Thank god.. Finally.. Only one video which showed me the actual format to write the requirements.. 😅all other videos are just explaining how to list them...
I see, so now it make sense. The essential is to have functional and non functional requirement in the BRD. And the example that you gave is fantastic thank youu👍👍👍
Guys, it mainly depends on your organizational standards. But in general, BRD reflects the "why" part and FSD reflects "What". FSD additionally contains Requirement Modelling, diagrams, Mockups, Use Case Dscriptions along with quality attributes and the primary audience for FSD are internal stakeholders. While for BRD, the primary audience is External and Business Stakeholders. It's good to add Cost-Benefit Analysis and GAP Analysis in BRD.
Hi Terry thanks for video and it is very useful for beginning learners. I have question how can we convert BRD to SRD or FDD or FRD. do u have any video for that.if you have please share the link
Zippy DoDah On smaller projects I've used spreadsheets to track and trace requirements. On larger projects I've used MS Access to track a large number of requirements.
@@terryreiber9851 Hi Terry, great video! Just one question, aren't Business Requirements Document and Functional Requirements Document usually separate? This one seems to be just one document including both..
Hello Terry, your video is very helpful to understand the BRD/FRD. Thanks for it. However, if you could share the business association website link for which you made this doc. We (the beginners) can actually see the result of the doc.
Kapil HasijaHi Kapil, thanks for your question. The website requirements are for a "fictional" business association and website. I have used this requirements document layout for many customers in "real" project settings, however I can not share requirement those documents due to client confidentiality.

Hey Terry, Thank you for this video. This has been a great help. Also, I have a question. What should one include in the technical document ?
So if you are writing Functional and non functional requirements in the BRD, why would we create a separate FRD?
I have the same confusion
Depends on the organisation. As you are aware, many are confused !
