's hp) Keep in mins that this is with an hp% hp% healing bonus build and i actually prefer black tassle over rightful reward as you only need her burst at the start of the rotation (just in some teams, in other you needn't it at all) to garantee the charged ball proc, but for the rest of the rotations the burst is useless, so just invest in hp.
i still confuse.. how can on the second record she only can store 2 last tick ? isnt at 8, 10, 12 second she will record 3 ticks ? anyway you should watch his video recently about farming this artifact. the result was in contionous healing scenario, his team got 2 interval time when he got 5 hit damage increase, and its all static, same damage. its not like your explained theory telling that chevreuse will give different amount flat damage buff on that 2 inverval time, caused by behind mechanic on record healing tick
@@inoma8613 So i have just run some test just to be sure and behold, i found out something shocking. It is as i have said, the majority of times. Chevreuse healing ticks are 6 in total and get divided by the set as 4 ticks first recording and 2 ticks the second recording. BUT eventually some now and then, the set will actually record the first 3 and then the last 3 healing ticks. It is crazy, but it is like this. I would say the split probability is like 70% for the 4+2 healing ticks and 30% for the 3+3 healing ticks recorded. I'm gonna test some more and see what triggers this disparity and if ping is an issue.

@@inoma8613 i've run more test but couldn't determine if ping variations can cause the disparity between 4+2 or 3+3, it seems like it doesn't. In your case, when you get 4+2, you'll max out the first recording, but the second is going to be only 60% of the max recording. If you get 3+3 you're going to be around 90% of the max for both recordings. As i said before, in the 4+2 variation you'll need c6 to max out both recording, but you'll max out the first at least. In the 3+3 variation it is impossible to max out both recordings, you'll max out the second recording only with c6. Tho 90% of the max recording quota is still very good
Imagine if she could grant all those passives in a non restricted team (i.e. with Kazuha - all those damage bonuses from Chevreuse plus VV shred + crowd control) it would be absolutely broken. I think thats why they restricted it to pyro plus electro only. So use those overloaded teams against big fat enemies and use something else for the small light ones. 👍
Technically speaking, Chevy would be useless outside of overload. Her main appeal is freeing up VV units (Venti, *Jean*, Kazuha) for other teams. If she didn’t have a niche, you’d only be getting a 40% attack buff on top of 40% Res shred, and 40% EDB from Kazuha. It’s not really worth it for her to not be niche as there are better attack buffers.
5:39 and i don't agree with this. she is meant for overloaded so this is a good feature. like you are literally forgetting about Nilou's passive for her teams lol. there is no strict restriction here just feature. if u can't take it, then don't play chevy teams it's ok.
I spent just a a few minutes trying and i already concluded that she's a great buffer for terrible teams. she isn't at fault. she just needs a good team to buff.
Chevreuse CAN'T max out the Song artifact effect consistently, even at C6 the C6 tick is the only one that lets her cap it. Until that activates, you don't get max quills. She would need external healing bonus
I like running Raikoverload, which is Raiden Miko Xiangling and Chevreuse. It might just be Raikou, but i wanted to use a new team that isnt Yae Quicken or Raiden National
Same, but instead of xiangling I used Thoma cause I already built him for burgeon full EM and it's nice to see overload damage numbers also he apply Pyro off-feild and gives charged attack damage bonus at C6 and shield which is good cause miko is fragile.
I think I'll build Chevreuse if I accidentally C4+ her from 50/50 losses later. With all the restrictions and the way my account is right now, I'd rather build more flexible characters even if their numbers are lower. I agree the Pyro and Electro only restriction is silly because if they wanted to avoid players stacking Viridescent shred, they could have just placed a cap that Chevreuse's debuff only counts up to a certain amount. The character restriction unnecessarily penalises using other element utility supports like Yun Jin or bringing a different element for breaking shields. Thanks for detailing that long buff time: tips to match uptimes and cooldowns are always useful to me to build teams that don't "feel clunky".
I don't think clorinde will fix her since she will be most likely an onfiel-dps like raiden, what we rather need is a overload onfield pyro dps (Arlecchino hopefully) so we can put xiangling in other teams where she can vape her burst hits

Nice video, thx. Before C6, Song of Days Past is not an interesting set for Chevreuse; you need to over/heal 15 K in 6s to get full buff... With this set, Chevreuse heals 3500 every 2 secs (40K HP, skill lvl 13), 10-11 K for 6 sec. Once C4 is obtained, build Chevreuse full HP would be a shame. If there's already a noble set in the team, a 2PC HP + 2PC ER/Atk/golden troupe will be better almost all the time: 32-35 k HP and 60:120 CV, Chevreuse will bring so more total damage.
4.3 is the patch of "band aid" characters. Navia is a band aid for Geo, Chevreuse is a band-aid for overloaded being underpowered and clunky.

You should try Thundering Fury Bennett with Chevy, Fischl and Beidou!

For me she is useless, i need characters with elemental damage only, i play killing many enemies waves in elite routes most of the time.
